Co-existing with our own lives, a society of feline warriors flourish. Bound by no outside laws, they live and fight to protect what is rightfully theirs, and as time progresses, the Clans must fight even harder then ever.
As the season of leaf-bare comes to an end, and with new-leaf rapidly approaching, a new, and deadly disease has made an appearance through the Clans. Only a few cats have been stricken with it so far, but since the first outbreak, more and more cats have fallen ill. At first, it mimics the symptoms of the common cold, but don’t be fooled, quickly those empty coughs become splattered with dark, raw blood. With the infection levels high, the weakest members of each Clan are at risk and with no cure, it won’t be long until the Clans struggle to survive.
Life-saving herbs are scattered around the Clans and Medicine Cats need access to them all if they are to find a cure. But remember, decisions made will affect the lives of every cat.
Will the Clans come together to defeat this disease, or will old rivalry still linger and doom them all?
Here is a list of ranks which are available for characters within this roleplay:
Leader – Each clan has one Leader who has the responsibility to ensure their clan’s welfare and are tasked with watching over and managing their clan with the help from the Deputy. These cats are the only ones who are given nine lives and a new name (with the ending ‘-star’) upon becoming the Leader. These cats may also receive signs from StarClan, and have been known to speak to their ancestors when in need of some guidance. Due to the busy and important role of a Leader, female Leaders are traditionally not allowed to have kits since caring for them would mean time away from their duties as a Leader.
Deputy – The Deputy is second in command and will take over as the Leader when the original Leader dies or retires. They will also serve in the Leader’s place when the situation is called for it (such as if the Leader is unable to fulfil their duties due to illness, etc). They are also in charge of organizing patrols and are often called on by the Leader for advice, but other then that, they retain the normal duties of a Warrior.
To become a Deputy, a cat must have trained at least one Apprentice. Upon the former Leader’s death or retirement, they become the Leader and go to the Moonstone so Starclan can grant them nine lives. Though, Deputies may also retire and give up their place as Deputy if they wish.
Medicine Cat – The Medicine Cat serves as the Clan’s spiritual leader and healer. As a healer, they gather herbs and store them until needed. They handle diagnosis and treatment of both illness and injury for all the cats in the Clan.
In addition to their responsibilities to their Clan, they also have a responsibility to the other Medicine Cats and StarClan. They carry out their responsibilities to StarClan once ever half-moon, meeting with the other Medicine Cats to discuss matters privately and share dreams with StarClan. Clan Leaders often rely on them to carry messages from StarClan, as Medicine Cats have a special link which no other cat has to the deceased.
In their role as spiritual leader, they teach the code, interpret omen and prophecy and generally serve the Clan as a connection between the earthly cats and their ghostly counterparts.
As a Medicine Cat, they are not allowed to have a mate or bear offspring. Medicine Cats also exist outside of typical Clan rivalries in order to treat all cats fairly.
Medicine Cat Apprentice – A Medicine Cat Apprentice is the cat that is being trained to follow in the pawsteps of the Medicine Cat. Medicine Cat Apprentices also accompany their mentors in their visit to the Moonstone every half-moon to receive dreams from StarClan.
Frequently, a Medicine Cat Apprentice who has had full training will be given a Warrior name (to replace "-paw"); however, Medicine Cat Apprentices remain Apprentices even when fully trained so long as the current Medicine Cat is still practising the arts.
At the time the old Medicine Cat either dies or steps down, the Medicine Cat Apprentice becomes a full Medicine Cat, somewhat like the Leader/Deputy relationship. When the Apprentice becomes the full Medicine Cat then they can then have an Apprentice of their own.
Warrior – A Warrior is a cat trained in the arts of fighting and hunting. Warriors make up the bulk of a Clan, and provide that Clan with the protection and food supply that keeps it safe and well-fed. Typically, a cat is made a Warrior at or over the age of twelve moons. In their oath to become a Warrior, they promise to "uphold the warrior code and protect and defend their Clan, even at the cost of their life."
Queen – A Queen is a she-cat nursing or expecting Kits. Their primary task during this time is the raising of their Kits. Some Queens stay in the nursery even after they have Kits, looking after expecting Queens and helping them raise their own.
Elder – An Elder is a retired Warrior/Deputy/Queen/Medicine Cat/Leader who is too old or not able to continue with their duties. Elders are taken care of by the whole Clan, and are given respect for the time they have served protecting the Clan. They are responsible for taking the body of a dead cat out to be buried.
Some cats don't become an Elder only because of old age; if there is ever a condition which prevents the cat from fulfilling their duties to their Clan (such as permanent injury), it usually leads to the cat's decision of retiring.
