If I get out of this thing looking 25 years older I'll...probably do nothing...suppose if I'm wrinkly I'll be less likely to be eaten...who in there right mind would go for tough old meat first
This kind of thought process was fairly common when it came to Nizhoni Tecumseh, if she wasn't musing about pointless things such as this, she was brainstorming ideas or thinking up new tool designs. As her hyper-sleep wore off, Niz immediately started to fidget, wriggling anything that was awake enough to move. Once she'd managed to shake off the effects of the drugs in her system, she pushed the door to her chamber open and practically bounced out into the open part of the ship. Throwing her arms up in a huge stretch the energetic shapeshifter placed her hands on her face to feel for any wrinkles.
"Hmm...none to speak of" she murmured to herself unsure whether she was disappointed by this fact or not.
After coming to the conclusion she hadn't aged at all during the long travel, Niz had a quick look around her to see if there was anyone close by. Considering everyone seemed to currently be outside apart from Hui-fang who was awake but still in her pod. The shapeshifter made the decision to head straight for the section of the ship that had held the animals. She was eager to be reunited with Shilah and wanted to check up on Hashké to make sure they'd had a safe journey. With a bounce to her step the young shapeshifter was rather surprised to see that most of the animals were already up and moving about outside of the ship. Moving carefully through the ones still inside, she approached a nervous looking mare and offered her hand for it to sniff before reaching up with her other and begun to trace calming circles across her skin just above her shoulders and up her neck.
"Hey...nothing to be afraid of" she murmured to the mare in a soft tone, knowing the horse wouldn't understand but that her calming tone wouldn't go to waste.
Of course no sooner had the mare begun to relax, one of the males outside raised his voice and started yelling at someone, instantly putting the mare back on edge.
"...or not" Niz sighed, lowering her hand and moving away from the mare she made her way through a throng of dairy cows and came to stand in the entrance of the animals section of the ship , looking over at the small group of werewolves to see what all the fuss was about.
"Tetchy as they are, you got to admire them, right?" She stated, looking down at her feet as a small chibit wrapped itself around her ankle trying to purr and chatter at the same time as it rubbed itself against her shins.
"Hey you, how was your trip?" She grinned down at Shilah, reaching down to scratch him behind the ears as he chattered excitedly in response to her question.
When the greeting was over the creamy brown chibit climbed its way up onto her shoulders and wrapped itself around the back of her neck, clearly content to remain there and purr in her ear as she wandered outside in search of Hashké. Niz felt truly at ease on this new planet, though she was aware it was dangerous and unknown and despite the inevitability of a Lycan fight, she felt fairly safe where she was...well she did until the large creature came crashing out of the trees. Shilah's fur puffed out in alarm and with a squawk he turned tail and leapt off of Niz's shoulders, running for the safety of the ship with a large chunk of the other animals.
"Whoa...what did your mother feed you when you were younger" Niz murmured to herself, feeling her jaw drop open as the large creature turned towards them and begun eyeing them up.
"Ah...that was not the answer I was looking for" the shapeshifter automatically reached for her belt hoping to find her tomahawks there...unfortunately she'd left them back in her locker.
...plan B it is Just as Fer raced towards the large mammal, Niz swiftly shifted into her panther form, splaying her legs apart and lifting her head, she flattened her ears against her skull and roared at the creature to try and get its attention as it lunged at the warlock. She thought he was rather lucky to avoid injury as he slid underneath it and slashed the tendons on the back of its legs before moving aside to let Hadrian take a shot at it...she also felt herself wondering why they hadn't tried to simply scare it off rather than killing it, what effect could that have on their surroundings? Would more come after it?
25 years is a long time...was I too hasty in my decision?
That thought dragged through Hui-fang's mind over and over as she slowly regained an awareness of her surroundings. She had taken a little longer than the others to stir from her hyper sleep, though she had seen a few of them already exit the ship she hadn't made a move to follow them. She stayed in her chamber stewing over her predicament, when she had been asked to go on the trip she had been desperate to escape from her responsibilities. Her father had been against the idea but he'd foolishly thought Hui-fang would have rejected the offer and had put it to the back of his mind whilst he fawned over her mother and the precious baby boy she carried.
Foolish father Hui-fang thought to herself as she rolled her shoulders and reached out to push the door to her chamber open. Once she was outside she took a few deep breaths of fresh air before stretching out her muscles trying to wake them up and at the same time she tested the flexibility of her new clothing. She was impressed by what the pixies had given to them, not as flexible as she was used to but it wasn't far off. Her sensitive hearing picked up on the others moving around outside, whilst they tended to the livestock she made for her locker eager to be reunited with her equipment. Pulling out two few darts from their pouch, she tucked the blunt between her lips before reaching up and running her fingers through her hair.
As the Irish werewolf started shouting threats, Hui-fang was securing the last dart in place, though she didn't have a mirror to check herself in she'd used the metal objects in this manner plenty of times.
I wonder who he's starting on...? Securing the dart pouch around her waist so they say on her lower back next to her three willow-leafed blades, the werewolf left her Taiji sword and Katana in the safety of her locker. Just as she closed the door a rather large crow flapped its way into the interior of the ship, pulling her lip back to show her elongated fangs the werewolf ducked out of its way, raising an eyebrow at it as it turned into a man, Hadrian.
"What are you-" As the bow unfolded Hui-fang turned away from the shapeshifter and shot out of the ship, her eyes took a few moments to adjust to the light. But as they did she saw Fer running towards the best with his duel katana's at the ready, the slide and execution was impressive, with its tendons sliced the creature would probably have difficulty moving...but that didn't necessarily mean it was down for the count. She'd heard Nizhoni roar in an attempt to draw the creatures attention, though she wasn't entirely sure what the shapeshifter hoped to accomplish...either way she found herself distracted by Fer who had yet to move away from the unknown creature
"Don't just stand there" The werewolf grumbled to herself before ducking down a little so as to keep out of Hadrian's way, she quickly moved between the few herd animals that hadn't already run for the shelter and was almost ploughed down by a banos as it suddenly decided it was time to retreat. Without missing a beat Hui-fang coiled her legs beneath her and propelled herself over its head landing lightly on its back for a few seconds before she pulled a forward flip and landed a few metres away from Niall.
"That is...huge" She stated, watching the unknown beast carefully, her entire body was tense and clearly ready to strike should something go amiss. She was cursing herself for not picking up her other weapons or taking the time out to lace her daggers with poison.
