Aurora, The Land of Twilight and Falsities

In the middle of marbled floors stood a white robed young man with his eyes closed and the air gently brushing against him. Flashing before his very eyes, he could see it... see the very beings that he had to bring into this land and the world from where he had to draw them from. For a hundred years he has been practicing, studying, and focusing on this very image all for the sake of this very moment. The image he saw was at first the a great universe, one so vast and large that it seemed impossible to comprehend.

Luci atque umbris convenerant audient vocem conditor et solvere signacula eius impositum mundo.

As he chanted, the image became more clear and focused, descending upon a set of planets in a system that looked as if he could touch it if he simply reached out to grasp it.

Praestante penes me inducam in mundum ut occideres et renovare.

The world was young, yet beautiful... unlike the one that he lived in now. He could see things so very familiar yet so very different compared to his own. There were no elves, dwarves, or even dragons... things that were common and well-known were but fairy tales in this world that he was reaching out towards.

Renovare. Renovare. Renova sequi ... et venit aestus super filios animalium Noir conditoris.

A world the same, yet so vastly different... one filled with innovations of all kinds and a single apex race... yet no prominent God that shows itself if there was to be one. Everyone had freedom and willpower to do as they pleased...

His autem qui inseritur benedictio imaginem agedum mundum commutabit.

Then, he saw them. He saw those that had traces of His Essence... the Essence of the Maker. For a moment, he was there and he could sense the very foundations of the planet itself upon the soles of his shoes. He could taste the air, smell the sweets of goods, and feel sense of freedom that the life had on this planet... and with all of his power and might, he brought them with him back to his own world... along with grabbing a little something for himself.

Filii terra!

As the young man robed in white finished chanting, he opened his eyes and smiled with his hand outstretched. The ritual was completed and thus, the world changed once more...

A ritual, one unlike any other... one that required a century to master, was performed and upon its completion, it broke the very boundaries of the world of Aurora and brought beings that were capable of changing the very foundation of the realm.

All over the world of Aurora, beacons of crimson light flared up as the ritual tore apart the very fabrics that kept this world and the one next door to it separated. What this World needed again, was the return of beings... beings that despite everything never gave up, were capable of changing and growing, were weak but were also strong of heart and mind, and would be capable of changing Aurora for better or for worst. What the world hadn't realized, but the God of Technology had, was that the Human Race despite being weak was in fact incredibly strong in their means of survival, that they would do anything if it meant to survive and protect those that they love and care about... or if it meant to pursue and preserve their own happiness.

So what better way than to bring back the race of humans... but stronger, and with an even greater sense of purpose?

This, was what this ritual was for- to bring those that The Maker's remaining essence deemed worthy from Earth into Aurora and gift them with the powers that best suite them, along with the ability to grow stronger.

This, is the beginning of their story...

Onboard Lovos, The Titan of the Skies

“Quickly, we do not have time to dilly dally! We must get in contact with the others. Activate the crystals at once!”

A bright orange spark flashed among the cove of crystals as the spellblades behind the white-robed young man snapped their fingers, and two hooded images flickered about before taking form in front of the one who spoke. Immediately, the red-robed figure spoke in a hurried tone.

“Have you finished the ritual, Master?”

“But of course! I take it you two have finished with preparing the defenses at your locations in case the Scions are to retaliate?”

“Yes. Although, we noticed that due to the circumstances that you spoke of and without our assistance, none of the Chosen weren’t summoned at our location… we suspect that some of them are still on our respective Titans, however…” spoke the blue one before sighing and nodding towards the red one.

“However, we believe that their powers aren’t what we expected. Even though we used The Maker’s essence that you provided, Master, we don’t think their current powers will be enough to help us… nor do we think we will be able to control them like how Tetram is with the Scions.”

“Of course not, the Maker’s Essence was only to bring them here and unlock their potential, not to bind them to our will as mindless puppets.”

“…Then what was the point of bring them here!?” shouted the blue one.

“A gamble; they have the potential now to grow stronger and learn anything that they wish… That, is the power of those who do not belong here, along with the ability of free will. Many of us forgot both The Maker’s and the Council of the Six Saints teachings, and that was to live happily with a sense of free will…” murmured the white-robed man as he smiled to no one in particular. “Now that the world has those who are capable of such things, whether it changes for the worst or the best will no longer be up to us, but them- those who are blessed with the Essence of The Maker.”

