Bio: An only child who never knew her father, Lilah always felt close to her mother Melania, who was an unsanctioned witch and trained her in her magic from a young age. She lived in contentment, notwithstanding some difficulty connecting with her peers; their worlds were free of the wonder of magic and the danger presented by hunters. Her mother was the only one she could talk to about the way things really were.

It was when she was fourteen that the hunter came and everything changed. She arrived home from school just the same as she usually did. She wondered why the window was broken, but she didn't expect to find her mother sprawled in the kitchen, gasping her last breaths, a perfectly average-looking man raising his sword for the final blow. She just froze, unable to move as the sword fell in an instant. She cried out, then, and hurled lightning at the man, but she was so shaken that her aim went wild and set the table on fire instead. Panicking, she ran.

She was exhausted by the time the hunter found her. He said that his name was Michael and that he was sorry but Melania Regis was dangerous, had killed people. He made her an offer: train at a Hunter School and become a Key of Solomon and protect humanity. She looked at him and thought about how she was a witch and apparently the daughter of a murderer and the offer was no real choice at all, surely he would kill her if she said no.

“Yes,” she murmured, and then closed her eyes in surrender to her exhaustion.

Bio: Eisen Torquemada was born in a small village in Spain to a poor family of witch hunters. He was quickly brought up to abhor magic users and see them as weak and cowardly. Instead he was taught to trust and strengthen his own body to overcome the unnatural evil in this world.

Coming from a long family line of witch Hunters, Torquemada has learned to not trust any magic users and instead go on brute strength and determination to overcome the supernatural. Even now, magic using classmates are meet with strong superstition and abhorrence. He can be seen as stubborn, arrogant, and cold hearted, but underneath his cold exterior is a only pain and misguidance. His goal is to prove his family name worthy and has enlisted into the Academy with his fathers sacred family hammer to do so.

Bio: The Helsing line is one of misfortune and trouble. Edward's mother died giving birth to him, his father was a seasoned hunter. They lived in London until Edward turned nine, when disaster struck his family again. A cult of vampires gathered and assaulted the Helsing manor, a young Edward awoke to his the manor servants screaming as they vampire feasted upon them. Edge's father was surrounded gunning down each as they approached. Edge himself had collected one of the silver swords from the manors great hall. Then made his way to the window looking for his father, as the house caught fire.

Edge arrived in time to see his father drained of life, and discarded. Edge had never had drive to be violent, not until that day. In truth no Helsing is born a Hunter, nearly all of them suffer and that vengeance that burns in their hearts, that is what makes a Helsing fight. When this near year old child, with only a sword in hand saw the death of not only of his father but also of his friends and caretakers he broke. He jumped out the window crashing down upon the vampire he struck it blow after blow after blow. When his arms gave out he dropped the sword.

Luckily for Edge some of the staff had survived, now the heir of his branch of the Helsing family Edge spent days training. He also took up music, the violin specifically. It had been his mothers, now with both his parents gone he did his best to remember and learn things about them. Finally after training for years he was accepted into the Academy, choosing to train in Monster Hunting due to the fact he felt Vampire hunting would present little challenge. While tough and cocky at times, Edge backs this up with lethal aim and fast paced movement, his sword and knives skills are impressive however he knows little of magic or demons.

Soul Taker: if more soul are taken that able to handle. user will be corrupted and possessed by every soul inside Soul Edge.
Soul Crush: uses a massive amount of energy from user and if energy is lacking. Soul bombs will actually attack the user instead of enemy.
Soul Refuge: once used, the user has a risk of being taken over by one or all of the souls to be changed into a massive creature of evil.
Bio:
Alex was born into a clan of Demon hunters known as the Holy Cross. A group of priest and priestesses whose sole purpose is to hunt down demons and any other malevolent or evil creature. From a young age Alex was trained in their way of fighting to prep him for the trials ahead. Alex’s road was both physically and mentally straining, but it was all so he could wield the Holy Cross’s greatest weapons known as Soul Edge. Weapons filled with divine power to absorb and trap malevolent, demonic, and evil souls with in and allow the wielder to use them in battle. .

