Sorry for my prolonged absence, I was moving all my stuff to a new room. And for quite some time I had no access to the internet.

The reason Valentus did not sense the Heresy Train was due to the Warp Disturbance, the very same one that brought the Necron to Tsubasa. I also thought it might not be smart to throw Valentus into a fight right now. He could handle 5 Chaos Marines with relative ease, even without his armour, but mutagens might form a problem. And he's rather psychically exhausted right now.

BTW Tiny, you mind if I throw some shit at Tor-6?

@thewizardguyI was under the impression that Grey Knights couldn't fall to the powers of Chaos. Or at least thats what I've been told.

Go ahead. I'd have to say, Tor-6 is better equipped to fight the warp than..really....the Imperium of man. Also, Space Marines are SUPER resistant to the warp's mutating powers. And Valentus would be nigh immune.

They can't be corrupted by Chaos. Or at the very least, not a single Grey Knight has been corrupted in the last 10.000 years. However, the Warp can kill them if they're not careful. The Warp is a dangerous and volatile thing, and if you channel too much of it the results can be devastating. An uncareful Psyker might explode, or be set on fire, or might find their body being spread across all of time and space. Hence why Valentus was gambling with his life.

I dunno. Their weaponry is massively inferior, and the only thing preventing a mass Chaos possession is the complete loyalty the humans of the Imperium have for their Emperor. The Dominion would find their civilians turning into Daemon en masse, their soldiers turning against them, madness and plague spreading through their ranks even as the Daemon tear into their more powerful units. They furthermore completely lack anti-Warp weaponry such as that boasted by the Grey Knights, and have no defence against the Warp Storm, which can devour entire worlds and rip apart solar systems.

Isn't he immune to psionic powers? So while he should be able to feel them 'bonking at the gates', so to speak, I don't think the psionic effects of the Warp Storm would do anything to him.

It's really windy, though, and most of the population is turning into horrifying, mutated monstrosities. Oh, and the bolts of lightning can pull things through dimensions, as well as having random psionic effects such as summoning Daemon or exploding shit.
