[IC] Academy of Heroes and Villains [Reboot]

Nyra looked up at the group. Apparently they want to talk to her. She shrugged and stood up, walking over to them. She popped her current bubble, saying, "I bet twenty-five dollars that it will happen today." There was no way that gathering a group of raw superpowered teens would be harmless.

"Mm. There's some interesting ones, that's for sure. Ones blowing bubbles, I think. There's already been some trouble but nothing major" phoebe said, standing and smiling at Sam, "shall we go and introduce our selves?"

Harry just shook his head. "I'd rather not" he said "simply because it will probably happen in the next hour or two." He spoke softly, wishing now that he hadn't stepped up. Sooner or later someone would ask why he didn't look at anyone or why he had his glasses.

The voice of many chattered in his head, and he gave a grimace.

"Um. I think I'll go see about my dorm room" he said too quickly, wanting an escape before he broke down.

Kagerou

People seemed to be lingering and Kagerou sighed. Leaving her place she headed toward the front door. Seemed that the gathering group was talking about what could happen. To be honest there never was telling what could occur at this place. Those betting that something would happen were probably on the winning side. "You know that isn't a fair bet. All that has to happen is those betting on chaos have to cause it."

There were a few of them that were taller than she was. However with many newcomers it was probably a good idea to do some introductions. "I hope you're all doing well. My name is Kagerou Rotosu, I'm one of the returning teachers here."

Ryan laughed a bit harder at Harry's statement. "Sorry. Not to be rude, but you're obviously new to the school after that statement. Most people around here are angry at me most of the time anyways." Ryan smiled sadly but quickly fixed his smile. "How soon until the first disaster? Hmm, I say something's going wrong tomorrow. I got twenty bucks on something going wrong tomorrow." Ryan then had a thought. "Just to be clear, we're not allowed to cause the disaster right? Or not on purpose at least." He asked with a mischievous grin. He looked at Kagerou. " Oh. Hello there. It's 'nice' to see you again." He said sarcastically. He was never a big fan of the teachers here.

Kijani stood outside, staring upward at the Academy. Her small suitcase was beside her, and the taxi that had brought her here was already gone. She thought about her first day, last year. She'd had a private ride, a suitcase that weighed as much as her, and a mission to rule the school. Now she had no ride, no mission, and a lot less stuff. She hated to admit it, but she was afraid.

How many rumors were flying around, about why she'd missed nearly 3 months worth of classes last year? How many of them knew the truth? How many looks of disdain was she going to get, or worse, the empty pity stares? What of the whispers, the 'did you hear she tried to--'

Kijani hugged herself, trying to fight off a nauseating wave of fear. She suddenly didn't want to do this, but... she had nowhere else to be. Everyone she knew was here, even if they all probably (and rightfully) hated her. Taking a few deep breaths to steel herself, she headed for the main part of the campus.

Harry

harry seemed frightened at the teachers approach, setting back, he just wanted to bolt. He shouldnt have spoken up to begin with, shouldn't have challanged Ryan. When did he have to be so foolish, all the time? Nkw a teacher was nere, and most adults considered it rude if you didn't maintsin eye contact.

He started to panic, and he looked about for an escape route. Suddenly someone slammed down in front of him, and all Harry could see was a humaniod figure in silver and blue.

Connor

connor hadn't been too sure about returning to school this year. Then he considered what eose he could do. He certainly could go to high school-he had hated it there, and the academy had been the only place he had ever, really, had friends.

And besides...

he let that thought trail off, zooming through the air with ease in his suit. He scanned the school grounds, and all at once, he dived downwards, landing in front of a boy who seem3d ready to bolt.

