The Scythian

Name: Ursula of Scythia (also simply called The Scythian)
Appearance:


Bio: Ursula belongs to the warrior caste (Kshatriya) of the Iranian speaking Scythians, a race of horse riding warrior people native to the vast northern steppes of their world. For as long as any scythian can remember, their people have been devoted to fighting off and sealing away evil creatures of darkness. The Scythians refer to them as Masses, but most outside their universe would recognize these dark beings as Heartless. Ursula lost her father and many a tribesman to these beings, and she has a great deal of healthy hatred towards them. Originally she was tracking down a particularly powerful one, the Gogolothic Mass, and traced the being to the Caucasian Mountains, where it lurked beneath the sacred mountain of Mingi Taw. The Scythian fought her way to obtain the means to defeat the creature, sparing no enemy that got in her way. Ultimatly, she defeated the creature, but nearly lost her life in the process. Before the power of the Trigon Trifecta and the Sworcery of the Megatome killed her, she was saved and returned to health via the moogles. It was around this time of recovery that the Scythian encountered a brutish bear known only as The Grizzled Boor. Upon tracking down and defeating the Boor in battle, the Scythian was given a key to a place of great power if she would spare his life. Both made good on their promises, and the Boor showed her the Moon Grotto. Through meditation in this place, the Scythian got stronger and healed faster; in addition, this was the time that her keyblade first manifested, the Luna Sarmatiae. Upon being informed of what it was she had been gifted with and now aware of her enemy's true nature, she is ready to live up to her tribe's purpose and destroy the Heartless once and for all.

Age:
Being a member of a group of Iron Age nomads and being a prominent member of their warrior caste going out on her first missions, id posit Ursula's age at 16. She is over halfway done with her life according to the life expentancies of her time.

Skills:
As a member of the Scythian Kshatriya, Ursula has been trained in the arts of war. She is extremely skilled in the area of swordfighting and horseback archery. She also is able to survive in the wilderness by foraging and raiding others for supplies, a standard Scythian tactic. Ursula also appears to be able to read, something uncommon in her culture. Ursula also has a natural affinity for something called Sworcery, a form of magic, but one that the nomad warrior has not trained it beyond simply telepathy and telekinesis.

Personality:
As a Kshatriya, Ursula grew up with wealth, well, as much wealth as a nomad can have. As such, it has made her a bit arrogant, manifested in her use of We as her first person pronoun, and her headstong warrior attitude. Ursula also has a cultural dislike of rainbows, as Scythians associate them with Masses. This may not be true, but the Scythian would rather not take her chances. She also doesnt like Sheep. No real reason why.

World Sheet
Name: The Dream World

Summary of History:
The dream world actually has two parts. Part A is a relatively normal earth in the Iron Age. The major difference being the lack of any large settlements, which would be targeted by Masses/Heartless. Most people inhabit little cottages and farm what they need to live or live as nomads.

Part B is an Esoteric World that exists between the fabric of world A. Part B is a hazy purple clone of Part A, in a eternal night with the moon featured promenantly. The only way to reach this world is to fall asleep in Part A, but be warned. If your A body is killed, or you are killed in Part B, you die in both worlds. As such, it is only recomended to sleep in a safe location in both worlds, like ones cabin or amongst a tribal lookout. Part B is free of masses, and as such it has more sprawling metropoli and brighter lights in the forests. It is in many ways a happy alternative to the bleak real world.

Name: Rei Shibuya

Keyblade: Dark Abyss
Age: 20

Skills: More of a straight fighter than anything else, Rei often prefers the simplicity of cutting his enemies asunder with his blade. He does, however, still possess a certain amount of Darkness inside him, due perhaps to prolonged exposure to the Heartless he has devoted his life to hunting.

