[IC] Descendants

Katherin looked out the window of her mother's office window of Auradon Prep. On one hand she was looking to forward to school starting. But on the other she wasn't. She was the daughter of the head master of the school. Which meant that the other kids would expect her to be a goodie or a rebel. She really didn't think of herself as either. She didn't know what she was yet.

Aurora stood in front. She breathed in the new air, being away from her mother and father's castle. She had a long white dress, short in the front, long in the back, and her hair was blue. She looked at her hand, as she walked. "Conceal, Don't feel, don't let them know." She muttered, as her trial of ice followed her, as she made a snowflake in her hand. "Jack be free, Elsa be concealed." She said, thinking of her mother and father, Elsa and Jack Frost. She walked inside, opening the huge doors. Her blue gaze looked around, smiling.

"Yeah, yeah, I left Charon in charge of the dog. Dad's fine. No--" Sigh.

The young man speaking into his cellphone may have looked a bit strange in a land that didn't have watches, let alone smartphones. He was getting odd looks with his mirrored shades, green skin, and high class clothing, but any stares he was given were politely turned before he could meet their eye (or at least, so the onlookers thought), assuming it was just a skin condition. Or that he was a Gorgon. That would make sense too.

He continued to deflect the speaker's muffled interrogation, obviously his mother, before walking into a dark, dead-end alleyway. That certainly wasn't what rich kids did--but if anyone were to look, they'd have no proof.

The boy wasn't even in Ancient Greece anymore.

Demetrios emerged from another little nook and cranny in the world, a few blocks away from Auradon Prep. And, thank the Gods, so so so many miles away from the Underworld. But his conversation with his mother was far from over, and as the argument escalated, he was whisper-screaming strings of Greek into his phone a mile a minute.

"Αντίο, μαμά."

More muffled arguing from the other end.

"Αντίο!" Demetri shut the smartphone off after hanging up, massaged a headache. He just wanted to get settled into the dorms as soon as possible.

Upon entering the building, Demetri breathed a sigh of relief. The softer light inside was a few steps removed from what he'd experienced on his walk there, and combined with his shades did a little to ease his agitated migraine. While he was glad to be away from the drab and dreary environment of his home-pocket-dimension, being born in Asphodel made one's eyes weak to direct sunlight, and since he didn't even have eyes, he was a little worse off than Thanatos or Melinoe.

He perked up at noticing the white and blue-haired girl across the room, and rolled up the sleeves of his sweater while smoothing the rest out. A good balance of casual but polite, right? It's nice to leave a good first impression. He cleared his throat and put on a polite smile.

"Hello, you are a student too?" He asked.

The girl turned around, making the snowflake suddenly disappear. Conceal it, Aurora. She thought to herself. She pulled down her winter hood, that made her look like Jack frost, her father. She had a deep blue swirl that started at her eye.

"Um, yes. Im Aurora, daughter of Queen Elsa and Jack Frost." Aurora said, looking back to see if her ice trial lead to where she was. Shoot! She thought, snapping her figure and making her ice disappear.

"B-But but but... You cheated somehow!!" A rather stunning looking blonde fellow wailed in disbelief as he stared down at the cards in front of him and the rest of the small group of teens. A smirk would then be heard as a well dressed gentleman reached out and started to pull all the money that was piled up on the table towards him. "That may be, but sadly for ya boys I still get yer money." He said with a crooked smile as he stacked the money into a neat pile before he waved his hand over it, causing it to vanish into thin air. The laughing teen then stood from his spot and looked back over the rest of the shocked group. "Well it has been a pleasure boys, but it is time for me to move along. Oh and I would like my cards back." He said before he took a bow, removing his top hat as he did so and revealing his wild hair. The cards that were spread across the table and still in the other boys' hands then all were drawn into the hat as if like a vacuum. Standing up and placing the hat back on his head the dark skinned fellow gave the group a wink before turning on his heels and walking off while whistling a jolly tune. This was already starting to look like a good year to Lu.

Demetri quirked an eyebrow at the seemingly pointless snap.

When Aurora drew her hood down, he slipped off his shades figuring it polite and immediately regretted it. The light in the room temporarily blinded him. He smiled as if nothing was wrong, squinting over empty sockets.

"Very bright in here, but I'm more used to dimmer lighting, yes? I'm Demetrios, son of Lord Hades and Lady Persephone. It's a pleasure." He offered his left hand for a shake, hoping Aurora wouldn't be put off by his parentage. "Call me Demetri."