The other two grew silent as their Master spoke, before nodding in slight hesitation. “But was it wise to summon them without reaching Kael’valtar, first?” asked the red one as they lifted their head.

“Yes… for I believe danger is approaching all three of us at this very instant. I can hear the sound of Tetram and his Scions moving… almost as if they’re aware of what we are doing. I’ve already sent out the Dragonriders to scout the area, as should you both. Double up on the parameters of the Titans, while having the others prepared just in case.”

“Yes, Master.”

In unison the two spoke and nodded their head, before the crystals faded out and their images disappeared. Frowning a bit, the white-robed man turned around before being followed by the tense elven Spellblades at his side. The man couldn’t help but smile in retaliation; of course they would be tense, they were of course protecting a God, a duty that couldn’t be taken lightly for a second. Still, while he was of course positive that most of the attacks would come for him while he was onboard the great Titan Lovos, he couldn’t help but worry about his two apprentices. They were still in-training and new to the bloodshed.

Walking down the corridor with the Spellblades by his side, the God just thought back to his previous deductions: the Six Saints aren’t dead… there were no bodies, nor were their traces of them being killed or anything… and his recent discovery just helped to solidify his theory. However, if they weren’t dead, then what happened to them? It was due to this recent discovery that he decided to have the Maker’s Chosen summoned earlier than planned, along with take the position on top of the Titan Lovos himself.

“Lord Cherin!” spoke a rattled tan orc as he charged towards the God, practically out of breath. It was clear that he had ran quite a while, despite the heavy armor he wore and the massive axe upon his back that as roughly the length of himself.

“Yes, Gukmar? What is it… and why are you so tired?”

“Not important… What is, is that Scions approach with Dragoons. Eighteen Dragoons in total, along with about fifty Harrier ships. They’ll be here in approximately four hours. We also received reports that the Titans Kormog and Gorlock have Scions approaching them as well, with similar numbers. We believe that they are aiming to take down the Titans while also look for you, Sir.”

A small smile emerged, before he nodded. “It’s been about… Three and a half hours since the summoning… You have three hours to find the ones I summoned upon Lovos and convince them to help us. Do not use force, but reason, Gukmar. Relay to my apprentices and have them do the same on their respective Titans. If they refuse to help us, that is fine- just find them a safe place in the meantime since things will be getting pretty nasty fairly soon.”

Gukmar’s eyes twitched a bit, not too certain about the orders he received, but nonetheless nodded in confirmation. He wasn’t about to argue with a God of all people, and instead went to carry out the orders given to him.

“Now then, what will you do… oh humans of Earth?” murmured Cherin underneath his breath, so low that only he could hear, before smiling an eerie smile as he placed a single Earth candy into his mouth.

Within the Valleys on Lovos

Tsukino Rin, Mabel Ruline, Kyōkai Hana

Hours have passed since you all were brought upon the rough-looking ground before you, with various animals of all kind passing by. Despite the bursts of strong winds and the strange winged beasts soaring above, you are certain that whatever you are on is no longer the world from whence you came. The three of you were together, and decided to travel as a group for now, since who would dare to adventure in this strange new land by themselves?

Every so often, were you to look away, you might notice that large mountainous pillars might move ever so softly, almost as if they were alive... perhaps this new strange world is in constant movement, or perhaps you are not on a world at all, but on a living thing?

No matter the case, you haven't seen another human being besides the ones who were with you... Perhaps it is time to get to know one another? Surely now while there is still light out and the animals are off doing their own thing you can let your guard down.

Whatever you three do, it is up to you whether you stay or explore... although, do be careful of the wind...

Within the Forests on Gorlock

Fiona Swanhilde, Tamaki Asagami, Chloe Richards

The beautiful humming of birds fills your ears as you explore this strange forest that is clearly not of Earth. You've seen monkeys with three-tails, deer with scales, and even birds that look as if they could lift up small children!

Whatever kind of world you were brought into, its clear that you're far from home and you wont be getting back anytime soon.

Suddenly, you can hear the sound of rushing water as you enter a clearing- a river going into a massive lake. Having explored the forest for a good few hours, finding a source of water is a miracle. There you find multiple trees with a plethora of strange fruit, whether or not they are edible is up for debate. You also come across a mighty stag with strange reptilian hooves and mighty antlers drinking from the lake as it stands over the water with fur unlike any other creature.

