Emotional mess.
It was a complete mess and Dorian couldn't understand why! Their relationship had gone sour ever since that kiss, now he was beginning to wonder what it was they had before that. He didn't know what to do, it all felt jumbled. A twisted mix of push and pull, an agitating frustration coming from confusion.
Dorian could woo the panties off a good Christian girl right in front of her soul mate husband, but he couldn't connect with or understand his own soulmate.
Just what was he doing!
Protecting her.
Dorian remained stoic during Saoirse surprising out burst, it took iron will not to respond but he knew as the anger, frustration and hurt swelled in his stomach that anything he would say could only make things worse.
As Saoirse left Dorian's hand found a nearby vase on a tables edge, possible an antique. As Saoirse began to scream the vase found itself in pieces after violently crashing against the wall.
Dorian hadn't had a person to care for in a long time, and now that he did and she was in danger, it scared him.
He focused on the danger side of things retreating into the basement with much of his luggage and suitcases.
It was getting late, he would have to brave her again soon as they would need to go get supper. Until then the familiar if not tedious repetition of checking inventory stock and cleaning his things would calm and settle his mind like a bout of deep meditation. Maybe then he would find the right words to say to her.
