Starfire
This is a character-focused roleplay set in the year 3197. War has broken out in the Xenovia Solar System, and there's only one group that could possibly put a stop to it. Unfortunately they seem to be having engine problems, so until then you and your companions are going to try and make as much money as possible while you can. You work for Starfire Company, a private military contractor that does the dirty jobs no one else wants to do. Whose side are you on? Take your pick: The tyrannical empire whose only concern is how many credits they have in their treasury, the terrorist group that isn't afraid to slaughter every innocent in their way if only to receive their so-called "freedom," or maybe one of the many crime syndicates that have been running wild since they're no longer the government's main concern. No one really cares if you worked for the other side just the day before when the fighting gets this bloody. Have fun.

Rules
1. Basic RP rules are in effect, so follow them.
2. This isn't a free RP it's a casual RP, so at least one paragraph per IC post and please try to use proper grammar and spelling.
3. I don't want to see anyone fighting in the OOC. Period.
4. If you plan to be gone for a few days, let us know. It's no fun for anyone if you come back to find your character dead because we thought you quit without telling.
5. If anyone wants to co-GM, just ask.
6. If I've forgotten a rule that you think should be stated, than just politely say so.
7. Most importantly: have fun. You break this rule, than I sentence you to be hung by the neck until you cheer up.
Starfire Company: The most well known private military contractors in the galaxy. They began on Mars when public use of faster than light travel was still in its infancy, mostly protecting cargo ships from pirates. No job is too dirty for these guys and they don't try to hide it. If you've got the credits, they've got the manpower. Both sides of the Xenovian Civil War hire Starfire Company.
Soldiers, Vehicles, Dropships, Cruisers, Fighters.
Raptor Squad: One of the many squads of Starfire Company, this is where your character comes in. Raptor Squad has had more roster changes than any other squad in Starfire's history, usually because most members are killed in combat. Their base of operations is The Alamo.
The Xenovia System: Two decades ago, this solar system was discovered by the Xenovia family, owners of the extremely successful Xenovia Mining Company or XMC for short. This system is very rich in Oppenheimium, a rare metal necessary in construction of FTL drives, which is why XMC monopolized the entire system and claimed independence from all other systems.
The Xenovian Empire: Currently ruled by Emperor Cordell Xenovia, the head of the Xenovia family and mining company. The Empire rules from the planet of Corva and most citizens of the Empire are workers for XMC. Taxes have been gradually increasing as more and more systems have been discovered with Oppenheimium, making the rare metal worth less and less and decreasing the Xenovia family's profits.
Soldiers, Vehicles, Dropships, Cruisers, Fighters.
The Xenovian Revolutionary Front: Led by Chantal Verine and officially labeled by the Xenovian Empire as a terrorist organization, the XRF is known for its brutal treatment against the higher class. Use of guerrilla warfare in the group's early days gained many victories for the Front, making recruitment skyrocket. Now, the XRF is on even footing with the Empire making full on battles more common then previously used tactics.
Soldiers and Vehicles, Dropships, Cruisers, Fighters.
The Yamikov-Fujikawa Shipping Company: The largest shipping company in the galaxy. They transport anything for anyone, whether it be trailer-fulls of Oppenheimium ore from the XMC or a single new gun for a lone merc.
Transport Ship.
The Mota Clan: Led by Oyabun Hida Mota, the Mota Clan is the most powerful crime syndicate in Xenovia. They only recruit those of Japanese descent and follow all rules and customs of the Japanese Yakuza.
The Nova Bratva: Led by Pakhan Xena Nova, they've been slowly gaining power in the Xenovia System and have become possible threats to the Mota Clan. They only recruit those of Russian descent and follow all rules and customs of the Russian Mafia.
The Illyrian Empire: Ruled by Archon Draksys Kade, The Empire controls the Toutasis system and rules from the capitol-planet of Altaaya. The Empire has placed their fleets on standby in the face of the civil war in the nearby Xenovia system, there has even been some debate among the hierarchy as to whether they should intervene.