It pauses for a moment, staring at you with a face like that of a humanoid's before smiling softly and returning to drink its fill. You can't help but feel as if you are all intruding, but the creature doesn't seem to mind your presence, and is instead welcoming you all to rest.

Might as well take this opportunity to relax and resupply... or do whatever it is that you may wish to do. Perhaps get to know one another? The choices are yours...

Within the Mountains on Kormog

Shill, Arimax "Max" Johnson, Filip De Veen

Out of all the places to be brought into... you three were brought inside of a living volcano- both figuratively and literally.

You've seen centipedes made out of molten magma crawl their way out of the pits of lava while scurrying off into corners to huddle and lay eggs, small little drake looking things with singular horns napping in what you assume to be nests, and crabs actually peeking out of the lava to look at you as you walk by.

Water would be rather lovely right about now, considering the place is burning hot. None the less, you can occasionally hear the sounds of something be spewed out... almost like smoke being let out from somewhere in rapid session, or steam from a vent of sorts.

Whatever the source is, it may be your only way out of here... but, it would seem that you have come towards a large metal door with nowhere else to go for now. You could perhaps break it down, or knock? Though, it does look far too sturdy for any of you to break it... and the path back is steaming yet again.

Whatever you three decide, better do it quick before you start dehydrating.

Kael’valtar, The City of Soaring Hopes

Darius Jacks, Joel Johnson, Mana Nagata

To awaken within a church after being brought into a strange new land is quite a predicament... especially when the church is deathly quiet and empty besides those who awoke with you. The doors leading out are lock, and you've been stuck inside for a while now... maybe a few hours at the most, but you can tell by the windows that you're not in an ordinary city. Looking out, you can see creatures walking about that were in fairy tales as a child... things that clearly shouldn't exist even... yet here they are, walking around and living their lives as if it were normal.

The sound of roaring dragons even echo above, signaling the sound of ferries and warriors returning from adventures from on far.

The whole site is simply as if it were a fantasy... yet you are certain that it is real... right? None of this could be a dream?

The church is beautiful and unlike anything you've ever seen, sculpted and constructed out of material that would surely cost a fortune. Heck, even at the chapel there stands a statue of a creature of some sort of imposing hooded being with his arms stretched wide. His face looks human, yet his physique is something entirely... not only that, but you can just feel that he isn't normal either.

Whatever the case is, it seems you're stuck for now... whatever you decide to do is up to you three.

Halls of the Fallen Saints

Valair Androda, 'Glaive', Rena Smith

Cold.

That's all that you can describe or think as you all trot down the hall. You all awoke a while now in place with no doors, windows or anything... except in a place completely underground where there be no light. Nothing but the freezing chill of frost and the shining glimmer ice is what keeps this place illuminated.

For whatever reason, this has been the only path that actually leads anywhere... besides, of course, climbing up, but the pillars of ice just keep on going up into the skies that you can't help but feel that it would be completely pointless.

However, your journey is not for naught, for you eventually come to a chamber of statues of six strange statues... Each vastly different compared to the other. They all line up along the room in a circular pattern, facing a door in the middle standing by itself that leads... no where? Who would build a door in the middle of the room that just heads to no where?

Were you to look around, you would see that there is no other path to go... and that the way you came from has suddenly disappeared. Whatever kind of place this is, it seems that you're stuck here till your doom.

You might as well get used to one another, or figure something out... because you all are going to be here for a while.

"It just goes on... and on..." says Rin in a soft voice as she looks off to the distance... a long branch she had pulled off a tree serving as her only tool on this strange place. She had been startled by how easily she had seemed to be able to pull it off... however, not exactly surprised. Something had changed when she came to this place... and in her heart of hearts, she felt certain of a few things.

This was not their world.

They were not the same as before.

They were invited upon this place.

The details of it are foggy in her usually crystal clear mind... it had all happened as if in a dream. And before she knew it, she no longer was about to doze off on the car back from her lessons... she was upon this great, alien valley.

With them.

Rin looked back at the two girls that had awakened at her side. They had not spoken much at first... surrounded by animals they had kept their mouths shut and then kept walking. However... sooner or later they would need to speak "Tsukino Rin. That's my name"

"This clearly is nothing like home." Mana whispered to herself as she took a look at her surroundings, she took a look out and saw these... fantasy creatures of some sort. She was wearing her the hood of her hoodie on her head, her green hair hung down with her fringe going over her eyes, her red eyes peering around the place. She looked towards the door before she noticed people who were with her, they seemed human but... from what she saw out there they could just be in a disguise of some sort. She looked at a boy with blonde hair, who looked somewhat innocent before she took a look over to the one with brown hair and freckles on their face. She stepped up off the ground before standing and looking at the surrounding building, noticing the expensive-looking furniture and construction of the place.