They will often tell stories about Clan life as it was when they were growing up to Apprentices.
Apprentice – An Apprentice is a cat in training to become a Warrior. Their names end in the word "-paw" to signify the "path their paws are now on". Most of the time they are at or over the age of six moons. They will have a mentor appointed to them at their ceremony and are usually taken out battle training or hunting. They are also given the task of cleaning out bedding and removing Elders’ ticks and fleas. Apprentices are not allowed to have a mate or Kits due to their young age and not to interrupt their training.
Apprentices cannot leave the camp without the permission of their mentor or another Warrior, and they cannot eat until the Elders and nursing Queens are fed first, unless they have special permission. If an Apprentice breaks a rule, they usually have to go through a punishment, such as searching the Elders pelts for ticks, and if they find any, dabbing some moss with mouse bile on it to get the ticks to drop off. Another punishment is cleaning out old bedding and replacing it with fresh moss. There are other punishments that can be given out, although sometimes it depends on their actions. In some cases, the Leader will not allow the misbehaving Apprentice to go to the next Gathering.
Kit – A Kit is a cat who is too young and has not been made an Apprentice yet. Their names always end in "-kit.” Most often, they are under the age of six moons, though sometimes they are held back from being an Apprentice for a certain amount of time, sometimes due to injury or misbehaving.
They stay in the camp and are forbidden to leave it, unless accompanied by an older cat, such as a Warrior, a Medicine Cat, or any kind older Clan member.
Loners - These are cats who don't live with the Twolegs (Humans) or any of the Clans. They usually live alone in dens they make away from the Clan cats and their territory.
Rouges - These cats are considered evil, once Warriors of the different Clans, they live on the outskirts of Clan territory.
Kittypet - These cats live with the Twolegs (Humans) in their 'nests'. Kittypets are often given a very dismissive outlook by most Clan cats as they are considered to be lazy and have easy lives.

In Character Rules
• Since this is in the casual section, I do ask that you try to post at least a paragraph (which is about a minimum of four sentences long).
• Try and keep all your characters as active as possible but if you are busy, please mention and we can work our way around it.
• Ask permission before injuring, becoming mates with or killing another person’s character(s).
• No God Moding or Power Playing (do not control other people's characters without permission)
• Use proper grammar and spelling as much as you can.
• At the moment, there isn't a certain character limit. You may have as many characters as you want as long as you keep them all active.
• Remember, your character isn't perfect! Not everyone will like your character, just deal with it and move on.
• Ginger Kollie and Tea at midd are your GMs, you must worship us. (Nah, you get my point, we love you all really!)
• This is a semi-realistic role play, so please be REALISTIC!
• If your character gets injuries at any time throughout the role play, remember to stick with it! A few hours later after breaking a leg, your character shouldn’t be up and running across a field like normal, should they? I know it can get boring role playing an old injury but once your character gets injured, stick with it!
• Pay attention to what others have written before you post. Nothing is more annoying then when players post without having looked at the post made before them. If there is any error or miscommunication, then we will discuss it in the OOC.
• If you don't want to be in this RPG any more, then please kill your character(s) off respectively. If you are inactive for a good amount time (with no word), and your characters are getting in the way of other people trying to post, I will pick your character up, and throw them in a lake. Simple.
• Please do not mention any OC Clans. This RP will be using the canon Clans from the books, so if you create a character who was originally from an outside clan, refer to them as 'another' group of cats.
Out of Character Rules
• Try to be at least a little bit civil. We do not expect you to love everyone, but please refrain yourself from being a brat. Thank you.
• Do not demand things, if you would like me or anyone else to maybe update or do something for, ask politely. Demanding things will probably end up with you getting virtually smacked. You are warned.
• No bullying or picking on another players.
• Take any arguments to PMs, no one else wants to listen to your bickering.
• Do not publicly bash people. If you have a problem with someone, then please message one of the GMs and we will deal with it.
• Us GMs, we are both human too! I am very sorry if we forget to update something or do this. We do have lives, please respect that. We will do the best we can.
• Ginger Kollie and Tea at midd have the right to change any of the rules at any time when we see fit.
Character Creation Rules
• Only the GMs have permission to accept or deny someone's character sheet, nobody else.
• All character sheets should be posted in the OOC. Once approved, I will move them into the Character Sheet page.
• No supernatural powers.
• Please limit any abnormal colourings and extras on your character. Try and have natural colours, this is a realistic RP.
Remember, repeated failure to live by these rules will get you ejected from this RP from an over-sized cannon. I do not joke around, kids.
