The driver is in a catatonic state. The wound, for some reason, slowed down its bleeding, and the driver slumps down, but not quite unconscious. The innkeeper jumps to help Emmett, and they succeed in moving the couch, but not without noise. In mere seconds, there are audible noises of zombie moans, but they're still quite far off.

"That'll hold them. I'm gonna go see about the wounded guy." the innkeeper says, then walks over to where William and the driver are. ""Does he have a fever?" he continued, then put his palm on the driver's forehead.

Just then, the driver turns his head upwards and bites the innkeeper's hand! Due to the suddenness and his position, he manages to only graze the innkeeper, but it was enough to draw blood. The innkeeper jumps back, holding his hand in shock as the driver, or what used to be him, is thrashing around, this time trying to bite William.

He misses by an inch in his attempt to gnaw on William's arm, but they're very close. He tries again.

[FREE] except for William and Emmett. You guys just deal with the zombie. Let's see if it'll work out fine this way. If the other characters decide to go downstairs, they enter combat mode as well.

William recoils back trying to avoid the second bite, dropping the cloth hip flask and bandage. William tries to keep some distance between him and the driver while looking for a weapon.

[Camerch]

Emmett turned and saw the reanimated bus driver attacking a terrified William and a freaking-out innkeeper. He takes his hammer, dashes over and tries to swing at the face of the newly made zombie.

Hearing the commotion downstairs, Brenner abandons his post at the door, making his way downstairs wielding the borrowed lamp, he stands by the foot of the steps and takes in the scene, preparing the improvised weapon to swing the moment the undead attempts to come near.

William is successful in avoiding and making distance between him and the zombie, although he cannot find a weapon. There's now a good five feet between them, with his back to the stairs.

Brenner arrives just as William moves away from the zombie.

Emmett's charge isn't as successful. While he did manage to hit the zombie, he only hit its jaw. With an audible crack, this crushes and dislocates the jaw. The force of the hit causes the zombie to turn his head towards the direction of the innkeeper.

The innkeeper is now on the ground, sitting, supported by his arms as if he lost the strength from his legs. While he is a few feet away from the zombie, he is still in danger as the zombie has him on its sight. The zombie attempts to pounce on the still in shock innkeeper.

Sorry guys, hopefully you're still here lol. The upstairs characters don't seem to be.

Brenner whistles loudly to get the zombies attention and steps forward, hurling the lamp towards its head.

Emmett quickly steps between the zombie and the innkeeper, prepared to react if the zombie makes a move.

William looks at the other two who joined the fray. William decides to let deal with the zombie. He remembers the frist aid kit. He hurrily packs it up and stands ready for another attack.