Legionnaires, vehicles, Dropships, Cruisers, Fighters, Fleet Capitol-ship Dreadnought "Doom Mythical"

Humans - In the year 3005, faster than light travel was discovered by Dr. Jack Schottky with the help of a newly found element: Oppenheimium. For the next several years, faster than light travel was only used by organizations like NASA and RFSA. Then, in the year 3112, NASA found an extremely large quantity of Oppenheimium, allowing the extremely rich to buy faster than light drives of their own and no longer restricting it to government use only. As more and more people traveled the galaxy with their new, beyond-lightning fast ships, even more of the rare metal was found, making the price lower significantly as quantity increased until buying a ship with faster than light capabilities became no more expensive than buying a new car. Colonization of other planets had already been started by governments when FTL drives were first invented, but now that the average family could buy their own ship, it wasn't long before Humanity spread throughout the stars, making it the most common species in all of the Milky Way.
Andalites - Andalites originate from the Andal system, which occupies its own region of spaces roughly 27 Lightyears from the Xenovia system. They are an independent galactic power who, according to their law, refuse to get involved in the affairs of other species. They are a very social species and, while technologically advanced, live relatively simple lives on their grassy plainslike homeworld. They are generally quite arrogant and look down on other species they see as culturally primitive or backward. They hold to a strict honor code in their daily lives almost like a religion, with daily rituals to remind them of their duty to themselves, their families, and their culture. Breaking any honor code may elicit harsh punishment such as ostracization, banishment, or even death.
Their physiology is comparable to a centaur, standing between 5'2" and 6'3" with a humanoid upper torso and lower body that resembles a small deer. The males are covered in blue and tan fur, while females are more purple (color deviations are seen as defects). They have a natural weapon in the form of their tail, which is mounted with a deadly scythe-like blade. They have two ears, two eyes, and two additional eyes mounted on flexible stalks atop their head allowing them to see in all directions at once. Slitted nose and no mouth, they communicate telepathically via <Thought speech> (but are not psychic).

Illyrian - The Illyrians are a bipedal reptilian race sometimes referred to as "lizard-men". they tend to grow to be 7-9 feet tall, they have long prehensile tails and scaled skin reminiscent of Terran lizards, hence the nickname, as well as clawed feet and hands and reptilian snouts. They tend to live 225-250 year lifespans, are very agile, and, Despite their reptilian nature, their offspring are born live. The Illyrians are exceptional engineers though, While they possessed advanced technology, it was not until after they were discovered by humans that they gained FTL capabilities. Roughly 4 decades ago Humans attempted to conquer the Illyrian homeworld, assuming them to be a tribal and weak species, the Humans were surprised by the level of technology and military power the Illyrians possessed and The Illyrian-Human first contact war ended with an Illyrian victory and the humans were pushed off the planet. After reverse engineering and improving upon captured Human FTL drives they were able to expand and establish a system-wide Empire.
Tucked quietly away in the lifeless Quintus System drifts the gaseous planet of Galvatrius Major and its moon: Galvatrius Minor. The larger of the two, Galvatrius Major is cesspool of energized gasses as it releases and absorbs the nebulae around itself. No organic matter can withstand the constant tides of electrical energies surging through the atmosphere of the planet, of which such powerful storms can be observed breaking the planet’s surface. Oftentimes stray bolts of high-energy particles are released and find their way across the system resulting in the utter annihilation of all other viable planets which have accumulated the attractive opposite charge within the sector, which explains the lifeless state of Quintus. Interplanetary travel through the sector requires energy shielding and charge repulsion to avoid attracting a loose electrical flare. Ship instruments passing by the planet must also face the considerable electromagnetic force which may cause power fluxes and be dampen appropriately. Thus the Quintus sector is generally avoided for such reasons.
However it is the same volatile nature of Galvatrius Major which had created sentience upon its moon. For eons, the storms raged on and with each exhale of super-charged gaseous nebula some plasmic gases managed to be caught within the gravitational pull of Galvatrius Minor. Despite sharing the same base electrical charge as the planet, which keeps the smaller satellite from being destroyed like others in the system, Galvatrius Minor is locked in the gravitational pull of its larger neighbor and the electrical repulsion just barely keeps the pair from colliding into each other. Only a few hundred thousand kilometers are between the two titans, but that is enough of a distance for the nebula clouds to form around the moon and create a pseudo-atmosphere. Eventually the accumulated nebula began to discharge into isolate spots on the moon which attracted the energy. And from these strikes of cosmic lightening: the Valis were born.