"Where the hell are we?" Mana said as her voice echoed throughout the chapel, she took a look over to the mysterious looking statue to see the strange design of it. A creatures body and the head of a man? What is this place? Mana thought before she noticed the others starting to wake up, she reached into her pockets for her knuckled knives before holding them up in self defense.

"Who are you? And what are you?" Mana asked the two of them, she somewhat glared at them before a roar of a dragon was heard from above, she was started by it by looking up. "Dragons as well?" Mana said before she looked back at them.

Shill wiped her brow of the sweat forming there, dissatisfied with the lack of relief it offered. Her sleeves and pants had been rolled up to the midway, though she kept the scarf tight around her neck and stuffed down her shirt. Didn't want to risk burning it on anything in here, certainly didn't look like it would be too hard. Each step on the rocky ground sent heat through her soles, and every time she let her arms still the air would cling to them and make her sweat more. So she kept herself moving, if only slightly, bouncing on the balls of her feet, gently swaying her arms too and fro, and occasionally checking the pocket watch. Not for the time of course, she had no idea what time it was, but rather to see the seconds pass. One, two, three, four, right now the only relevant time was how long they'd be in this place.

Speaking of, she turned her attention from the door to her two companions, if they could be called as such. The larger was quite something, tall and well built, with plenty of jewelry dotting his skin. Shill couldn't bring herself to get piercings, something about needles, and yet here this man had so many. He must be brave, surely, she thought, and was happy to be allied with someone like him. At least for the time being, anyway.

The slighter one looked not too much older than herself. Shill couldn't help but admire his wardrobe, elegant and fancy. Were she not an errant soul, she might have liked to dress like that. Plus, his hair was colored, like her own, and she made a mental note to try the "brown and blonde" combination one day.

However they had more pressing matters to attend to, like the heat, the door, and their escape. While getting out as quickly as possible would be the preferable option, it was after all a door, and someone could very well be dwelling behind it. Provided they could charge it down, would they intrude on someone else? Or perhaps they'd discover something. Either way, the path back no longer appeared to be an option, so that left them only the door. Her lips pursed, hands resting on her hips as she cast a glance over her shoulder.

"Well fellas, whatcha think? Should we knock first? Wouldn't want to be rude or anything," she said, placing a hand upon the metal. As expected, it was hot, but her palm was covered by the leather bracer and spared her skin from being burned. "Definitely feels thick, like a vault. Maybe there's a lock somewhere?"

As she crouched down to inspect the door, Shill remembered her manners, smacking her forehead in embarrassment. "Sorry that's rude of me, all in a hurry and what not. I'm Shill, it's nice to meet you two. Do kinda wish it was under better circumstances though."

“Wasn’t expecting to deal with these temperatures for a couple months,” Valair muttered to himself as he watched his breath fog up. Now most people would probably be freaking the fuck out at having gone from their morning commute to frozen hell. Valair had remarkable self-control, but that alone couldn’t have possibly allowed him to accept all this without batting an eye. So what was his secret? Well a combination of the cold literally slapping him across the face, the realization that panicking would probably led to a quick death by hypothermia, and the undeniable sensations that no, the temperature was not a figment of his imagination. Hell, he could feel the beads of sweat begin to freeze against his skin.

Thus rather than run around like a headless chicken in a panic, Valair took a few deep breaths to calm down and then analyzed the situation as best as he could. First off, he wasn’t alone but had two companions. For one of them he quickly shrugged off his jacket and held it out for her to take. “Here.” He shivered a bit at the loss of a layer of clothing, but it passed quickly as he now spoke to both of them. “Name’s Valair Androda, but for now let’s get a move on it.” Blunt introduction aside, he spun about, and began the trek down the only path he could see. A few steps and he paused to fish out the water bottle from his backpack, figuring it would be better to drink it before it cooled down too much. “Any of you want some?” he offered to the other two as he continued along his way.

Aside from that he didn’t bother to waste his breath until the three of them reached the odd chamber, their path disappearing as they stepped inside the room. The six statues were of interest, but naturally the out of place door was what caught Valair’s attention. Unsure of what to do now that there wasn’t simply a path forward, he turned to the other two and asked, “Try the door or check out the statues?”