Personality: Rei is almost always straight and to the point, never caring much for mincing words or beating around the bush. People often interpret his bluntness as coldness when they first meet him, but he is in fact not as cold as he may seem. His life as The Hunter is a sort of double edged sword. On one hand, he is the city's only true protection against the Heartless, but on the other, he is always surrounded by them and endures prolonged exposure to the Darkness as a result. This doesn't necessarily justify his seemingly cold and apathetic behavior, but it does go a long way in explaining where it comes from at the very least.

Bio: Rei wasn't always The Hunter. After all, The Hunter has been protecting the city since the Heartless first appeared, and that was long before Rei was ever born. In truth, many people have been called The Hunter over the years, becoming the city's protector when they become chosen by The Hunter's weapon, the Keyblade. Rei's predecessor was his grandfather, who eventually became overcome by the dark forces he was battling against. A grim fate, but one shared by virtually everyone who has wielded the Keyblade as The Hunter, since battling so close to the Darkness carries with it the risk of being swallowed by it. Originally, Rei's father was supposed to inherit the Keyblade, but he adamantly refused it, not wishing to suffer the same fate. So instead the Keyblade chose a 12-year-old Rei. Both Rei and his father learned to wield a blade from Rei's grandfather since a young age, so when the Keyblade came to Rei he at least knew how to properly use it as a sword, but everything after that was a trial by fire. His grandfather taught him some things about the Heartless, but never taught Rei any of his advanced skills. Rei would have to figure those out on his own, and to this day is still trying to master some of them.

World Sheet
Name: City of Shadows
Summary of History: It is a timeline where the world seems to have developed into a single, large city spanning it's entire landmass. It also seems to be perpetually nighttime in this city, which is undoubtedly how it earned its name. Heartless stalk the dark alleyways and other dangerous hotspots, preying on their victims and multiplying as a result. However, the city has also been under the protection from a being known simply as The Hunter. For as long as the city itself has existed, The Hunter has watched over it, using his mysterious weapon, the Keyblade, to destroy the Heartless wherever he may find them.
Important Nations: WIP
Overall Technology Level: The City of Shadows is a pretty standard modern metropolis. Cars, skyscrapers, almost like something out of a Film noir.

Henry

Name: Henry "Big Hank" Sullivan
Age: 24
Gender: Male

Appearance

A towering bull of a young man standing 6'2", with broad, square shoulders and a thick torso. He's light-skinned, though its usually covered in the dust of the Wasteland (Or at least it will be til he gets a proper shower at Disney Castle), aged with stress to make him appear at least six years older than he actually is. His mop of rust-brown hair is thick and dirty, as is the impressive horseshoe mustache he's cultivated over the years.

Personality

A simple young man of strong moral character, possessing a clear sense of right and wrong and a compassionate nature, given his upbringing with the humanitarian Follows of the Apocalypse. He's pensive about his newfound position as a Keyblade wielder, and has no frigging idea what he's doing with the thing. He aims to do good with it, however, and those who he calls friend will struggle to find a better comrade than him. He does have his limits, however, and once one has crossed his moral line, or if a bad guy is giving him no other choice at the moment, their life means nothing to him.

History

There isn't too much to be said about this fellow. Born and raised in The Boneyard (formerly Los Angeles), he spent most of his life with his father, a laborer for the Followers of the Apocalypse. He joined his father in working for the Followers at an early age, being strong of the body and spirit, and enjoyed a more comfortable life than some in the Wasteland. At 22, however, he decided to strike out to make his own fortune and perhaps do some good in the world, working as a mercenary in the NCR and the surrounding regions. Now, though, he's noticed strange things. Creatures made of shadow with piercing yellow eyes attacking travelers and settlers, an a strange sword appearing seemingly out of nowhere in his hand. Now a spaceship with some funny animal-like aliens has taken him away promising answers. Its going to be a wild, wild ride...

Keyblade-Atom

Atom appears as a rather evil-looking sword, curved with a jagged blade that seems to glow a sickly green, its handle wrapped in dark cloth. The keychain appears to be little more than a cute little radiation symbol. In combat, those it strikes will suffer an infusion of radiation that poisons their bodies slowly, though it is safe to handle outside of combat.