The suit retracting quickly, into his backpack, and he slapped Ryan upside his head. "Terryfing students already?" He said, looking about, trying to figure who was there and who wasn't.

kalinda watched everyone from tbe shadows. She was wearing all black, covering most of her skin. More a choice of wanting to wear that, then needing to with her shadows. She wasnt particularly interested in anyone. Want she wa ted from this was to be able to graduate, not be co sidered a danger to the school and the world and to get a degree. Last year had shown ner friends were just a liability

Nyra looked at the teacher and nodded. "It's Murphy's Law. If something can happen, it will." She said with a shrug. she took off her hood, revealing her green tinted skin and hair. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Rotosu. My name is Nyra Logan."

Ryan ducked Connor's attempt to hit him and narrowed his eyes in anger. "Still jumping to conclusions I see. You haven't changed a bit." Ryan backed off of both Connor and Harry. "He freaked out when the teacher showed up. I didn't do a thing." Ryan continued. He cracked his neck and sighed. "Whatever. I'll have your tablet fixed by next week." He said to Kaden as he walked away.

In response to Ryan's comment she smirked slightly. It was looking like this student in particular would be trouble. One should expect no less from the son of Deadpool. Not that it was of much consequence. "I'd tell you to stay out of trouble but we both know that won't happen." She called after him playfully. Despite being a teacher she didn't initially seem to be one of the more stuck up ones.

From where she was standing, Kagerou could see that Harry was acting rather nervous. Taking out a small pad she pulled up the information the school had on him. A quick glance at his abilities cleared up why he would act so disconcerted. Stepping around the crowd the woman pulled Harry aside gently. "Harry, isn't it? If you feel you need to step away then don't let any of them stop you." She smiled softly but noticeably avoided eye contact on account of his powers. Usually she was mostly immune to most mental and psychic abilities, but better safe than sorry. Harry's mind would probably be crushed by Kagerou's vastly extended life experiences. Either way she wanted to give him the opportunity to escape if that's what Harry needed.

Looking up it seemed that the grandson of Howard Stark had arrived. Honestly she was more familiar with his grandfather than father. Tony was never keen on the idea of getting to know someone that knew his father well. Iron Man was a little more exposed that Kagerou would like anyhow so it worked itself out. Kagerou's attention was drawn away by Kijani. She actually hadn't met the girl personally. Her role as a teacher was reprised recently while she was away. Stepping away from the group she approached Kijani. "Hello there. Are you with the rest of the new students?" It was probably a little odd being approach by someone her own age as a teacher.

Soon the sound of the school's bells began to rang out across the academy signaling for the start of the day. With a bet currently underway between several of the students on the estimation of when the next mess to occur on the grounds one had to question one important thing. Would it be caused by accident? A villain with goals on the Academy? Or would it be because Deadpool did it for the lolz?

The first class of the day for many students was the mandatory power development course. As the students piled into the classroom and made their ways to a desk whispers were already underway as a tall blonde haired man dressed in a orange collared shirt and tan dress pants entered the room with a small briefcase he sat down on his desk. "Good morning class!" he said to the collective of teens before moving to the board picking up a piece of chalk. "For those of you that don't know me I am Professor Calvin Rankin or Mimic." Mimic announced writing his name and codename up on the board.

"Normally teachers here like to begin the first few days easily. However here in Power Development we will immeaditly jump into this." Mimic said clasping his hands together with a smile. "Now I need some volunteers who would like to go first?" He asked as some of the new students frowned unsure what he meant.

Roxy tilted her head when she head the bells ring. She thought she was close to the classrooms but she wasn't sure. While she had the schools map it wasn't exactly helpful to her. She was mostly following the crowd and hoping they were going to the same place that she was trying to get to. If she remembered the schedule her mother read her most of the kids had power development first like her.

Nyra sat in her desk, slack with her legs stretched out. She blew a bubblegum bubble and raised her hand. Why not? it seemed like fun. Nyra didn't mind showing off what she could do. She was proud of it.

Ryan raised his eyebrow at Nyra, but then smiled. He raised his hand as well and looked directly at her. He mouthed the words, 'You ready to dance?' And kept grinning.

