Oh, I see! I guess big brother has several years on me, then. I suppose it makes sense - Mother and Father had to have another child so they could have a chance at a daughter who would suffer at their hands and inherit the fortunate. =p

I guess Vivian was ineligible for the inheritance because she is not a blood relative to the family.