Abilities

Offense: Big Hank's Charge: A good ol' bum rush, Henry slams shoulder-first into his enemy for a stunning strike that draws the attention of just about anyone with half a brain.
Pocket Sand: Henry reaches into his pocket for a handfull of sand to throw into the eyes of his enemy. That's...that's it. What'd you expect with that name? He does shout it like its a secret ninja technique, as an unhealthy habit he's picked up from you crazy kids.

Defense: Nothing Special at the moment.

Movement: Dodge Roll

Support: Thick Skin: Henry's tougher than most, growing up in the hellhole that was the Wasteland. As such he's gotten good at taking damage and shrugging off pain. (AKA "Tank Power")
Magic: Irradiate: A solid blast of gamma radiation, this burst of magic does a fair amount of damage and poisons the foe with rads.

Limit Breaks: The Power of Atom: Henry lets out a roar that draws the attention of several enemies near him, then discharges a huge burst of radiation comparable to a blast from a Mini Nuke. Why this radiation only seems to affect foes is beyond the poor guy's understanding.

World Sheet
Name: Apocalyptia
Summary of History: Living proof of the idea that war never changes, Apocalyptia is a ruined, irradiated hellscape where only the foolhardy and suicidal dare venture. Once a culturally stagnant world stuck in the 1950s of most Earths, its future forever changed during the conflict known as the Resource Wars. At the war's end, nuclear armaggedon befell it on October 23nd 2077, destroying most of civilization and the Human race. The survivors slowly began the march toward rebuilding, but now over 180 years after the nuclear exchange, the arrival of the Heartless and the emergence of The Enclave, it may once again face doom.

Important Nations (Great Powers, etc.): New California Republic, Enclave, Vault City, Gecko, Broken Hills.
Overall Technology Level: Advanced robotics, laser technology, limited space travel.

Name: Jupiter Lark

Appearance

Bio

Both of Jupiter's parents were killed by Heartless and died in order to keep her safe, she had only just survived the attack, this happened when she was fourteen years old. Since then she has been running from the Heartless by stowing away on ships traveling between the worlds, that is how she came to the world that she is in now. Before her parents and herself were attacked her father gave her a red gun that wasn't too much use in killing Heartless but could injure them and give her enough time to escape. Jupiter doesn't like to use this gun unless she has to as it was her father's and she doesn't want it damaged but she will use it if it is needed.

Age: 19

Skills: Jupiter is extremely intelligent and specialises in anything intellectual but isn't much for anything physical, she is especially good at hacking, decoding and stealing.

Personality: Jupiter is very timid and doesn't play well with others, this has increased since her parents' deaths. She also tends to be a little rational at times and doesn't trust anyone.

World

Name: Skotadi

Summary of History

Skotadi was the first world known to of been attacked by Heartless, it is also the furthest world away from the centre of the multiverse. Although Jupiter doesn't know this, Skotadi was also the place that her parents were born and grew up. Skotadi is the smallest world in the multiverse and the least advanced making it a perfect attack point for the Heartless, Skotadi's government is corrupt and is poverty stricken thanks to the onslaught. The water in Skotadi is black and undrinkable, drinking it causes certain death or worse.

Important Nations

Cartris (see map) is the one place in the whole of Skotadi where there are actually 'rich' people and they are the Braindirs. The Braindirs are a family of rich, nourished and cocky humans which have the best weapons, defences and resources, they also have a Keyblade. The Keyblade causes then to be attacked on a daily basis from desperate people trying to stay alive. The other important nation is Fivonia (see map) which is known to be the country of trade in Skotadi as that is where resources from within Skotadi are transported out of Skotadi but it is also where resources from other worlds are brought into Skotadi, including food, water and weapons, it also has the most amount of ports in Skotadi.

Overall Technology Level: Every where but Cartris and the ports in Marose has a very low technology level. Marose has an average technology level while Cartris has a reasonably high technology level.

