Thallie woke up and sighed quietly. Yes she didn't need to sleep but she chose to; it passed time and it relieved some stress at times. It was very relaxing to her. Walking over to the window of Jacks hideout. She had so much going through her mind and it was over whealming for her. According to the information gathered within the past few days Amare CHOSE to go with Brontes.
This gave Thallie a complete headache. Why would Amare betray her and choose to go with the man Scratch that monster that damned them all to this horrible place with these annoying people. Well they weren't all annoying but Thallie found a good amount of them annoying. Rubbing her temple she closed her eyes then opened them back up again. She was rather frusterated and had no idea what to do anymore. She started to tear up a little whiping her eyes she sighed quietly and shook her head
Jumping from cloud to cloud, Jack swooped down from the air, the wind carrying him as fast as he could go. He took a deep breath, sucking in the cool air. He had spent the past four days away from his house, trying to keep up his job as a Season, but he couldn't help but feel that this sucked to be a Season when this was going on. His bare feet touched the ground and he spun his staff around in his hand, resting on his shoulder. His blue jacket, which he had taken to wearing after seeing Rise of the Guardians, was slightly frosting around his collar. Huh. There was some truth to that movie.
He cokes an eyebrow when he saw Thallie looking out through the window and he made his way inside, shaking off any extra snow that was on his jacket. He was about to head into the living room to talk with Thallie when Ash grabbed him by his jacket, yanking him back. Ash pulled him into the nearest room and slammed the door shut.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"
Chill out, Ash, " Jack said, gritting his teeth. He rubbed the back of his neck self-conciously and looked toward the door.
"
You aren't talking to her about this. "
"
Why not?" Jack's eyes were as cold as his season when he looked at his brother this time. Ash was not used to seeing him like this. In fact, no one was.
"
She's having a rough time. You need to let her deal and not make it more complicated. " Ash's voice rose as he went throughout the whole sentence and he cringed before his voice dropped again. "
You know it's a bad idea, so why are you doing it? "
"
She needs someone there for her! You saw what happened when Amare left." Jack ran a hand through his hair. "
I'm not talking about this anymore. You can't convince me otherwise. " Jack then brushed passed him and walked out the door.
Ash shook his head and muttered, "
I told you not to do anything stupid. "
Thallie stood up as she heard the door shut .She knew she should of took Jack's advice when he said to get out of the house. Sighing she got dressed and ready to go outside. Smiling a little as winter was her favorite season.
Once she was ready she went outside her boots crunching the snow beneath them. Walking down the side walk she watched as people passed her. Some looked busy while others looked happy. This made her cringe a little she couldn't understand why they'd be so happy over anything. Putting her hands in her coat pockets she continued to walk. After a few moments passed by she some how managed to bump into a few males. This made them smirk at her and give her alll of their attention
"Hey there pretty lady" rolling her eyes she walked through them or rather tried before one of them grabbed her arm
"Where do you think you're going pretty lady" he said with a smirk. Gritting her teeth she glared
"Let go of me creep!" she demanded
When Jack slammed the door shut, he was determined to find Thallie and explain to her about what was going on, but as he entered the living room once more, she was gone. She was no longer sitting in the living room where she had been. Jack swore under his breath and grabbed at his hair. Maybe this was a sign. Maybe he shouldn't pursue this.
Thallie kept trying to get him to let go
"Look buddy you've picked the wrong day to mess with me" she said glaring at him
"is that so?! My my you have such pretty little lips" the guy smirked at her as he began to tighten Grip on her arm she winced a little glaring at him as she tried to separate his hand from her arm.
Jack tapped his staff against the top of his head, thinking for a few moments. He rubbed the back of his neck, sitting down in a chair, and he held his staff out in front of him. "
Thalliana" he murmured to it as he passed his hand over the top of the hook, creating an ice mirror once more. Snowflakes swirled in mirror and a picture of the pretty white haired girl appeared, along with a group of mortal men. One had a grip on her arm and it looked as if she was struggling to get free.
Anger flashed across his mind and Jack jumped to his feet, staring at the ice. He memorized the location. It wasn't too far from here. She must have just left. He slammed the staff against the ground and whistled. The door banged open and a stiff winter wind flew in. He jumped in the air, and the winter caught him, swinging him out of the house.
He maneuvered his way to Thallie's location, dodging around buildings. He landed atop a tall one, overlooking the scene from above. Thallie was struggling to get the creep's arm off her and rage slowly built up in his stomach. He tapped the side of the building, and ice began to form, heading down into an alleyway nearby. He didn't want to hurt anyone, but he would if he had to.