"Couldn't Mother have picked a better school for me? Ughhhhh"

The small figure stomped on the ground repeatedly,
"Why do I have to go to school anyways!? I'm smart enough, I'm a genius"
Her face turned red like a tomato as she kicked a pebble.
"Why doesn't mother understand that? And what kind of excuse was "I'm sending you to school cause i'm to busy to keep an eye on you." You weren't busy at all! Plus, the servants could've taken care of me, father could've!? UGH"

All eyes were on her as she yelled at herself. Beatrice was also short for her age and flat-chested, she basically looked like a young elementary school kid. She insisted that the dress makes her look a bit older but in reality it didn't. It just makes her look snobby, which she is actually. Everyone wasn't finding her body and clothes strange, they kept looking at her huge red hands. It really wasn't understandable how she got big hands since no one in the family has them. It was a strange case but everyone in the castle didn't care after awhile.
Beatrice glared back at the people, "What?" She sassed. Unfortunately she didn't notice the huge ruckus she was making by yelling. "Hmph" Beatrice turned around allowing her dress to follow after, the red she was wearing made her stand out considering that she has a huge dress and a crown.

Beatrice had always wanted to be like her mother thus why she's so rude and conceited. She copied her mother's traits, well actually, her mother taught her how to behave. Not the normal, "oh be sweet and adorable!" Nope, Beatrice had to learn how to defend herself with words. She cant really fight and when she does it looks like she's have a seizure. Soon enough her mother stopped teaching her and eventually, Beatrice learned from watching her mother. She also enjoyed observing her father but Beatrice believed he wasn't as scary and rude as her mother.

"Tch."

"A whole new world..." A soft weightless tone filled the air as the clouds drifted lazily across the clear skies. Sela swung her dangling foot back and forth, focused entirely on the sky above her. Being as her parents were more excited than she was about her first day of school, they had 'accidentally' dropped her off a few hours too early. They didn't even leave magic carpet with me, sheesh. So, due to an immense amount of boredom, Sela had given herself the grand tour of the highly prestigious Auradon Prep. A few once overs and attempting to pick a few locks here and there, Sela gave up and decided on waiting for the school to get busier. She was now laying on a tree branch, entertaining herself with her thoughts.

"A new fantastic point of view..." The lilt to her voice was replaced a sarcastic tone while her expression scrounged in disgust. Her parents thought that by sending her to this forsaken school for "prim and proper" kids, Sela would have a complete personality makeover. As if that could ever work. Sela slowly repositioned herself on the branch so that now both her legs were dangling off. She closed her eyes and began to notice something that was distinctly different from before. The stillness in the background had been disrupted; the background sounds switched from the rustle of leaves to the shrill voices of teenagers. Instead of the calming whirring of hummingbird wings, she heard clattering footsteps on the road. Sela's eyes flickered away from the sky and towards the origin of the noise. She sat up and observed the ground below, "Guess it's time."

Effortlessly, Sela swung down the tree in a flowing motion. She descended with such ease that it was over in a matter of seconds. With a hint of curiosity in her gaze, Sela scoured the crowd gathering towards the front of the building. Her attention was immediately set on the odd spectacle that was unfolding right before her eyes. A wannabe queen was talking to herself in the middle of the main road. Sela chuckled and thought of approaching the girl, but decided against it. She turned away and continued towards the front of the school, only to look back a few seconds later to find the same girl staring down a group of onlookers. "If you insist..."

Sela wore her fakest smile and approached the troubled girl. More like emotionally disturbed, haaaa. She fixed her gaze on the girl's eyes, flickering towards the rest every now and then. "Morning!" Sela's smile was now turned up a notch as she outstretched her hand. "Are you a new student, as well?"

a dark raven, landed on a length of twisted birch wood, tree looking in appearance and a oval crystal ball on top.
"Cr-r-ruck Cr-r-ruck Cr-r-ruck" called Diaval from my staff.
"Please don't remind me! I know!" said the girl holding the staff with the raven on top of the crystal, standing in front of the building. she is now calling school.
"Cr-r-ruck Cr-r-ruck Cr-r-ruck" called Diaval
"stop being a pain in my side, and go brother mother!" waving my staff, trying to get Diaval off.
"Cr-r-ruck Cr-r-ruck Cr-r-ruck" called Diaval, flying off.
"finally!" making my staff disappear in a poof of smoke, to find two girls in from of me.
one talking to herself, while the other smiling with a outstretched her hand. "Are you a new student, as well?"

"Are you a new student, as well?"

"Of course I am, what kind of question is that?" Beatrice replied, turning around to face the young girl. She sighed, opening her mouth once more. "Guess I should explain, because doesn't anyone love hearing me talk? Anyways, I got transferred in late so i'm new. Even though I'm like 16 so I'm older and smarter." Beatrice shoved her heart staff in the kids face,

"Listen here, I ain't nice. So don't expect me to act all goody goody with yah." She lowered her staff down, trying her best to look down on the girl but it was truly hard since Beatrice was short.

Giving up, Beatrice planted both hands on her hips and smirked. She really tried her best to act cool, "My name is Beatrice Elizabeth Heart, Daughter of Queen of Hearts and Knave of Knights. Now, your name?"

After introducing herself, at the corner of her eyes she noticed a girl who seemed to be talking to her staff or something. Beatrice couldn't really make out what she was doing since she only saw a glimpse of her.

