[IC] Forgotten History

[Thorned Hammer]

Marcus had come out of the trance like state a little, just enough to realize the water was creeping further up his chest and near his shoulders. He hesitated, glancing down anxiously and baulking slightly at the prospect of not being able to touch the ground. of all that space that would just come up under it. He could get lost inthat, or something could be down there waiting. There were all sorts of sea monsters and predators in the waves, he'd read about them, they-
Then he looked up again and at her. Swallowing his anxiety, Marcus nodded and let out a deep breath before continuing after her. "Okay," He said with a steady nod. "Okay, I wont panic,"

[Rose]

Her smile grew when she saw him trying. Something he had no desire to do, yet he's doing simply because she asked. Briefly she thought about her life without him, she didn't like the idea at all. He has become her best friend and she was thankful for that. "your doing great" she commended him.

Marcus's laugh was maybe a bit to high and a bit to shrill, but he laughed all the same as he continued to unevenly tred water. Over and over again he'd think he had it and could relax but would quickly find himself moving lower and panic, splashing about a bit before steadying out again. It was a vicious cycle but he endured it. "Is this, is this all there is to swimming?" He asked, raising his chin in fear of filling his mouth with salt water.

[Rose]

Rin laughed along. "Well, it's not quite everything but it's the basic. If you can even float or tred water then you'll never swim." She explained as nicely as possible. In front of him she treded the water seamlessly. Her arms and feet moving just enough to keep her balanced and afloat. "Try moving your arms and legs slow and steady, instead of quickly when you start to sink. " She suggested.

"What, like this?". Marcus attempted to mimic her but found it to be much harder then it looked. Despite his attempts to keep his head up, he ended up with a mouthful of salt water which he spat out in disgust and proceeded to complain about.

[Rose]

Slowly Rin moved closer to him. "Not so choppy, try to do it more slowly and smoothly. It honestly helps if you don't think about it so hard." She instructed him. Flicking her head back she tried to move away wet strands of hair from her face. She felt her heart beat quicken when she moved closer to Marcus.

[Thorned Hammer]

"How can I not? I'm in the damn ocean!". Mumbled Marcus as he coughed again, trying to clear his lungs. He grabbed at Rin to try and get some balance, clearly not doing as well as he had hoped

[Rose]

After what must have been another hour or two Marcus's swimming had greatly improved. Both him and Rin were beginning to wear out though. So they swam back to shore. As Rin walked from the water her soft wet skin glistened in the moon light. Suddenly she felt cold, her breasts firming up from the chilly night air. Suddenly feeling slightly awkward she tried to cover herself, but wasn't able to contain her womanly assets with her arms. Her silky wet hair clinged to her shoulders and back. Her blue eyes looked as Marcus emerged from the water, his whole body exposed to her. She felt a strange sensation rush through her body, her cheeks blushing. "I really am proud of how well you did." She told him.

"Well that makes one of us,". Sighed Marcus, walking onto the beach with a less then happy expression. That changed though, and when he caught Rin's look he hesitated before raking his fingers through his salt stiff hair.
He'd grown a great deal since they had first met, and not only in height. He had filled out more, where he had once been thin and lanky he was now lean and toned. Taught like a whip cord with his tattoo standing out starkly against faintly tanned skin.

[Rose]

Stepping across the sand Rin made her way closer to Marcus, her body trembling lightly. "Hey, you did great. No, you didn't master it and you still have a long way to go. But you tried, and put a lot of effort into it. That makes me proud. Thank you for trying..." She trailed off. Her hand drifted out to his arm, resting softly on his muscular bicep. She looked down, then back up, locking eyes with him. Like a little fidget she rubbed the top of her foot against the back of her leg.

Marcus flushed at her compliments, mumbling a bit awkwardly into his shoulder before sending her a quick smile. Then he found himself caught in her blue gaze again, unable to look away even when he felt her fingers on his arm. Hesitantly he turned his hand to brush his fingers over the arm she'd reached out almost like he was worried she'd pull away.

[Rose]

Her heart racing, breath choppy, Rin's hand tightened around Marcus' arm. Her whole body quivering in anticipation, but of what? Her thoughts were sporadic, she wanted something from him but she wouldn't allow herself to realize what it was she wanted. Like a static cling she felt herself being drawn in to him. All she wanted was to be closer, to touch him. Her senses were alive like never before and she hung on the edge waiting for his next action. "I uh..." She stammered, not sure of what to say. She was nervous, yet never wanted the moment to end.

His skin tingled not unpleasantly where she touched him and without much though Marcus pulled her in a little bit closer till she was flush against his chest. Then before he could think himself out of it, he tilted his head and caught her in a kiss.

[Rose]

A surge of excitement rushed through her body like electricity as her bare chest pressed against his. Her eyes filled with anticipation as he leaned in to her. As his lips touched her's she felt her legs go weak, like he was melting her. A static charge of energy bounced around within her. With pure pleasure her eyes rolled back and then closed softly, her whole body relaxing into his arms. Gently she pushed forward into his kiss.

Relief was the first thing he felt, relief that the most important person in his world hadn't pushed him away and was in fact kissing him back. His skin felt overheated as he wrapped his arms around her now, drinking her in and for a moment forgetting they were standing naked on the beach. It didn't matter, Rin mattered.

[Rose]

Arms around his shoulders, hands in his hair, Rin felt herself slip away. Away from all of life's worries and weights. None of that mattered now. Nothing but Marcus mattered in this very moment. The more she felt his body against her's the more excited she became. Most in this situation would worry what this meant, what would come next. But that didn't matter to her, he was her best friend and she knew he wouldn't leave her. Anything beyond that simply wasn't important right now. Her muscles clenched slightly as the kissing grew more passionate.

Marcus was forced to break away for a second to suck down a lung full if air, then his fingers were tangled in her pale wet hair and his lips locked with hers once more. She felt lithe and alive pressed against him and Marcus was slowly loosing focus as a haze clouded his mind. He just wanted more of her, and this, and by the way his grip around her tightened it was clear he intended it to happen.

[Rose]

As he pulled away she felt a quick sweep of disappointment, but realized it was only so they wouldn't pass out. After trying to catch her breath she locked with him again. Just like he held her, she also tightly gripped him like they were never letting go. To say she was aroused was a extreme simplification. His touch, his skin, the way he held her, how he tasted and smelled, it all drove her crazy. She wanted him, in every way. Without even consciously thinking about it her body braced for what she hoped to come. "Not here." She whispered as she pulled away from his kiss. Her eyes still passionately locked with his.

Marcus made a noise between a huff of annoyance and a sigh, moving forward as if to kiss her again before realizing she was probably right. Not really able to form words at the moment Marcus just nodded, loosening his hold on her reluctantly so they could move. His eyes had darkened and his pupils were dilated with obvious intent, still short of breath but he'd do as she said.

[Rose]

Resisting his advance was almost as painful as being stabbed. The only saving grace was that she had every intention of continuing once they got back up to the house. With obvious desire to once again be locked with him she reluctantly pulled from his arms. Suddenly she felt the cool night air again. His embrace had managed to warm her threw and threw. Quickly she pulled her shirt and shorts back on then walked back to him, hand outstretched.
