Full name: Serron "Melting Point" Eryshale

Home planet: Originally, X4-18BH Delta, but was forcibly transferee to X9-6JL Alpha (Earth) after his planets entire galaxy collapsed due to an unstable magnetic impulse that altered the black hole present in the centre of the Galaxy.

Race: Errodian. A race similar to humans, but with higher function brain capacity and a greater knowledge in science. The race is particularly known for its research into the basic principles of Dark Matter; obtaining and controlling it. This led to the race being almost decimated in the 3rd great black war, the third to incorporate experimental dark matter weaponry as well as red matter and psycho-atomic matter, a powerful subtype of regenerative material which is highly radioactive and displays almost telekinetic properties.

Age: the Errodians do not generally keep track of their age, but Serron would be classes as approximately 27 in Earth years, of 63 in Regladian years, as time flows differently on his home planet due to instability with the time flux.

Appearance: he has pale, chalk white skin due to dark matter exposure, with similar coloured hair which extends to about shoulder heigh. His eyes are pure black around the iris, which is also pure white, with a black pupil. He typically wears casual Earth clothes, but has a spare set of Errodian military equipment on hand if the need arises.

Abilities: "Melting Point"
His actual ability manifested during his research on Psycho-nuclear matter decomposition using dark matter particles. Due to this, he developed a minor ability to control Heat sources. After the genetic mutations he went through with the IPT, his ability has developed into almost full Heat vector control. Around his body, a constant IAF (involuntary Ability Field) is produced, which he can cause to Heat up or cool down on a whim. This field can also double as a type of shield, which can forcibly Heat the air around it, then condense it into pure plasma and using it to negate attacks. Because of this, and his constant melting of metal objects near him, he gained the military identity: Melting Point.

Skills: Due to being a researcher, he is highly adapt at analysing formulae and experiments using nuclear or universal physics combining his knowledge of Thermonuclear radiation, dark matter decomposition, red matter weaponry and Psycho-nuclear experiments with inherent Errodian abilities to rapidly increase or decrease any radioactive materials decomposition rate. Due to his training with the Errodian military, he gained proficiency with hand guns and advanced, high tech Nono tech burst rifles. He can also create explosives using available resources and a basic form of alchemy using sulphur and lead.

Bio: Serron was a well renowned researcher among the Errodian social structure. His research into dark matter and Psycho-nuclear matter proved vital in the civil war his planet faced, known as the "day Errodian died", ending only a day before the Galaxy was destroyed by an adverse effect, reversing the black hole into a star, and then instantly collapsing and exploding into a supernova. In the civil war, he gained the name melting point because of his ability to melt any metal he came into contact with. His was also one of the key resources in the victory for his faction, the "Melting Talon". After the planet was destroyed, he was transferred to Earth for refuge. Here, he gained widespread recognition for his research, but attracted a large amount of unsavoury attention. An Earth faction named "Black Spider", ambushed him one night whilst he walked home from a lecture on thermonuclear physics. He killed 6 Humans that night with his new found ability, the ability to draw plasma from different sources... Like others blood, and use it as a weapon. He was captured, and imprisoned in a maximum security penitentiary on an artificially created salt island in the middle of the Pacific. It was here the IPT picked him up, recruiting him for his ability to manipulate Heat vectors, promising they could help him gain more control over his power, and gain new abilities for it. He trusted the IPT. Not only that, they chose him for his clear scientific prowess. His race had been allies with the IPT for generations, and had given some of their best best soldiers, pilots, medics and engineers to them. However, the Errodians did not approve of their other means of acquiring technology. The ability to mutate and develop abilities in any race was far beyond Errodian and IPT technology ever could be... Which meant they were getting if from someone else... Someone like, the Right hand of God, a military faction some 100 years more scientifically advanced then the Errodian, who were the 3rd most developed species within public knowledge. Somehow, the IPT struck a deal with the most hated faction in existsnce, and now have the ability to genetically create walking super weapons. The Errodian have long suspected that the IPT are preparing for war... But against who?

Notes: Dark matter is the substance located on the edge of black holes, created out of matter decomposition within the black hole.
Red matter is a highly volatile substance that is used frequently in mass planet mining operation and complete Galaxy obliteration. Such weapons include: The Reaver Drill, a powerful mining drill capable of destroying planets. And the XZ-472, a highly dangerous weapon, which looks like a small gemstone. Inside the gemstone is the equivalent power of 10000 supernovas, all created from 100g of red matter.
Psycho-nuclear matter is an experimental, artificial substance that displays telekinetic properties on other objects. Such objects include: wood, steel, lead, liquid hydrogen, sand, iron and others. This substance has been under development for some time, and has been tested for dark matter decomposition, where it is used to rapidly decay dark matter to a point of sudden collapse, causing massive thermonuclear reaction exceeding any amount of destructive force very recorded. This research, however, has been postponed indefinitely.

I somehow totally overlooked the part about this being from modern-day Earth... I may have to rewrite a few minor aspects of Xiu-Xiu's backstory. Probably wouldn't have been allowed to marry a woman or adopt kids when she was younger, and induced pregnancy is right out.

Might have to write a few alien NPCs to provide tech support for her nanite form.

Yeah and thats why Serron isn't going to be accepted just yet, since in this world aliens still haven't been discovered to be a thing on Earth yet so that complicates the story unless it was all in secret.

Technically, it would be "secret". I just rewrote part of the backstory to better suit a part of it, and Serron could basically be chalked up to be a human with a very, very bad disease. As for the Errodian on Earth... Easily changeable, since I knew something like this might occur. That or the IPT could be intentionally hiding the Errodian in Earth.

When earth had to select only three people out of the billions to be the first candidates for the IPT, it was clear they needed the best of the best. Looking through several records, they found Xiu-Xiu Benedict. She started as an EMT, before going on to work for Doctors Without Borders, acting as a pilot and medic for those most in need.

There was just one problem. Xiu-Xiu was retired. More than retired, she couldn't leave her bed without help. The woman was starting her second century. She'd lived a long life, though never married.

The alien race known as the Synth agreed to help - This species had advanced their own cybernetics research to the point where they could transfer their minds to artificial brains. They agreed to try and use their technique on Xiu-Xiu.

The humans shared their own research on neurology, and this joint-species task force was named the Lazarus Project. A colony of nanites, based on distributed computing and limited self-repair. It involved a destructive scan - The nanites would take Xiu-Xiu apart at the atomic level in order to rebuild her neural network with their own structure. If it went wrong, it would be fatal. But Xiu-Xiu was no starnger to taking risks. Offered her youth back, an opportunity to explore and give aid in a whole universe, and to pioneer a life-changing medical treatment, she didn't need convincing.

The treatment was a success, though the project wants to make sure there are no long-term issues before trying it out again. Xiu-Xiu was reborn as a silvery liquid which, after some practice, assembled itself into Xiu-xiu in her 20s. She spent more time getting used to her new body, before setting off for IPT training.

Also are we the only six on the ship, or is there a selection of non-elite staff for maintenance, support etc?

I see it as shuttlecrafts, either to come in from space or vehicles to drop in on from the atmosphere, food would have a modified drying/re-hydrating system (Think the pizza from Back To The Future 2), and the main thruster systems essentially creates small black holes that do rapid teleportation and dissipate after a few seconds.

Wait... speaking of Back to the Future 2, its October 2015, WHERE THE FUCK IS MY RE-HYDRATING PIZZA?!!?
