Years ago, a young man had a dream that people with superpowers would all have a place to support one another. Mason Mitchell adopted the identity of Nightstar and was an up and comer in the superhero community, protecting Century City. Rather than go to college, Mitchell used money he'd been saving to purchase the Timmy's Toy World and Museum T Tower and started the Teen Titans. Over the next few years the roster of heroes changed constantly. Nightstar lived for this superhero life, protecting the innocent from threats normal authorities can't contain, helping new superhumans with controlling their powers, and being an inspiration to thousands. Until one day an old friend returned from the dead. After an alien came planet side and returned the first fallen Titan [Push] back to life, the team dealt with the kinetic nightmare that ensued. The T Tower was destroyed, more Titans fell in battle with the undead former ally, and Nightstar was rocked. Bad enough his friends and teammates were hurt and/or killed, but the mayor of Century City is blaming the property damage in the city on Nightstar and his unappointed protectors rather than the real enemy: the alien. Little did Mason know the Mayor simply wanted attention off of his new alien girlfriend who's photo was recently in the tabloids. The politics didn't matter to the hero and leader of the fallen Titans. Rather than use what money he'd earned through investments to rebuild the T Tower yet again, the now 23 year old hero put the time and resources into building himself a new ship to pilot. Nightstar could barely believe he hadn't already done the sort of thing before. With the remaining members of the Titans joining him, as well as an alien ally or two he'll likely pick up in the stars, Nightstar became something more over the last few weeks away from Earth with his powers growing and attitude changing. Nevertheless he as well as his brothers and sisters in arms are Titans.
This game is loosely tied to the original universe Teen Titan games @Metronome and myself began before Guildfall several years ago. Generally I stick with what histories were developed in the original game by Met and the first sequel by me anytime I go at trying to reboot this. This time however it's got a little more Guardians of the Galaxy / Star Wars / Firefly flavor rather than standard teen superhero melodrama. If anybody from the old crew returns, bringing back an old character would be ideal. They'd be older, wiser, a bit shaken from the attack that happened about a month prior to the beginning of the game. With Guildfall making it impossible to go back and use those games for reference I just gotta go by memory. But that's not to say you can't make a new hero and just say they've had history with the Titans more recently....
Currently I'm looking over starship designs for something for Nightstar to pilot. I'm not looking for a huge cast, just an additional 5 or so players other than myself. Interested parties can post WIP character sheets here, and I'll note any that are accepted if completed fully. Some of you will be aliens, some of us will be humans, it should make for some great interactions and role playing.
As for the reason we're in space, here's the alien we're after. He's of the standard grey skinny variety and will be revealed to have been the alien from Area 51. Responsible for humans getting powers back as early as the 40's, this particular alien came to Earth after losing the red nova rock core from his starship's engine several years earlier [this is the 'red meteor' that gave Nightstar his powers]. The alien returned years later to see the rock itself had burned out, and after being found by the Titans and local authorities the alien returned the dead Titan to life short term to distract the humans while the alien got off world. His warp drives are down but he's left an energy trail the Titans are following. Picking up a job here and there along the way, we're gonna catch up to the alien eventually and get answers. The truth about superhumans since the 40's and Nightstar's origin will turn the game on it's head if we make it that far. Not only is the alien responsible for the origin of Nightstar but most superhumans since the 40's. Could you be a superhuman who's DNA was altered by the alien first hand through an abduction? Possibly inherited some alien DNA from grandpa?
I'm looking for 2-3 heroes from Earth who were members of the Titans or simply allies of Nightstar not affiliated with his team. Same goes for aliens, 2-3 with any of the various archetypes in mind. I'd love to see something like a Chewbacca or Groot on the team.
Character Sheets MUST include, but are not limited to:
Name -
Alias -
Age -
Experience - How long were you a Titan if you were from Earth?
Human or Alien - If alien specify!
Powers -
Weaknesses -
Appearance -
BRIEF Bio-
Notes -
Commitment - Need at least one post per week, with six players total that means as a group somebody has to post daily. Just let me know here how active you are and that one post per week is doable.
So, who wants to go Han Solo on some aliens? Tried this in Advance but nobody was biting, but I have more peeps in Casual anyway...