How long had they been there? Thirty minutes? A few hours? A day?

Darius wasn’t sure what exactly was going on, but at the same time, he realized that it didn’t exactly matter. The first few hours in this place of worship was spent in silence, as he devoured all the details of this place. It wasn’t Earth, at least not as he knew it, and his bare feet, despite the marble floor and the chill in the air, weren’t cold at all. His mind gave him an abundance of ways in which he could have gotten into this world, from a hallucination to hypnosis to vivid dreams to dimension-slipping to whatever else, but that also didn’t matter. The ‘how’ wasn’t anything worth thinking about. Nor was ‘why’. Or ‘where’. Or ‘who’.

The only question worth considering was ‘what’.

There were dragons. There were adventurers. There were fairy tale creatures. There was beauty that could not exist in modern society. There was a wholly incomprehensible world out there, and he had just spent three hours not even talking to the other two humans stuck in the same position as him. It was honestly sorta…

“Christ, am I fucking lobotomized?” Darius shook his head, clearing away all the unnecessary, pointless trash that had filled up in it. Standing up and clenching his fist, the brown-haired youth pounded his fist against the window of the church, not with the intention of breaking it, but for the sake of catching the attention of anyone walking outside.

Punctuated by each meaty thump, he replied, “Name. Is. Darius. Jacks. Stop. Thinking. So. Much. And. Do. Shit.”

Of course, by not thinking, he totally discarded the idea that, perhaps, the residents of this adventurous town could be xenophobic man-eating monsters, but hey, fear of failure was the worst!

@Guilty Spark @Zombehs ((It was only now I realized I mentioned myself...))

Suddenly being ripped away from her peaceful morning rituals didn't... well do wonders for Rena. Fortunately she was made from sterner stuff although she wasn't completely fine, oh no that was far from the truth, but she wasn't about to allow for the others to catch onto this fact. She knew very little, and hell everything seemed just so unreal, now the cold was a different story. The frosty air easily sliced right through her clothes, a suit jacket really didn't offer that much protection. Rena wasn't sure if he was a mind reader, but it was then one of her brand new companions offered his coat, now... she certainly wasn't about to turn him down. She was curt with her response, "Thanks." She slipped the article of clothing on, honestly it wasn't much, but she could appreciate the gesture, still she had to wonder why a total stranger literately gave the clothes on his back. Strange.

Mr. Gentleman introduced himself, Valair was an interesting name that's for sure. "Well, I'm Rena... guess we're all stuck together huh?" The gentleman seemed unwilling to sit around as he imminently went for the nearest way out, actually the only way out. When he asked if they wanted water Rena shook her head, it felt weird enough to take this man's jacket as is.

When they reached the chamber with the statues and their previous path disappeared, Rena was more than just a little concerned, but again she didn't express as much, besides this place was not normal that much was obvious. Valair jumped right to questioning that lone door to nowhere, but Rena had other priorities. "I don't think we should be poking around just yet, actually starting a fire or something else could be a good idea." She thought about this already, turns out they did have fuel to use; a briefcase of finance forums, in a life or death situation she could let go of many nights' worth of work. Rena sat down on the iced over ground, and then popped open the case to show it's contents. "Any of you have a lighter?"

Max |@MonkeyBusiness@Mcmolly

Max stared blankly at the hellscape before him; not really sure how to proceed, he sat on the blistering ground and tried his damnedest to process what he was experiencing.

Heat.

That was a start. It was certainly hotter than the air-conditioned taxi that he'd been in.

Confinement

While the space he was in wasn't overtly small, his body felt enclosed. That feeling of being on a boat or airplane with no sense of control over where you were going and thus stuck.

Fear

This was different; Max had always told himself he was the best of the best, one to take on challenges without hesitation. Alas he was a rational human, 2 of the prerequisites of cowards. His breathing became short, pupils dilating and cold sweat as opposed to the controlled perspiration of the body cooling itself. As he looked upon the unearthly sights about him, his mind wavered, and he wanted to just crawl inside himself.
He hadn't. He simply got up, something inside him was hotter than this hell and he realized he was angry. Angry at himself firstly, chastising his apparent stupidity vehemently. Then just generally angry, at the stupid rocks, stupid heat, stupid giant centipedes. He threw a punch at a rock. He hadn't noticed that his fist was unscathed, nor that the rock had been pulverized.