Name: Ninty Bat

Appearance:

Standing at 6ft7 Ninty enjoys curly red hair, well kept skin with cheeks slightly too red without makeup, and stunning blue eyes. Although her nose never quite healed right from that fight with a 'Meat Stealer' and it's not likely that one can regrow teeth.
A big fan of dresses and skirts she loves her show-time dress; a cream colour short dress with wavy beads at the bottom, thin brown fingerless gloves and course her necklace and bracelet are mostly preal pearls.

Kayblade

Bio: The little Elf grew up in Brazen, a fairly young city having been establish almost two millennia ago (average Elf life span approx. 90 years) she was exposed to the many different cultures that filtered through the city from its ports. This brought many different spices, languages, fabrics and Ninty’s favourite; music.

When not at school or hiding from the House Maid for sneaking another rat into the house Ninty would be found down at the docks singing and dancing with the many immigrants who had fled to the county (their own being torn up by the wars that raged ironically because of the Government of the very country they were now fleeing to). Of course she also learnt how to fight as well against not only the other kids but the ever horrifying 'Meat Stealers' who would take children to who knew where to do who knew what to them. Now this was of course a very un-fitting thing for a child and heir of the very best Cigar company in the country.

But of course even with her parent resolutely forbidding her to go down to the Docks Ninty would do so anyway until one day her parents simply decided that she wouldn’t be the heir, nine months later Ninty’s younger Brother Bronwin was born. Surprisingly this worked out brilliant for everyone involved, apart from the Maid who soon had to become accustom to ‘Those immigrating scoundrels’ and Ninty (‘That Ruffian’) practicing in the kitchen.

Fast Forward 20 years and Ninty and her Band now perform regularly, mostly for their next meal and warm bed, in pubs, inns and hotels around the country. Plus Bronwin is nearly old enough to inherit the company, with some revolutionary ideas that he has yet to inform his parents about. The Maid sadly passed away due to a stress related illness.

It was supposed to be their big break, their very best performance at the Balton Arms. They’d even managed to get some agent from one of the record labels to watch them and possibly sign them on. The scene was set, the lime light setting stars in their eyes and their future grew brighter as they sang.

And then someone started screaming and soon enough Ninty found herself tearing down the high street, high heels left somewhere behind, and darkness pulling apart the buildings beside her.

Age: 49

Skills: Singing and playing the guitar are Nintys marketable skills which have often come in handy to get her a bed and some food. Other than that she can cook, barter and punch her way through most problems though for something more complex maybe ask someone else. But despite this she does have impressive business sense and an understanding of how to get what she wants for the cheapest price.

Personality: Loud and brash, if Ninty doesn’t like something you are bound to know about it, more likely sooner than later, and if you even dare to forbid her from doing something it will only make her more likely to do that thing out of sheer spite if anything. Of course she’s not so stubborn as to ignore things that her fault, but she may need reminding with a good punch to the face.

World Sheet

Name: Asprey

Summary of History: A small world once ruled by Gods whose magic energies would constantly tear up the earth they ruled and force the many sentient creatures to change shape, which in term created hundreds of races.

But as time went on these race grew irksome of the oppressive power of the Gods and after many years were finally able to forge weapons to destroy them; a Quill to bind the mind, a Torch to burn the soul and a Dagger to destroy the flesh. Now while many of the Gods fled the world in fear many of others stayed only to be destroyed by the weapons until only one remained which ore itself into several smaller less powerful gods to escape death.

With the Gods gone almost all the sentient races died out leaving only what we would define as the classic fantasy races to rule the planet. The Several gods then became the most powerful beings on the planet rulling over The Past, The Future, War, Peace, Life and Death. Excess magic energy also gave birth to less powerful beings known as Dieties who represented Art, Drudgery, Freedom, Tyranny, Aspiration and Dellusion. Together the Gods and Deities kept balance over the world but their power was fuelled by the belief of the inhabitants in them which was in turn powered by the magical energy the Gods and Deities had.