The Valis or “Stormwraiths” are a cosmic mystery in the form of a mote of sentient electrical energy. Though they lack true definite physical forms, they possess an inner core of energy from which they extend themselves. They are not quite necessarily alive in the sense of organic creatures, though should one expend all the energy they were born with from its core, it will cease to exist. They can sustain themselves by feeding on electrical energy to prolong their pseudo-lifespan of which generally last for a human millennia or a million Galvatrian Cycles without supplementation. While they retain a “Charge Trace” which splits the species into either blue or purple energy as an analogous property “gender”, the race is unable to procreate as two Valis of opposite traces would eventually destroy each other as their cores exchange energy and explode. Thus they have turned to the manufacture of new generations of Valis. The Valis can collect nebula and coax the storms to strike the moon on which they live on in an attempt to create new Valis, however there is no certainty any would be produced or those produced would survive longer than a few decades without supplemental electrical energy.
Despite their inability to spawn using artificial means, their technological advances tend to surpass those of other races due to their quiet existence in needing nothing such as food, water or rest to sustain themselves. They were able to construct vast cities which moved through the moon. Although they did get a jumpstart from the wreckage of past galactic races, which were caught off-guard by Galvatrius Major and the Valis were able to use the ancient technological treasures. The Valis have the innate ability to “Possess,” as the humans call it, electronics. From the most basic of holodisplays to the most advanced starship systems, the Valis are able to enter their energy-bodies into them and quickly learn how to control them. This was especially useful for robots as this allowed them to gain physical forms to change their lunar home and create more advanced “hosts.” Upon a first contact with humans, the Valis were thought to be advanced robots until they encountered the Valis outside of their Hosts.
After which, the Valis created Projection Sphere, technology which allowed the Valis to house their cores within an encasement which produced an electromagnetic field and as the name suggests, allow the Valis project their electrical energy into human-like forms. The Valis have also introduced the concept of energy dual-phase shielding to make travel slightly safer in the Quintus sector, as well as advance electromagnetism technology. Although some racial tension does exist on the grounds of humans abducting Valis to harvest their energy cores, the Valis have so far been on good standing terms with the rest of the intergalactic community. Perhaps it is because they had thought no other life exists outside of their sector, or maybe because they still believe in a cosmic peace which can be established.
Galorians
Galorians are a savage race of psychotic, warmongering cannibals... at least that's the general stereotype. Warmongers definitely, cannibals absolutely, but psychopaths? Incorrect. Galorians are self destructive survivors, so obsessed by war and battle that they killed every other creature on Galor. The cannibalism was a necessity for, as carnivores, when the only meat around is Galorian then Galorian you shall eat. Consequently this has given them a bad rep as savage and backwards when all you are seeing is the crust. Galorians are some of the best warriors you will find in the galaxy. They are strong, fast, and heal from wounds that will fell normal creatures instantly. In addition they have waged constant war against each other for thousands of years, becoming quite adept at it in the process. They also follow a strict code of conduct that promotes respect, allies and enemy alike, keeping in mind that we all lose to something in the end.
Their war mindedness keeps them from being great scientists as, if it can't be used to kill others then why bother? The same goes for conventional art. Instead they have refined their weapons down to perfection and the greatest art is in the kill, holding onto life before giving your power to something stronger, more worthy of it than you were. They see no shame in death for their soul will always live on in the strongest.

Yasumichi are know to be intelligent and agile. Lacking muscle that some of the stronger races have, they rely on speed and cunning to get them through tough fights. Long ago, when technology became known from outside sources, their race split into what are now known as Enogi and Tao'Ve. Even after the split they still have close relations with each other despite the major differences between them.
- Enogil: Enogil are the more advanced of the Yasumichi. They mainly live in cities on whatever planet they live on, and tend to work in tech-based fields. The research on Oinari focuses mostly on defense with the company Genko Industry, located on Oinari, making their name known as one of the best.
-Tao'Ve: Tao'Ve are the more primitive Yasumichi. They live outside the few major cities on Oinari. They have a close connection to nature and tend to be the more religious. Their strength comes from living out in the dangerous wild where, if you are not careful, one of the many fearsome beasts can get you.