As the space around him trembled and his mind came back to him he finally noticed that he was not alone. 2 others were here, one still unreacted the other he was sure had asked a question, and while muted to Max had offered a greeting, nonchalant of the whole situation. How was some pansy looking man, no -a boy- taking this simply by stride. He became angry yet again, and grabbed the boy by the scruff of the neck and threatened,

"You better explain real quick why I'm here and why I shouldn't break your face on that rock."

"Mabel." The taller girl with black fingernails spoke softly, her voice not quite matching her face.

She was expressionless for now, the fact that she was no longer surrounded by criminals at the Card House put her mind at ease despite the setting. Howling gusts whipping past her, turning and twisting mountains, this whole area seemed like something an overly imaginative seventeen year old would describe. Nonetheless, she was really here now, the very earth beneath her feet painted that picture clear.

Mabel's hands retreated into her pockets, her posture stiffened, and then came the small shivers. The wind wasn't just strong, it was cold, though not enough to cause her to fret. But it was still daytime, Mabel brewed the thought in her head, "It gets colder at night, we have no idea where we are, no idea on what the climate or weather conditions of this place is." The last of her thoughts escaped her mind, finding their way out her lips.

"What wildlife lives here, I don't know?" She muttered out loud, dipping her head down in submission and confusion.

It wasn't any secret that there were several unknown species of flying creatures in the skies around and above them. Occassionally releasing shrill cries through the looming canopy of thin white clouds shrouding a great deal of them from sight. The constant mockery finally caught Mabel's attention, she turned to Rin, and then narrowed her eyes at the grisly looking girl.

"Shelter, fire, what would you guys like to do?" She quietly asked, bringing her hands from their pockets to grip at the midsection of her shirt.

Despite just waking up, Joel could instantly tell something was very wrong. He couldn't feel the normal dankness of the coal mine, nor was his back on the cold hard dirt floor of said mine. For as long as he could remember, those two things had been constants as he woke up to him, so to have them both suddenly gone got his attention and fast. Jolting up, he quickly saw that he was in some strange building, and not the coal mines. There were also two other kids he didn't recognize here with him. But even with all of that, there was something else that stood out to him 'the guards are gone.' With that sudden realization, he bolted to his feet in search of an exit. Finding what looked like a door, he rushed at it...only to find it locked. "Come on! Open. Open. Open! I've waited too long to see the sky, I'm sure as hell not letting a door stand in my way! He cried out as he struggled to open the door. Deciding to take a different approach, he reached for his hand cranked drill, which was fastened to his waist. Taking it in his hands, he got to work drilling a hole in it "fine, you want to play rough? I can play rough." In his zealous need to get outside, he had completely forgotten about the others with him

Hana was silent. She hadn't spoken a single word since coming to this place. She had made certain not to have eye-contact with another person. She really didn't want another person to look at her or the scars on her face. Though, one of the girls did manage to look at her scarred face multiple times.

One of the girls asked a simple question. What was your name? Hana didn't really have a full name. Of course, she did have a full name documented by the government, she simply didn't remember it. Hana was always called Hana by the priest and the nuns. Without even so much as eye-contact with another person near, Hana began to speak. "Kyōkai Hana."

Her voice was quiet and tired. Each syllable had been stretched out.

Then the second and third question came from the second girl, Mabel. The second question was more rhetorical than the third. The third was important. How would they survive in this harsh climate? In all honesty, Hana didn't know. All she had were basic school teachings like arithmetic and language, and what the nunnery had taught her.

Hana began to think. If it was extremely windy, what would she try to do? If it was extremely windy, Hana would hide inside of the church to get out of the wind.

"Shelter..." She said, her voice still quiet and weary. Though, each syllable wasn't stretched out for as long.

This place filled with magma and strange creatures was a sharp contrast to Amsterdam. The first hour after waking up in this place was a complete shock to Filip and he did not know how to react to the whole situation. Luckily it seemed that he was not the only one that had been dragged to this place as he had found two others that seemed to be just as confused as he was.

He couldn't put his finger on what felt different about himself but he knew that something may have been changed within him making him act slightly more rational than he should be right now. The former resident of earth could barely see through the thick smoke as he looked behind in to see of there was another way around this door but to no avail.

"Definitely feels thick, like a vault. Maybe there's a lock somewhere?"

