Dunwall - a city ravaged by plague and Weepers, and now the Empress has been murdered. But as Corvo Attano roams around free, what is life like on the streets? The Distillery District, the Estate District, the Legal District and the Flooded District - all merely looked upon as a shadow to the accused murderer and the assassins truly responsible, but they all thrive and live, leading every day lives as their world goes to chaos around them. But not all of them are as ordinary - the Overseer not only chose Daud and Corvo, but he chose us. Who are we? We're the Guardians of the Galaxy. We're the shadows that lurk in every alley and around every corner. We are the light that lights the way for those who wish it. We are the Chosen Ones, and we choose our destiny.
OOC
I've made the plot pretty brief, as this RP will create and weave it's own plot - it's pretty much a choice based roleplay. And it even has choices at the start! You can choose to be a Chosen One, and set out on your own path with your powers, or you can be a normal everyday person. Even more - you can be a thug, guard, assassin or even a High Overseer!
Unfortunately, you are not going to be Corvo, Daud, The Lord Regent, Emily or anyone else from the actual game. The only people from the game that are going to be in here will be NPCs, roleplayed by me and popping in and out.
But yeah, prepare for all the information.
Maps
Locations
The Whiskey Distillery is a safehouse for Slackjaw and his thugs. Come here to complete assignments for old Slackjaw himself to gain information or money, or even to join his thugs.
This docking station is under high patrol ever since Corvo Attano's attack upon it, so it's very risky to come through here. However, it's the only way to get to the Whiskey Distillery if you're coming from foreign lands. Most would recommend bringing some weapons and spare ammo if you're planning to take this route.
Connected to the Distillery Waterfront, this street is also under heavy guard. This one even more after Corvo broke into Giovanni's Offices on an errand for Slackjaw. Many guards died that day.
Round here isn't as badly guarded, due to the fact that Corvo didn't really stir up a fight near the Clock Tower. Most of the citizens have taken this as a chance to build a save haven, and they barricaded it all up. Now there's no way for guards to get in, along with Weepers and rats. There's a not so well known bar around here that serves up some good whiskey from the Distillery, and you tend to see a lot of people there.
Chances are, if you're a thug and you're caught doing criminal acts, you'll be dragged off here. The prison where Corvo was kept before mysteriously escaping, Coldridge is pretty heavily guarded. Anywhere Corvo was will be heavily guarded, really. So be careful with your criminal acts, otherwise you'll probably never be seen again.
Dunwall Tower - the place where the Empress was murdered and this all began. It's since been put into lockdown, as the Lord Regent (previously the Royal Spymaster) resides there. Nobody tends to go there anymore, and it's patrolled by guards daily, 24/7.
The Golden Cat was the place where Emily Kaldwin, daughter of the late Empress Jessamine Kaldwin, and where the Pendleton brothers, Morgan and Custis. It now acts as a whorehouse, as the guards have long since fled.
NPCs
Government
Hiram Burrows, The Lord Regent (previously Royal Spymaster), is a wicked man, who ordered the assassination of Empress Jessamine Kaldwin, before putting the blame on Corvo Attano, the Lord Protector. He also kidnapped Emily Kaldwin, the Empress' daughter and heir to the throne. He has made the entire city believe his propaganda and that Corvo Attano is guilty of his accused crime, with announcements going out spreading the news across the city.
Thoddeus Campbell, the High Overseer and once good friend to Corvo, was deceived by The Lord Regent and fell to corruption. Campbell regularly resorts to blackmail to achieve his aims, keeping a journal where he records secrets about a great number of Overseers. It is through blackmail that he was able to ascend to the position of High Overseer.
Thugs
Slackjaw is the crime boss of the Bottle Street Gang, a powerful criminal faction in Dunwall. He is a wanted man with a large bounty on his head. His crimes, as stated by the City Watch, include: Larceny, Assault, Mendacity, Disobedience of Public Ordinance, Unlawful management of Prostitutes, and Public Urination. Slackjaw is open to application, and will not be roleplayed by me, but the person who can actually be bothered reading this. If you want to apply for him, you'll have to post a sample of how you'd portray him in OOC.

Extras
That's about it. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't already a Dishonored RP that I could find on here, so I took things into my own hands >:3! Other than that, have fun! Also, as usual with other RPs, please post your character sheets in OOC first, and wait for approval by me before putting them in Characters. Now get roleplaying!

History
Wilheim's a whaler. Damn good one too. He used to be out there raising up the bigguns day in and day out. However, after Dunwall started spiraling down into the shitter, he and his fellow sailors began seeing less and less work thanks to fear of the plague reaching foreign waters. Now that his job has been put on a complete hold for the time being, he's settled back into his unsightly hovel in John Clavering Boulevard, where he scrounges up a living by reeling hagfish out of the local waters and doing odd jobs around the neighborhood. It's not pretty, and the immediate area can be somewhat dangerous, but he gets by just fine.
@SepticGentleman Sorry for the late reply! Feel free to stick it in the Character Tab. Could it just have a hider, though? Saves people having to scroll through lines of text.
If anyone wants to apply, feel free to, however I won't be on for 5 days due to having to go down to Hull for a wedding. As soon as I get back, I'll check any character profiles that have been posted and give you feedback. Please try not to be impatient.
@Kingfisher Sorry for the late reply! I have a new hamster :3
Glad to see you're interested!

History
The youngest daughter of the esteemed Lord and Lady Westgrace, Nypheria spent her childhood being pushed aside in favour of her elder siblings, which served to brew a fiery hatred for them within her. Wanting to leave her own legacy on Dunwall, and not spend her life struggling to escape from beneath her family’s shadow, Nypheria became acquainted with the dark underside of the Whaling city, establishing her own private business relations with Slackjaw and the notorious Bottle Street Gang. Deeply integrated with the elixir bootlegging trade, Nypheria has been known to distil the concoction so that she can sell greater amounts of it, thus weakening its effectiveness, and potentially leaving its users still susceptible to the plague.
Nypheria plays a dangerous game, balancing the politics of Dunwall’s upper-class with her shady underworld dealings, but she has so far managed to avoid detection by the City Watch.

Apologies for the late reply again! He's called Dobby, after my mum's favourite character from Harry Potter XD. Also, CS accepted! Feel free to stick Nypheria in the CS tab with a good ol' hider on her.

@Kingfisher Because of your great GMing on Fallout: Capital Graveyard, I dub thee Co-GM!
Why thank you, my good man! I'm just about to go back to college, but I'll try my best to manage my responsibilities evenly, and to do Dunwall justice.

Hey, just poking in here. Tentatively interested, but I was wondering if we're going to be playing in a High or Low Chaos Dunwall?
As one plays through the Game (as either Corvo or Daud), the more people they kill, the more rats, weepers, and general unpleasantness there is around - by several orders of magnitude. What's the score on that end?

Ah, yes. The infamous modes of Dunwall. We will be in a High Chaos Dunwall, as Corvo has killed any guards or people that blockaded his path, and killed every target he's had. However, the roleplay will start off just after the Empress was murdered, so the rats slowly build up as Corvo kills more and more. Essentially meaning we will start off with the standard few rats, then things will get worse.
Ah! Dishonored?! Loved it! Even though I suck at it. But still, loved it. So glad theres a sequel on the way. Anyways I'm new to the site, so I'm still getting used to the coding here, and I'll have a CS up in a bit.
