Also might want to think about adding appearance as a required thing for your CS

All species are allowed. The basic concept is a Multiverse, in which there are a variety of different realities. Each reality has it's own rules and laws, and has it's own inhabitants.

You can play everything ranging from a vampire to a fairy to a God.

HCL is a free-for-all roleplay where you can play characters you made up, alongside characters from alternate fictional universes. We've had everything ranging from Angels, Gods, Minecraft Characters, and plenty of Crazy Scientists. We even had a character from Blood Compact show up in here ^^

You wanna play an 8-year-old with the power to summon giant teddy bears of doom? Go ahead. You wanna play a bloodstained veteran of many wars, punisher-style? Go for it!

I'm going to start writing up things I think should be in the OP.

Dimension Shifting:
Within the grand Multiverse exist a myriad of universes. Among those who live within these realms, there are a number that have seemingly at random been granted the capability to shift from reality to reality. They can walk between the many universes of HCL, allowing them to go on grand adventures. It's these people that may eventually determine the fate of the Multiverse. However, dimension shifting isn't instant, and it isn't easy.

In order to move from one dimension to another, you must be able to concentrate. The process usually takes about a minute, and any interruptions during that time period will prevent you from transporting. There are also many magic spells, or sciency dimensional anchors that might prevent you from leaving or entering a certain reality.

I think the time spent concentrating should be ten seconds for new places, and five for places a character has been before. I'll admit, that doesn't seem like that much time. But it's enough time for someone to get their concentration broken.

The one minute time limit is to ensure that the ability is almost exclusively used outside of combat. If someone can just pop off in the middle of combat, then there's no stakes. Reducing it to a matter of seconds means that you could just hide around the corner and TP out, presumably to some dimension where you'd have a massive homeground advantage.

Vehicles are probably much faster at moving from dimension to dimension. However, they come with the downside that you actually need to be in the vehicle in order to use it. As such, the time limitation is replaced with a place limitation.

Five to ten seconds is still a big enough window of opportunity for a guy to get shanked (or something equally deadly) while trying to portal away. Just saying

I did think of that, however I am hoping people will have enough restraint to not meta-game, although, if it would make one feel better, I could imply a rule where I, as main/co-gm got to see the weaknesses by myself, and I'd only share them with other gms in order to establish if the character is balanced. I do think I, and Matt, have enough restraint not to meta.