"Sorry that's rude of me, all in a hurry and what not. I'm Shill, it's nice to meet you two. Do kinda wish it was under better circumstances though."

Filip smiled towards the smaller of his traveling companions has he thought over what he had said about the door. Maybe they should knock on the door couldn't hurt to just try and see what would happen. He was about to let them know his thoughts when suddenly the larger of the pair grabbed Shill by the scarf and was threatening to beat him up.

"Come on now. I don't see a reason why we need to fight right now. We are all in the same boat here it would seem and none of us have the answers that you want. Which is why we work together and at least knock on his door to see what happens. It couldn't hurt to try."

Filip said with a friendly smile as he tried to get the man to calm down and become level headed. Though he was trying to be friendly he was slightly tense as he was preparing himself if the man did attempt to come at him instead and it seemed as those the smaller animals in the area were now watching the event.

Rin frowned lightly at the two girls that made up her company on this strange new world. One tall, with dark nails and dark hair and even more cloudy, dark attitude. Mabel. The other one was a bigger mess still... near refusing eye contact, covered in that cloak and with those wounds... Kyoukai...

Rin nearly shook her head... she didn't like their attitude in this. Not one bit. Even if, hypocritically, the tone of their voices and brevity were quite close to hers. Still, she may not know where they were, what they were to do and feel cold... but Rin walked proudly and stubbornly forward while the last two seemed to follow with gazes kept downwards.

Shelter... well, it wasn't a completely unwarranted concern. They had walked a long while now and had yet to find anyone but the strange animals, no buildings, just the stretching valley. Letting out a little sigh, Rin looked at the two again, tapping the floor with her stick as she spoke with an authoritative tone of voice "We find wood then, Mabel, Kyoukai. Grab as much as you can and then we gather all of it here. Understood?" she asks, giving no space for retorts as the young lady moves with purpose towards a nearby tree... with a high jump, higher than she expected, grabbing onto a thin branch, gritting her teeth a little as she pulls to break it... and thus, without her support falling flat on her butt with the piece of wood in hand.

Hmmg... tsk... groans lightly Rin as she bites her lip in annoyance and stands up, looking again at Mabel and Hana, lifting the branch and then dropping it at their feet.

Shivering slightly in the cold, Adam wondered for the hundredth time where in the hell he was. All he could remember was a jarring transition from behind the wheel to standing in the snow, and now walking through this giant, frozen corridor. He had considered some sort of head wound or amnesia might have made him forget whatever journey had brought him here, but that didn’t make any sense. Besides feeling fine, he was still wearing his work clothes and lived hundreds of miles from anywhere this cold. I wish I’d been working in the freezer today, he thought, recalling the heavy coats that freezer workers wore. Instead, he was wearing a short-sleeved blue shirt and black pants, which were hardly made for handling anything colder than an AC.

The other two didn’t seem to know where they were either, and he got the impression that they all shared similar circumstances, particularly given the tall guy’s muttered comment. Nice to know there are still good people, he thought, nodding appreciatively as he handed the woman his jacket. Adam would have done the same if he had more than the shirt on his back. “Adam Holt, and I suppose we are,” he said, in response to their introductions. “And no thanks, if we’re stuck here I’d rather not drink it until I need it.

Following Valair and Rena seemed like the best idea, they might as well stick together given the linear nature of the hall. When they reached the chamber at the end his eyes widened in response to the statues, and it was several moments before he noticed the lone door. It was clear the sculptures were crafted by incredibly skilled artists, and he would have been eager to take a closer look at them in better circumstances. For now, he decided not to stray from the others. When Rena opened up her briefcase to start a fire, Adam shook his head.

A fire made of paper wouldn’t last long enough to be useful. It’d be better if we saved it as kindling until we found some sort of wood,” turning to Valair he continued. “I’m not sure there’s any point in checking out the door that’s standing on its own. The statues might tell us where we are though?” Scratching his head in thought, he decided that cutting his hair so short had been a mistake.

Mabel looked at Rin with a rather flat expression, several words were coming to mind but it really wasn't worth it. Instead she set her eyes on Hana, waving her hand at the ominous girl, beckoning her to follow.

"Come on, there's a forest a little east of here. We're not going to be able to build the luxury suite this princess wants with twigs." Her tone had a hint of sympathy to it, as she set her eyes back on Rin once again, squinting.