The a plague swept over the world decimating the population and while each of the races receded in fear to their respective strong holds but sadly it was too late. The great Dwarven Mines became tombs, the cities of Man became crumbling monuments, the Halfling towns became those of the dead and the forests of Elves turned white covered in bones. Only a few of the Elvish cities were able to last, holding themselves in for almost a generation before deciding it to be safe enough to explore the outside world and claim it as their own.

Sadly the damage had been done. The population had fallen so fast and the Gods, seeing the mortals simply as interesting play things, had been forced into a deep sleep with so little power. Last to sleep had been the Lady of the Past and with her the last traces of magic vanished from the world.

With magic rapidly growing weaker and many of the magical charms in place the Elves and few remaining Humans had to quickly adapt and technology flourished and within 10 millennia the world had become what it is now.

Name: Mackenzie Little
Nickname: Mach (the name is in reference to both his love of going fast and his name being shortened)

Skills: Before the accident, Mach was an accomplished triathlete described by his teammates as "a human blur on the race course". An exaggeration, of course, but he earned his nickname for a reason after all. His lesser known talent was in the field of robotics, his participation in triathlons was primarily to get him into San Fransokyo Institute of Technology via scholarship. Since the accident, however, Mach started putting all of his focus into robotics, even able to outfit his wheelchair with some... unique customizations. Given enough time and resources, Mach can invent just about any handy little gadget for any circumstance. While in his "suit", Mach is able run, leap, and move as if he were an athlete again, only with advanced prosthetic legs designed to increase his legs' physical ability ten fold thanks to a combination of thrusters and shock absorbers. What Mach has absolutely no talent or skill for, however, is magic. In fact he barely even believes in magic, instead boasting that his tech can do anything a spell can do, only better.

Personality: Before the accident, Mach had several friends, either from the triathlons or the laboratories. Ever since getting put on the wheelchair, though, he's been having less and less to do with his former friends, becoming increasingly absorbed into his own personal projects instead. One thing between then and now that hasn't changed is Mach's absolutely snarky attitude. Imagine having a constant commentary of Mystery Science Theater 3000, and that's pretty much Mach's personality in a nutshell.

Bio: Starting out, Mach had promise, both as an athlete and a robotics expert. He was entering triathlons, even managing to score a scholarship for San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. It was practically like living a dream, so of course something had to happen to wake Mach up from it. When he was 16, and got his first car, Mach became involved in a car accident. It was nothing overly dramatic or sinister, just a standard hit and run by a drunk driver. Mach's car, however, was ran off the road, kind of a bad thing since he was driving on an overpass at the time. The simple fact that he even survived at all was a miracle, but his legs on the other hand? Well, they were essentially crushed, along with whatever hope he had of ever participating in the triathlon ever again. After the accident, Mach started focusing all of his energy into robotics, his second passion. He started becoming more and more absorbed with his personal projects and essentially cut himself off from his former friends.

One day Mach had an idea. What if robotics could be applied to medical practice? He'd heard the story of Tadashi Hamada inventing a robot capable of giving first aid, but what if more could be done? What if robotics technology could be applied to a prosthetic? He began working, more obsessively than ever, on trying to realize that idea. It was no secret that he wanted his legs back, and after many hours and sleepless nights, Mach invented his first set of legs. Well, considering it was the first physical test, it didn't exactly go perfectly, but Mach refused to give up. After several more weeks, he finally got a robotic prosthetic working, but quickly realized that with robotic tech, the prosthetic could not only give him his legs back, but could make him faster and better than he ever was before. Remembering the news story about the six young heroes who saved the city, Mach decided to take a page from their book and suited up. Obviously he would never be able to publicly use his new prosthetic, since the best way not to be identified as the new hero was to remain in the wheelchair when not doing hero stuff.

