"Then lets go up and have a quick bite of lunch. We are having fried chicken and masked potatoes. One of my favs here." Thmas spoke as he looked at the two students.
"I am last so I can close up...."

Mystique smiled as Elizabeth joined her and Ayaka. It was nice feeling of finally having all three of them sitting together as a group. She liked having people around her because she grew up with other children being around her all of the time.

"What do we do in Mind Control Class, Lady Violetta?" she asked.

Lady Violetta had noticed that Thomas hadn't brought his students to lunch but that was his responsibility so she said nothing until Mystique spoke up.
"I am sure that you will soon find out, Mystique."

Ayaka was sitting at the table with Elizabeth and Mystique eating her chicken. It was rather different having Elizabeth there, probably because she was used to Elizabeth not having much interest in having friends. Either that or she just didn't know how to make a friend. Ayaka didn't know which it was. She was glad though that Elizabeth was suddenly interested in befriending them though.

"Do either of you know what you want to do after we've graduated from here?" Ayaka asked both Mystique and Elizabeth. "I think I'm interested in Explorer and Dragon Rider right now." There usually didn't seem much time for conversation during class as Ayaka decided upon focusing on practicing her magic during that time, so why not during lunch?

Elizabeth was sitting with Ayaka and Mystique, eating her chicken. Ayaka had decided to ask what they were planning on doing after school was done and over with. Elizabeth was quite sure of what she intended to do. To others, it likely sounded far too big and arrogant, but Elizabeth knew it was she was meant to do, and was the only profession which was truly large enough to contain her.

"I intend to be the ruler of my own country," Elizabeth said.

"A ruler of a country? Hmmm.... it would seem to me that you would have to find the country that you want to rule. How are you going to get there? I want to be a dragon rider, explorer and an archivist. Don't you have to take all of the classes for ruling a country?" Mystique asked as she nibbled on a chicken leg.
"I'd double check the master list as to what you need to have to be a ruler."

Yes, that is indeed correct. To be the ruler of my own country I must indeed acquire all the knowledge that this school has to give me. But I know I have what is necessary to do such a thing, and to run my own country."

Mystique smiled at Elizabeth.
"How are you going to get to a new place? You need some form of transportation and you don't have a dragon yet. I am not nit picking but pointing out the facts. I wonder if there are other people on other islands."

"No dragon?" Elizabeth said. "In fact, I do have a dragon, but it is a rare occasion in which I take him out. I shall even tell you his name, Uriel. When the time comes, I shall go riding on him as I arrive at my new land."

"Really?! Then I guess you will be able to go where you want to..... I guess you were in our dragonic classes but you are so quiet that I guess that I just didn't notice you. Sorry." Mystique spoke sadly.

"Surely there must be some mistake," Elizabeth said. "You simply do not recall me."

For someone to not have seen her must have been the greatest absurdity for her to ever hear. It was only her faulty memory that had failed. Elizabeth moved on to the next subject, and this was all soon providing.

"You seek to be an adventurer, Mystique?" Elizabeth said. "I'm sure you will see many new things, and embark upon many quests, and speak of many tales. There is, after all, a whole world which you may discover."

"I will have a lot of new things to discover and hopefully a lot of interesting creatures as well." Mystique
"Maybe I'll even do a quest for you one day."

"Well at least one of us is ambitious enough to rule her own country. I have to say I might one day be capable of something like that, but not sure I really want to. Perhaps in the future I'll change my mind? Who knows? What if I find an interesting place for a country while exploring?"

Ayaka was now excited. She couldn't wait to see what she'd find out. For now though she'd have to focus on her studies.

"I was thinking about exploring on my own, but since Mystique is interested too, perhaps I don't have to."

Thomas had shooed his students up to lunch and he went to his office to prepare for the afternoon classes.

"We will be the best known people this world ever will know! There are so many opportunities out there and we will be the ones to explore this world first. In fact, we will be the first in everything that we do...... kinda amazing in a way. I never dreamed of being first in anything and now I'll be one of the first in many things." Mystique spoke as she cleaned her hands.

Those were words she had not expected from Ayaka, who Elizabeth had saw as quite an ordinary girl. Ah, but perhaps there were indeed deeper sides to these people. The conversation was indeed taking a turn for the interesting.

"To discover a land and become its ruler would be true freedom," Elizabeth. "Everything in your hands. The future is yours to mold and the state is entirely subservient to your own business. And I'm sure that there is enough room in this world for two adventurers, at least for a time. Mystique, if what you say is true, and we will be first in many things, then perhaps the three of us may go out and seize the world."

Mystique became quiet and thoughtful for a few minutes before speaking again.
"It would like a ruler would have the most freedom but I doubt that......"

"Do you think so?" Elizabeth said. "Well, only the truly independent and the truly great can ever be free from the meddling of the world, and only a true a leader could subjugate the world's meddling,"

Elizabeth released a giggle.

"Perhaps when I arrive at the throne, I will find a way to truly be free. You made me think of paths I had not yet, and for that I commend you, Mystique."

"I hope that you know what you are doing because I think that ruling a country could be a big hassle. I wouldn't want to fight wars or make people do what I want them to do. Things like that would bug me so bad. To me freedom is to be able to do what I want without having to worry about other people and what they are doing." Mystique announced confidently.

"I indeed have put a great deal of thought into it. I intend to create a country that will not collapse even as the years go by. My polis will be built to stand like a pillar of marble. But I must commend you, for independence is the highest virtue."

Mystique turned to Elizabeth in surprise for she never thought that she would compliment her on anything.
"Thank you, Elizabeth. I am sure that you have thought a lot about running a country. I wish that there was a course on what kind of lands there are on this world. That would be quite interesting to see." Mystique spoke up.
