This thread is where duels within the The East Market RP will take place.

Please contact @Alamantus (or any Co-GMs) before posting here so he can organize the fight and get everything in order for a fair fight.

The rules are still being figured out, so for now, just work it out with Alamantus in OOC or in PMs, and everything will get in order with time.

Akkina saw that Silas had dodged her attack and now was behind, attempting to strike her back, She jumped away from the sword to move out of its reach, She then turned to face him then ran towards him striking towards the right as a fake manoeuvre and then thrust her sword deeply towards his chest, and then raised her fist and thrust it forward to his face in order to strike him in the face.

@WittyWolf judging by your positioning, this thrust is right on point and too close to dodge. If you want to keep the match going, I'd suggest trying a parry if you think Silas can think quickly enough.

Sorry for butting in, but as somebody who knows a thing or two about swordfighting as well, i'd say this thrust is easy dodge, and positioning has little to do with it. All it takes is to turn your chest parallel to the thrust and lean back, letting it slide past - and as far as i know, Silas should be left in a pretty neutral stance after his strike to Akkina's back, since he is given ample time to recover. That being said, a parry is no worse.

@The Slenderman
Silas knocked back the downwards slash with a left to right slash of his own, gaining power and speed as he spun his body. He grabbed her striking hand's wrist in his left hand as he maneuvered, extending out his arm then pulling his shoulder into his own center of gravity and using his elbow as a lever to throw off her balance. As she was pulled towards the ground, he stopped his spin and stepped in between her feet. In this moment, Silas brought his sword close to his own body, arm held at an angle as he thrust upwards towards her exposed ribs. He pulled down on the captured wrist for increased effect.

@The Slenderman

and then this except with Silas grabbing Akkina's arm and not Akkina holding a gun, obviously. :P

Pretty hard to get out of, if it's possible at all.

EDIT: Wait, no, Silas thrust upward? Akkina's in the air? Never mind.

Notice the third posture? He's following her body with his blade lmao

@The Slenderman That will definitely tip the balance of power in her favor lol If that was gonna happen, I would've suggested a wooden swords sparring match and he would've had both blades to defend and attack against the holy blade.

@Alamantus Yea, wait, that's a collar shoulder throw, I think from Judo. Silas wouldn't have enough hands, he would've had to drop the scimitar.
It would end like this, but Akkinna is still not parallel to the ground, with Silas setting up the blade for when she falls into that position.

OHH! Ok, good, that's what I thought. So it's just the second picture that was wrong. Got it!

EDIT: Got it, got it. Cool!

@Alamantus
Correction to myself:
It's more of an arm bar, since she tried to strike at his face. Silas knows she would still have her sword, so going for the shoulder throw is a bad idea, she could still stab him when he went to mount.