He slide down the ice into the alleyway, his bare feet stinging from iceburn, before walking out behind Thallie. "
There you are!" He tried to play off coolly. He wrapped his arm around Thallie's shoulders and grabbed the guy's hand, pulling it off her arm in one quick motion. "
I was looking for you everywhere." He glared at the guys and said stiffly, through gritted teeth, "
Thanks for keeping her company. We'll be on our way now." Keeping a good grip on Thallie's shoulders, he spun her around back toward the direction of the house.
Thallie prepped her knee to knee the guy but before she could she heard a familiar voice and her name. It was Jack putting her knee back down she looked at Jack with a face of sweet relief. The guys stared at him confused but before they could open their mouth she was already out of their grip and heading back towards the house.
Thallie looked at Jacks hand on her shoulder raising an eyebrow but ignoring it.
"Thanks..Jack" she swallowed. Unsure if he was actually looking for her she looked at him and then back towards the house.
"How did you know that I was...and were you actually looking for me?" she asked moving her shoulder out of his grip. They were almost to the house which was a relief for her. Relaxing a little she waited for his answer.
"
I...uh..." Now that he was in front of her, he didn't think he could do it. "
I was actually looking for you. There's something that I need to talk to you about. But you left before we could talk."
Thallie looked at him quite curious her mortal blue eyes glowing a bit as she looked at him she was quite curious to what it could be about.
"About what? Jack is everything alright? " she gave a small little smile. Thallie was stressed and just not okay but for some reason talking with Jack always made her smile and feel relaxed. She looked down at her feet watching them crunch the snow beneath them.
His voice failed him at the moment he needed it most. Jack took a deep breath and opened his mouth, but all that came out was a slight squeaking noise. He quickly shut it again and tapped his staff against his shoulder. "
Everything's fine. Nothing to worry about. We can talk about it later."
SHIT GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKER! YOU IDIOT! WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU SAY THAT?! Jack thought to himself as they continued toward the door. He opened the door for her and let her inside. When she walked in front of him, he smacked himself in the head a couple of times with his staff.
Dammit.Ash, who was waiting worrisome at the door, smiled at the two stiffly as he glared around Thallie at Jack. "
So how was your walk?"
She raised an eyebrow then nodded "We can talk about it tonight alright?" She said as she walked through the door raising an eyebrow at Ash.
"it was interesting I had a run in with mortal creeps. BUT then Jack became my life saver." Looking between the two she could sense something was up. giving the a small glare she cleared her throat
"Ash! Jack you both better tell me what is going on or else I swear it won't be pretty and do not lie I will know." she said sternly to them.both
Jack and Ash exchanged a glance and Ash gestured for Jack to talk before turning around and throwing up his hands in exasperation. He stormed off, leaving Jack and Thallie alone. Jack cleared his throat softly before turning to her and mutter quickly and rapidly, "
ItnkImbengtoflfru." He growled at himself before saying, again, but this time slower, "
I think I'm beginning to fall for you, Thallie. Ash didn't want me to tell you because of all that's been going on, but I thought you could... benefit from knowing." Jack stared at the ground, a pale flush coming up onto his neck and cheeks.
Thallies eyes widened a little her face immediately becoming flushed in the cheeks.
"J-Jack why do you think that.. what do you mean you.." She was completely surprised yet overwhelmed so much has happened..And it was almost to much for her but she let out a small breath and ran her hands through her hair.
"What do you mean you think you're falling for me and Ash knew for how long..how long have you felt this way Jack?!" "
Thallie, ever since I came to work for your parents, I haven't stopped thinking about you. You are the most amazing, hard headed, strong person I know and it kills me to see you this way." Jack took a couple steps back, away from her. Right then, his staff glowed bright blue and he tapped it against the ground. He turned his eyes back to her and said, "
I have to go. Just think about it, please?" He walked up to her quickly, kissed her forehead and walked back out the door. He whistled and the wind immediately picked him, carrying him off to do his job.
Still in shock she just stared at him. She wasn't how she used to be nothing like that actually and it was just so surprising to her. Right as she was about to say something Jacks staff began to glow. Swallowing and closing her mouth she looked at him. His eyes seeming so soft and gentle. Listening to him she nodded her face turning a bright soft pink as he kissed her forehead.
" I will.. " she told him as he left. Shutting the door she cleared her throat. Groaning she walked into the room ash was in giving him a hard look.
"I am going to kick your ass!" she shook her head and swallowed completely overwhelmed she sighed and looked at him.
"
I figured as much," Ash said, looking up from the living room chair. He had had his head in his hands for the passed minutes that Jack was talking to Thallie and he was just done. Right then, Onatar burst in through the door, shouting and breaking things, and becoming very angry. Ash rolled his eyes and stood up slowly, grabbing his scythe. "
And then there's that guy..."
