@KoL@TheWindelWelp, there's your bone for the night. Now for something I've been meaning to say for awhile.
Lately, since December, I've been actively avoiding this group in my subs because it's become a breeding ground for conflict. With Lucius gone, some of that will be cleared up, though there's still animosity here. At this point, I know a lot of it's directed at me because I'm trying to stir shit in the IC by picking fights I can't win. Why? Well the good samaritan in me wants to say it's been to establish the power threshold of some GM characters and some that deserve a victory. The realist knows that's bullshit, I'm trying to work someone into a relevant position where they carry weight with major characters. Nyx going for Verdant, Phantom going for Eclipse, hell even Torag trying to gut Graf right now. Obviously that hasn't worked at all, so my remaining option is to lie down and give up on giving the others someone to rally with, because let's face it, Strykers and their allies are fucked without a charasmatic leader. But beyond that, I can use the things my characters are good at to give them some kind of hope for victory. But am I allowed to? Let's give it a rundown.
Aaron's a people person, charasmatic and down to earth, with a great head in-game. He tried to fight off Verdant to give the Harleys some level of hope to beat back a guild that was suddenly top-tier when the canon states that the majority of the players are newbies with an extreme minority of high-levels. I'm 99% sure someone saw this as an attempted powerplay.
Jiro's on the backburner at this point, he's lost relevance with the loss of half the Stryker players. Though he stood up for what he believed in and got understandably shit on for it when he challenged EP. Still pretty sure someone thought I was trying to powerplay here.
But beyond that? I've gotten the feeling that I'm being actively worked against whenever I get an idea that's plot-relevant.
I can understand not wanting the story to go too far off the rails, but we're a community of writers that have made universes of characters that play off of each other. We all have an claim to what happens here, and at this point, that claim's getting stomped on if it deviates from the original vision at all.
I've kept my mouth shut for a year and a half at this point and this is my main gripe. I have others that are more relevant to WoT, but this is for what's here.
Tear it apart, take it personally, I don't care. I physically can't care. This was the breaking point for me.
EDIT: I'm considering just up and leaving at this point, leave someone to patch the holes and all.