Sela's friendly expression quickly turned sour. She raised the side of her upper lip in disgust, and she opened her mouth to put the little brat in her place. But as if advised against it by her little shoulder angel, Sela shut her lips and kept a tight-lipped smile, just nodding as lady miss shorty finished her soliloquy.

"...don't expect me to act all..." The girl's words kept droning in and out while Sela tried to contain herself. Sela's gaze flickered over her shoulder a few times as well towards the girl that was standing behind her, giving her a reassuring smile once or twice. It's actually kind of cute, if you think about it. The scene, as viewed by other onlookers, probably resembled that of an adult going along with a little kid's selfish tantrum. Hah, look at that, the wittle runt is trying to look down on me! Which was virtually impossible since Sela was a few heads taller than the girl.

"Now, your name?" The question startled Sela, but before answering Sela nonchalantly moved a few steps backwards in order to include the dark purple haired girl in the conversation. "The name's Sela Al-hamed, don't wear it out" she winked, then turned her gaze away from Beatrice and towards the other girl. "I'm the lucky daughter of Jasmine and Aladdin, you?"

i noticed the girl in front of me, move a few steps backwards in order to include me into the conversation. "Queen of Hearts and Aladdin you say? interesting! I'm Lilith Mel, Daughter of Maleficent" standing proud in front of them, when i said my mothers name. forgetting the part about my father, who i didn't care about at all.
I turn to Sela Al-hamed, "Do you know Jafar, by any chance?"

Aurora shook his hand. "Nice to meet you." She said, smiling. She pulled her hood over her head again. I don't like the light and sun. Im more of a dark and snow person." She stated, flashing a snowflake in her hand to show her snow powers from Elsa and Jack Frost.

Katherin turned when he heard her mother turn on the PA system. "Welcome everyone. We are looking to an exciting year. Please make your way to the gym. Maps should be available on our electronic devices. If you don't have a map please let one of the teachers know and we will see to it. I look forward to meeting all of you in a few minutes."Katherin rolled her eyes. Her mother was sometimes too sweet and good even for her. How coukd anyone be that happy all the time?

Aurora heard the bell ring. "Gotta go, head to the gym." She said, waving good bye as she walked to the gym. Behind her was a trail of ice, as she kept making snowflakes in her hand, and watching them melt.

"Dark and snow is nice, yes--I'd personally like to live in the sunlight, where it's warm, and not where the water of River Styx condenses on the rocks and drips on your head all day. But y'know, bad eyes. We don't always get what we want." He smiled amicably, jesting, and blinked at the snow in her palm. "Nice powers. Are they insured?"

When Aurora mentioned having to leave, he nodded and waved, smirking at the trail of ice and snow that followed her. The people he'd meet this year would be very interesting, apparently.

When she was gone, he sighed through his nose and put his shades back on, and leaned against a ledge. Maybe she'd be surprised when he beat her there. Maybe he'd meet more interesting specimens.

In a curl of blue smoke and hellfire, he was gone, and looked around the gymnasium.

Aurora blinked, standing at the enterence, looking at him. "What the?" She said, walking to him. "How'd you get her so fast? I didn't see you walk past me!" She said, causing a chair behind her to freeze.

"Oops." Aurora said, touching to chair as it shattered. She turned back to him and crossed her arms.

Lu had been the first one to make it to the gymnasium since he had already been right out its front door playing a little game of three card monte with a small group of new students. "Aw better luck next time children." He said with a fake sympathetic tone before he waved his hand in front of the cards and money in front of him causing it to disappear into his pocket. He whistled a tune as he entered the gym and found himself a seat, propping his dress shoes covered feet up. He watched as other students began to file in, looking them over with a scheming interest in his eyes. He particularly notice two in particular, one being a tall oddly colored fellow who appeared out of a pale blue fire while the other was a smaller girl who gave off a cold air the Lu felt all the way over from his own seat. "Hmm they should be interesting..." Lu spoke to himself with a sly smile.

He shrugged his answer. "It is a mystery. We just don't know."

"So, did Ikea overcharge for the electric heaters or something? Usually people don't get that upset with a chair unless it's plugged into an outlet in a state prison and about to send them all the way to Tartarus." He laughed at the broken chair and picked up the frozen half of a leg. He guessed Aurora's powers were still a little unpracticed--he understood that. He fairly certain that if he teleported again, he'd pass out half way there and end up somewhere he didn't want to be...like the girl's bathrooms. That would be hard to explain.

Stretching, Demetri sensed something--someone--that made the hairs on the back of his neck tingle. He turned to the attractive, dread-headed teen who was approaching them, and gave a hesitant smile. Something about this particular character struck a chord with him; maybe it was the black clothing and the skull motif.

"Hey. Nice cufflinks."

Aurora turned, looking at Lu. "Hello." Aurora said, the deep blue swirl from her eye shown as she pulled down her hood. She wore a long white dress, with a necklace crystal given to her by her father, Jack frost. She waved, making a snowflake. She gave a small smile, but like her mother, was not goo with people.
