@Absolis@Savato I would recommend you two establishing the difference between Conablum and Ethereal tech clearly in the OOC. Not that I'd want to interrupt the technological dick-measuring that appears to be going on, but it'd probably be useful to establish.

General: Ethereal tech looks futuristic. Is futuristic. Doesn't care that it looks futuristic. And appears to be focused on function over appearance.
Conablum tech is a mix of function and form. It can look futuristic, but it can also look like something you would find today. For the most part it's indestructible due to a lot of it being made of Saber cloth, rather then instant explosion alien alloys.
Weapons:
Ethereal weapons again go for function over form. Often looking exactly what you think a plasma weapon would look like. They are powerful, accurate, but heavy. Requiring a human to use two hands to fire even the light plasma rifle.
Conablum: again, function and form. Conablum weapons focus on both close and ranged combat. Swords are made of hard, sharpneed Saber cloth thus allowing them to diffuse energy and allowing light to pass through without harm to the sword. Guns are made to be light, and are a mix of ballistic and cold fusion powered. The ballistic weapons are mostly used for harming Saber cloth users, while the cold fusion focuses on strict power. They are averagely accurate, about as accurate as a real life rifle would be.
Cloning:
I don't know much about ethereal cloning tech, I do know that it is perfect however. Each clone is a perfect replica of one another.
Conablum: Conablum cloning is near perfect. While a clone can be made, the memories will not be there unless the brain is available. On top of this, more variation is allowed in Conablum cloning. Meaning a clone may not be a clone in the traditional sense, but rather a clone like in metal gear solid. Based on genes.
Genetics:
Ethereal: ethereal genetics are fairly well off. They are able to genetically engineer races to strengthen certain attributes, make them appear to be human, or to meld perfectly with inorganic metal parts.
Conablum: Conablum genetics are marginally more advanced. A subject can be genetically altered while it is still alive. On top of this, Conablum labs also has a tech called "buffs" which are like nanomites, however they do not have the EMP and heat weaknesses cyanos nanometers have, as they are focused on a molecular level, but the shortcoming is they can only augment one attribute and only last for a certain amount of time.
Fleet: Ethereal: ethereal fleets are very big and very flashy. The smaller ships follow the flying saucer stereotype, and contain plasma weapons. They are noticed easily, but can be shot down by low tech jet planes. The larger ships are much stronger and require much more powerful weapons and extremely expensive ships based off their own technology to even hope to destroy. Meanwhile temple ships are practically indestructable, but if one finds a way they are set to create a black hole as a sort of pyrhhic victory for the ethereals.
Conablum: Conablum lab shis are focused on subtlety. Rarely can they carry more then five people. They are rather small, but each one carries a cold fusion cannon. Cyanos personal ship can transport up to 10 people, and comes equipped with a fully functional weapons, cloning, robotics, and genetics lab
Strategy and tech use: Ethereal: Ethereal troops use their tech to devestating effect. With sections scouting ahead, thin men dropping behind enemy lines, mutons assaulting the enemy head on, the various flying troops keeping the enemies heads down, and sectopods for general destruction. Chrysallids are mostly used for terrorizing the civilian populace, and for destabilizing an area by creating a zombie apocalypse within a zone
Conablum: Conablum lab outward squads are mostly used for retrieval, and infiltration that Cyano is too lazy to do herself. They operate in small groups of five, and come armored in Saber cloth, and armed with cold fusion small arms. They can be used to devestating effect in breaking enemy defenses, though wouldn't fare too well in a head on fight against larger numbers. Though they can be mobilized in a larger number, and have proven themselves to be quite effective as a traditional army.
Overall:
Ethereal: aggressive, functional, jack of all trades weaponry. A variety of different species used in tandem to devastating effect. Quick, perfect cloning. Detailed genetic engineering focused on attributes and a minor focus on form.
Conablum: Sleek, effective weaponry focused on power with decent accuracy. Strike based teams effective in retrieval and breaking holes in enemy lines, but useful traditionally. Quick, but easily altered cloning that isn't quite mastered but is almost there. Genetic engineering focused on attributes, but preferring temporary alterations for ease of use.
I am debating on adding another character to my repertoire since I am in the Rivard verse at the moment. He is rather fun to use, though there is another character I wouldn't mind putting in. But I don't want to take on too many, 3 at most. Which might bump to four once I get into the rhythm of playing three. That being said I don't think I will ever beat @Gummi bunnies in number of characters.
I have... one more... but it is too powerful... too adorable... the feels are too great and may actually make you die of cuteness heartbreak... but I shall expose you to it... @mtntopview
I'm on the fence about both as I really like playing weaker characters, who mostly serve to relieve the tension, like the green haired wolf girl bard, but on the other hand, I like to add to plot, plus I am playing two females already and would rather have some variety.deleted due to unneeded reaction to the worst RPer I ever had the misfortune to meet