Harry wasn't too sure what to do as Kagerou spoke to him, she seemed to look away or at least not demand eye contact, signaling that she knew how his abilities worked, and for that he was thankful. He just gave a shrug, and looked about as the bell rang. He shifted some things in his backpack, taking out his schedule to see that he had power development. He took the chance to hurry off, and chose a seat at the back, and seemed intent on studying the desk.

When Mimic asked if anyone would volunteer to spar. Harry made no move to offer, but it didn't matter as two of his classmates stepped up. Harry let out a slow breath, and looked up slightly, still looking out from under his hood

Phoebe gave a small laugh as the bell put a stop towards any talking with some of the new students, and smiled at Sam, taking his hand and moving towards power development, claiming seats for them

Connor frowned, as Ryan seemed to react badly. Ryan was weird, but normally in a good mood: Connor gave a sigh, just when he thought he got use to social situations he did something wrong. Connor shoved his hands into his pockets, pondering it for a moment.

Kagerou dealt with the new student, but he still seemed freaked.

Connor looked about him, taking in the school as he did a year ago, he shifted, to start towards the classrooms when the bell rang, wondering if power development would be any different, wondering who else he could tick off today without meaning to.

Kyle looked around the classroom evaluating and judging everyone there. He wanted to get a feel for each students. Most seemed ordinary enough. He thought he could take a couple of them but there were a few he wasn't so sure of. Once he felt a feel for the others he made his way towards the back of the room. He leaned against the wall not bothering to take a seat. He preferred to stand.

Kat watched the idea evolve with vague amusement. However, despite the fact it was her suggestion, she didn't plan on joining the bet. It was small, it was harmless, yet she felt the need to keep her hands clean in all parts of her life. An invested interest always lead to the pointing of fingers when the event eventually occurred and in the unlikely event that it could be linked to her in anyway... well, clean hands. The situation was prevented from escalating much further anyway when Kagerou introduced herself, and shortly after when the bells rang. And just like that, the routine began again.

Power Development would of course have to be the first class. Her dislike of Mimic was no secret which certainly didn't help improve her attitude towards this class. But Kat filtered in regardless and took a seat next to Kaden. "Something the wager may have to be clearer on is what is defined as a disaster. For if something were to happen to Mimic, I'm not sure disaster would be the word I used." She said with a small smirk, before falling silent as the professor began to introduce himself once more.

Kaden smiled shaking his head as he listened to Kat concerning their teacher. "Oh come now Kat, I thought it was my job to be the violent/nice one while you be the smart/mean one." He teased at his cousin knowing full well how much she would enjoy bringing harm to Mimic.

"Alright then students." Mimic said looking at his brave volunteers his eyes scanning each of them for a moment before standing with his feet spread and his arms at his sides. "The rules are simple. The first to land three blows wins." he said already copying each of their skills, knowledge, and abilities. "Good luck and may the odds be in your favor."

Nyra smirked at the guy, preparing for the fight. Different forms raced through her head. Which should she choose? She smiled at her choice and jumped at him, quickly turning into a green jaguar.

Ryan's eyes showed madness as he pulled out his bo staff. He clicked a small button on it and it immediately began visibly sparking at the ends of the staff. He grinned maliciously and prepared to swing the bo staff right at the jaguar that raced towards him. He quickly analyzed her and determined that she was obviously the daughter of Beast Boy and Terra. Meaning she could control earth as well as the ability to turn into animals. She appeared to be aggressive and experienced in turning into various animal forms. She preferred speed over strength judging by her choice to turn into a jaguar instead of a stronger species. All these thoughts would've run through his mind if it weren't for one thing. He was insane.

"I got the Lightning Bolt! I wanted the Blue Shell!" He yelled nnonsensically as he swung directly at the airborne jaguar that was heading for his fleshy face.

Nyra anticipated this. Everyone would have blocked this attack. She quickly turned into a hummingbird before being hit and zipped around the staff. Nyra transformed behind him turn her more human form, kicking him in the back.
