[IC] Forgotten History

[Thorned Hammer]

Nodding slowly Marcus turned his cup around and around in nimble fingers. "That's good then. And the clean up is gonna be straight forward if it goes to plan.". Sitting back he looked over at her. " I think we're set, can't think of anything we missed."

[Rose]

Rin stood up and pulled her sunglasses from her pocket. "then let's go." she said with a deep breath. After walking out side she made her way to a old pickup truck. "A friend is letting me borrow it for the weekend." she said as she got in the driver's seat and started the engine.

[Thorned Hammer]

"A friend huh?". Teased Marcus as he followed her out, looking over the truck with an appraising eye. He managed to keep from checking the underside of the vehicle, despite how much recent experiences told him to, and instead climbed into the passenger's seat. " your friend has a crummy car," he grumbled, trying to make himself comfortable before stealing her sunglasses and putting them on.

[Rose]

Rin floored it and drove off quickly and seemingly wrecklessly. "Hey hey, only pilots get those fancy sunglasses!" she said reaching for them. After a second or two she gave up, realizing his stubbornness wasn't worth fighting. Before long they were out of town and driving across an open country road. "He goes out every week on this night. He enjoys getting drunk with the local low lives. We'll snag him on his way there." she said in a more serious tone.

Avoiding her attempts to retrieve her glasses, Marcus rolled down the window in his side and leaned back on his chair. "Mkay,". He said, sounding thoughtful and maybe even a little bit sleepy as the cool wind ruffled his hair and shirt. " you know where he drinks? Is it really busy there?"

[Rose]

Continuing to drive fast down the curvy country road Rin split her attention between Marcus and the road. "Yeah, I know the place. It's a run down old bar." she explained. Seeming almost impatient she fidgeted in her seat. Spending a large amount of time in the cockpit had caused her to grow accustom to its feel, so anything else felt wrong. "I'm figuring it would be best to get him on his way to or from there." she added.

"Depends, do you want him aware when you grab him? Or do you want him confused.". Marcus asked, crossing his arms over his chest. " either one is gonna scare the shit out of him. And will be satisfying I'll admit."

[Rose]

"I want him to spend every moment of the rest of his life aware that I am paying him back for the terrible things he's done. He deserves to live in regret and fear for a little while. " She told him, her eyes focused ahead but full of hate. There was only two things she really hated. The UKD and how they destroyed lives, families, and freedom. And Henry for having done the same thing. She wasn't able to end the UKD just yet, but it was her long term goal. For now her immediate focus was to end Henry, and make him pay for what he has done.

"Alright. Sober Henry it is then.". Marcus said with a grin expression replacing his previous thoughtful one. He looked over at Rin, once more finding himself studying her for changes. There was her stance, seemed to be more aggressive and tense. She talked a bit more harshly and there was that army accent in her voice now. But her eyes stood out the most, there being something harder behind them that hadn't been there before.

[Rose]

Rin could feel Marcus's eyes on her, like he was studying her actions. "Did you forget what I look like or something?" She teased him, actively trying to relax. This whole situation had her on edge. It's not that she didn't want to do it, but it's not everyday that you kidnap your step father with the intention of slowly killing him. Taking a deep breath she relaxed into her seat as much as she could. "Thank you for being here." she said softly.

Marcus just chuckled at her question, thinking to himself hkw he would ever forget what she looked like. He turned his attention back out the window, pulling off the sunglasses he had stolen from her. "Come on Rin, did you you think I wouldn't come?". He asked, shifting on his seat. " I've told you before don't worry. I'll always be there when you need me. Even when it's to hide bodies."

[Rose]

With a grin and a chuckle Rin shook her head. "Still, I just want you to know I really appreciate it." She said and casually put a hand on his leg. She wouldn't admit it but she had dreams of Marcus nearly every night they were apart. It had felt like someone removed part of her. There were others she had made friends with, but none like Marcus. He was different then all the others, simply better. "After all this is over will spend the rest of the time just me and you, doing whatever it is we want." She said with a smile.

"Making some big promises there". He laughed, glancing down at her hand before briefly covering it with his own. He reasoned then that yes, she had changed. But she was still Rin, the important parts that made her her were still there. And that's all that mattered to him.

[Rose]

After the approximately hour drive the sun was starting to go down, large shadows being cast by the hills. Rin's heart beat quickened the closer they got yet she stayed calm. Her eyes were sharp and intense, just like they were when she was in her Viper. As she parked in a dark and concealed area off the road she looked to Marcus. "All in, don't hold anything back." She said as much to herself as to him. She opened the door and stepped out, her whole body language changing, she was ready to kill.

"Breath Rin, keep it simple.". Marcus said I'm a hushed voice, having climbed out as well and coming up alongside her. His hands were still in his pockets, clenched in fists, and his shoulders were straight locked back in a clearly confrontational stance. Despite that his walk was easy and quiet.

[Rose]

She gave him a silent nod and let out a breath then walked towards the parking lot. She saw Henry pull in and shut off his car. Quickly she got closer, being as stealthy as possible. After stepping out of his car and shutting the door Henry paused for a moment, turning around thinking he heard something. By that point Rin was behind him. "Surprise you son of a bitch." She grumbled then hit him as hard as she could. He fell to the ground but wasn't quite unconscious so Rin quickly unholstered her gun and smacked it across his face, causing him to pass out.

Marcus had moved behind Henry casually as Rin confronted him, catching the older man and keeping him from hitting the ground or car with a loud thud. The whole point here was to be quick and quiet, and a thud like that would not help at all. He didn't doubt Rin's blows had seen him senseless, so without further ado he began hauling Henry back towards their own car with the intention of dumping him in the truck bed.

[Rose]

Rin holstered her gun and moved to help Marcus. She lifted the other half of Henry the best she could. AS quietly and quickly as possible they took Henry to the truck and put him in the back. Rin leaned over the side and quickly gagged him and tied his arms and legs with rope. "Alright, let's get out of here." She whispered and got in the truck.

Marcus nodded, climbing into the back to keep an eye on Henry and anyone who might have seen them. He eased himself down so he was sitting directly behind Rin, Henry about a foot from him, and let one arm hang over the side if the truck. "Ready when you are.". He said, keeping his voice low.

[Rose]

Rin slid open a small window on the back glass of the truck so that she could hear Marcus better. Then she started driving to the place she had decided they would do this. It was an old boat repair shop that had closed years ago, Rin had snuck out to it several times growing up. It was secluded and the perfect place. After a little while of driving they arrived. Parking by the door Rin turned off the engine and hopped out. "Let's haul his fat ass in there." She complained.