To the east, less than a mile away, a large accumilation of grey-green trees sat patiently. No they didn't have axes, or any hefty tools to hew lumber, but it was probably the best place nearby to find a larger sum of wood.

“I’m with Adam. Like he said, it’s going to be a very short fire. Still, there should be a Zippo in one of the inner pockets if you insist.” Valair shrugged as he placed the mostly empty water bottle back into his backpack and walked towards the center of the room. It had been readily apparent that the carvings differed from one another immensely, but standing in front of them really showed how little they resembled one another.

Though he studied them for a few moments, eventually his attention turned to the oddity among an already odd situation. He paced around the door to nowhere once, tapped its frame, and tried to open it from either side. Either side worked, but both failed to lead anywhere. Disappointed, he turned away from the door for now and focused on the statues like Adam had suggested.

At the same time, he tried to start up a bit of conversation to break the chilly silence. “Figure we might as well introduce ourselves some more. High school teacher here. Guessing you’re either in law or business, Rena? Sorry, no idea for you Adam.” Between the two of them, Adam’s attire didn’t give away much; it could have as easily been an uniform or just cheap clothes. On the other hand, well there weren’t all that many jobs that involved nice suits and suitcases filled with documents.

"Hey blonde, take a look out the window, this isn't home." Mana said with a cold voice as she finally got a reply of a name from the freckled boy, she raised an eyebrow at him before putting away her knuckled knives and placing them into the pockets of her hoodie. "You want out? Take a look at the creatures outside and they might want to take a chomp outta you." Mana said to him as he continued to bash the window which was slightly irritating to Mana's ears.

She took a look over to what the blonde was doing, he was drilling the door? Mana's eyebrows raised in confusion as the loud noise of drilling was heard. Guess I have to yell to get his name. Mana thought to herself before walking over to him and somewhat glaring at him.

"Hey blonde? I didn't quite catch your name." Mana somewhat yelled throughout the drilling process hoping for the blonde to have heard her, another roar of a dragon was heard about as she looked up.

Something sparked deep down inside of Shill when the man snatched her up. She didn’t know what it was, but it was bred of fear and the urge to escape was quick to rush through her veins. Immediately she repressed it, the feeling was unnerving enough on its own without being let to grow. Was this a product of her arrival here, or had she always carried such troubling worries?

Her silence may very well have earned her a beating, but thankfully the slighter young man spoke up, trying to reason out the situation. Her hands went up open-palmed in surrender, and she hoped the sword’s presence at her side wouldn’t be seen as a threat. It was sheathed and she planned to keep it just so, especially against people, and especially against people who could likely be friends.

"He's right, I'm just as lost as you are, friend. No need to be breaking anyone's face just yet, promise," she said, offering a smile to the larger man. "What’re your names? Can’t hurt to know who we’re workin’ with.”

Max gritted his teeth, this whole situation still pissed him the fuck off, but as he can tell they seem to be on the same boat as him. He sighed and let the kid go, while staring down the other man.

"Ight, ight, Fine. Whatever. But fuck introductions, I don't wanna take this little 'partnership' any further than It has to, for now: you're PansyBoy and FunkyColors and I'm the idiot for trusting you." He resigned to stare intently at the door avoiding eye contact as he tried to metaphorically cool off.

"It's just a fucking door!" He gave strong and resounding thumps with his fist. "Ain't no gaddamn knob either!~ HEY 'Nbody on the other side!" He waited for a response then turned back to the others behind him.

Filip smiled as the big guy let go of the younger one before turning back toward the door. It seemed that he understood they were all in the same situation and there was nothing that could be done for that. At least they had survived the moment and hadn't killed each other just yet. "Now see that wasn't very hard. I am Filip by the way not funky colors."

Filip was starting to feel the need for some water as his throat was starting to dry out and the smoke started to press in on them every so slightly. That was when he saw a small red lizard creature around his feet and point in the direction of the door with it's tongue flicking in and out. It appeared to be some sort of salamander but he could not figure out the reason why it seemed to want to help them at all.

"There has to be someone on the other side of that door. It doesn't seem right for someone to just build a giant metal door in a place like this and leave it alone. Speaking of which where the hell are we in the first place. One minute I was in Amsterdam enjoying myself and than suddenly I end up in a freaking volcano." The blond haired man wondered out loud as he bent down to pick up the small creature. For some reason he just got a friendly vibe from the salamander as he picked it up and noticed instead of a slimy texture the thing was warm to the touch and seemed to radiate heat.