World Sheet
Name: San Fransokyo
Summary of History: It is, for the most part, exactly like the original world. Well, except for being a bit ahead in the technology level. The only big difference is that, in the aftermath of the Earthquake of 1908, Japanese immigrants were integral in the rebuilding of San Francisco. As a result of this, the city took on a plethora of Japanese architectural styles and ended up becoming a center of a vast amount of varying cultures, both Eastern and Western. It also became a center for technology as well, most notably the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology and Krei Tech, though the latter has been in decline for a while now since the portal incident.
Important Nations: San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Krei Tech, Akuma Island
Overall Technology Level: Being a technological center, San Fransokyo's technology level is quite high.

[Amaya Tamashii]

Name: Amaya Yashai
Appearance:
Bio: Amaya wasn't the normal' had a average life, normal parents etc., etc., etc.'. Nope she had a strict upbringing being one of the two princess of Japan. She had to be who her country needed her to be.

Amaya was born into royalty, nearly causing her mother's death during childbirth. Amaya always was different in almost every way compared to her sister. She was born with white hair and ice blue eyes in comparison to her family's midnight black hair and equally black eyes. Even at a young age she got sick more often then the rest her family. To make up for this she tried to do all she was told. Sit this way, walk this way. She couldn't live up in that standard like her sister but there was one person that allowed her to be herself and accepted her no matter how much trouble she caused trying to be like her sister. That person was her mother, until she was about five years old when her mother passed. It took a toll on her deep inside and caused her to be more shy then ever and one to just be alone and quiet. She started to get to better at being a princess and her duties as one though servants gave her the nickname of 'The Silent Princess', due to how she could move about the castle without making a sound, which helped when she sneak into her mother's secret study.

She often could be found reading a book but the books she really read in secret were the various spell books she found in a cabinet with her name on the door. This opened up a whole new world she never knew of and gave her insight to a side she never saw.

One day, she did her usual sneaking out of the castle to explore the city and world outside the walls that surrended her home. She ran into a boy about a year older then her injured from a fight. She debated if she should help or not, she choose to help and managed to heal the boy before she heard a patrol of guards scouting the area. She put her hood back on and snuck back in before anyone knew she was gone.

Soon after her father noticed her access to magic as her magic soon became active like sometimes when she entered the room the temperature drops but comes back up when she leaves even in the summer. He has even found ice appearing in rooms she would be in for long times. He connected her ability of magic to the sudden appearance of moogle's and things they brought. To keep the secret hidden he had a temple like dojo where amaya could use her magic whenever in private, this made it easier to sneak it which she did.

However she did get captured by some of her kingdoms enemies but was rescued by the very boy that she saved. She told them who she was and got brought home safely where she talked her father into letting her have a personal bodyguard that would be with her consistently to make sure she was safe. Later that month her father gave in and called in the ones that saved her asking her if one of them she want as a guard she choose Joshua and hasn't regretted since.

Personality: amaya is a very quite girl. It is hard for her to really speak her mind because of the way she was raised. She is more of the "willing to give up her freedom and take any beating if it is to save innocent lives from feeling pain. She is loyal to those who are friends or those who is allowed to be her friend that is. When someone manages to get through her shell she is actually really kind and caring about all life, not a bad bone in her body.
When it comes to her bodyguard Joshua she will say he is the only friend that wanted to be her friend and not being forced or paided to. She cares a lot about Joshua and worries about losing him to his own darkness. He is more or less her whole world and she cares deeply for him but she is too shy to tell him in fear that he doesn't like her in return and that she would lose her best friend.

[Joshua Tamashii]

Name: Joshua Tamashii
Appearance:



Bio: Joshua was born to in the world of Napoleonic Glory to a family of mercenaries living in Japan. As a result of his family's profession, Joshua received extensive training in both martial arts and gunplay from a very young age. By the time he was six years old, he could hold his own in a fight with multiple opponents, even if they were bigger and stronger then him. By the age of seven, he could use a number of pistols and small firearms with great proficiency.

Young, brash, and overconfident in his skills, Joshua was one to pick fights with other over the slightest thing. As a result, he made a lot of enemies, despite the warnings his family and associates within the mercenary band gave him. He came to regret however, when ever person he had picked and been in a fight with all ganged up on him one day. Though he was able to put up a decent fight, Joshua ultimately lost to the sheer numbers and the few who were smart enough to bring weapons of some kind. Battered and bruised, Joshua would've likely spent the rest of the day where he lay had a helping hand not come along in the forms of a girl with white hair, which was a rarity in Japan to say the least. Using some magic, something he had heard was becoming commonplace in the world recently, she managed to patch him right up before leaving without a word.

After that, Joshua began practicing restraint, trying to hold his temper and eagerness to fight in check. He had to constantly remind himself of what happened and when he did, he would wonder about the girl that had saved him. Suspecting she was just a random passerby and that he would never see her again, Joshua tried to push her out of his mind. He almost succeeded finally, until he saw her again. This time around, she was the one in trouble, as it looked like she was being taken somewhere against her will. Following her and her captors, Joshua managed to find out where they were taking her. Quickly getting home, he managed to convince his older siblings, twins Toshiro and Sakura, to help out. With their help, with them taking the lead and doing most of the work, Joshua and his sibling managed to rescue the girl.

To Joshua's surprise, the girl they rescued turned out to be Amaya Yashai, one of the countries two princesses. Apparently, she had a habit of sneaking out to walk around town to get out of her home. Escorting the princess back, the Tamashii siblings headed back home without thinking anything would come out of it. To their surprise, the royal family contacted the mercenary group the next day, requesting that one of their members become Amaya's bodyguard so that such an incident didn't occur again. Giving Amaya some say in the decision, Joshua was ultimately selected to become her bodyguard.

From that point on, his training intensified and so did his studies and education. By the time he was sixteen, he had passed high school and was almost a weapon, as skilled with his fists as he was a gun or a blade. He had also managed to protect Amaya from several kidnapping and assassination attempts. He traveled with hre outside the castle and kept an eye on her, getting to know the princess' true personality.

When Japan went to war with French controlled Indo-China, Joshua was the only one of his merc group to remain behind due to his duties to Amaya. During this time, while he was out around town with Amaya, Joshua was beset on by Heartless. No practitioner of magic at the time, Joshua found everything he used against the creature's useless, Joshua almost fell to them. However, at the sight of them attacking Amaya and hurting her, something awoke within him. What it was, he did not know but he managed to defeat the creature's with a weapon that popped into his hand and dark magical powers he used on pure instinct.

Over the next year, Joshua would train himself in the use of his weapon, though he neglected the dark powers due to something feeling off about them to him. The war continued on elsewhere and one day, Joshua received the worse news he ever could: his parents had been killed in battle by soldiers and his siblings had been taken by the same creatures that had attacked him and Amaya. Overcome by anger and grief, Joshua lost himself to his inner Darkness. During this time, he became a powerful heartless and destroyed the palace and attacked everyone insight. Had Amaya not summoned a weapon of her own and managed to hold him off until he came to his senses, chances are the damage would've been a lot worse.

As a result of this, Joshua spent a year in exile, training and focusing on controlling the Darkness inside of him. When he came back, he was calmer the he had ever been, in control of his powers, and wielding two keyblades, one of them being his brother's (more on that later).

Since then, he has loyally protected Amaya from all threats, human and Heartless.

Personality: Cool, calm and collect, though still a little short tempered at times, it would be hard to mistake Joshua for the brash youth he once was. He is still eager to pick fights, but he keeps his calm and only picks those he thinks he can win while protecting Amaya. On the occasions he has no choice in the matter, he prefers to end fights quickly, using his abilities to the fullest to take out enemies quickly.

Concerning Amaya, his feelings for her go beyond those of bodyguard and protectee. He is willing to go beyond what his job requires to protect her and keep her safe. The shortest way to get Joshua's anger to flare is to harm Amaya, though doing so comes at great risk for the poor fool that did so. He is the first one to go to her and the last one to leave when she is in need of help and is very reluctant to leave her side regardless of the situation.