Every member of the Holy Cross must go through rigorous and dangerous trials to even be able to wield such a powerful, yet dangerous power. Should a member not be ready to wield a Soul Edge, their very soul will be taken over by the many malevolent, demonic, and evil souls trapped within. Alex has already proven himself to be able to wield one of the Soul Edges, but he is unable to wield it at its full potential. For that, he must travel to the Academy of Solomon like many of his mentors have done. Once he is able to fully control his Soul Edge, Alex will be a full fledge member of the Holy Cross. However, should he be taken over by the many souls he has inside his Soul Edge. He’ll become nothing more than another Demon the Holy Cross will have to deal with.

Bio:
Born into a long line of werewolf hunters, Darlene was no pushover. She had three older brothers and one younger brother so she was the only girl in the family. Her mother was not a hunter, but her father was and he trained all of his children to become one; well, all except Darlene. Because she was a girl, he wanted her to have nothing to do with hunting and would tell her to always stay in the house and help her mother with the housework, much to her dismay.

Fortunately, her younger brother, Simon, was sympathetic of the situation, so every night when they had the chance, he would teach her everything that they had learned that day. Soon enough, Simon realized that Darlene made a better hunter than him and their older brothers.

Couple years go by like this and Darlene thought that she was ready to become acknowledged as a hunter too. She confronted her father, who was completely outraged that Simon and she would do this behind his back. Though thanks to much convincing by Simon, her mother, and Darlene herself, he agreed that he would send her to a Beast Hunter school and that if she managed to graduate, he would finally acknowledge her as a hunter.

Now heading to the academy, Darlene is determined to show her worth and earn her father's faith. She does not intend to let anything or anyone distract her from her goal.

Li doesn't know who her biological parents are. She's never known them, and the first memory she has of life is the smiling face of Lucas Lane. He may have been her adoptive father, but he also was her real father. From what he told her, he brought her in from a life of poverty and pain and took care of her for years out of the purity of his heart.

She knew those were lies.

That was merely the Demon of Pride inside of her father speaking, gushing with pleasure at the thought that he, along with his human host and friend, saved a poor orphan from the streets and raised her as their own daughter.

But she worried about it as little as others in the Family did. Everyone lived with a Demon inside of them. Demons of Pride, Gluttony, Sloth, Lust... Of course, the exception had been Li herself. Being adopted, the Family wasn't able to prepare her for the Pact as quickly as other children. While others obtained their demons at the age of five, she obtained hers at the age of ten.

By that time, she had been training in Martial Arts and the Naginata for five years, so when the day to make the Pact with a Demon came, the Demon who sought her out was a follower of the ways of Lust. From that day until the present, Li had trained endlessly to become better and better at her martial prowess and controlling the Demon's powers.

When her 15th birthday hit, Li obtained the Black Belt in the Lane's Naginata Style and her lust shifted to something else: becoming a Demon Hunter like her father.

It took some time to convince him to let her attend an academy for it, as he was too prideful to admit an academy would be a better place to learn than the Lane household, but he eventually gave in after Li escaped the household to track a demonic cult and nearly got killed.

Her father is still really mad at her for being so reckless but that's just his broken pride speaking.

Bio: Born into a family of mages, James was mostly an outsider. His parents and relatives all used light based magic, whereas James clearly possessed a dark ability. Shadows would converge densely around him and people often had trouble discerning his form. This led to several accidents, including a supposed sighting of a mythical creature where the hunters tranquillised him. Another incident was a prerequisite to his transfer into The Academy of Solomon. A witch caught him wandering and stole him away since he looked like a Shadow Nymph, a rare and powerful creature made of shadow. After he was taken, his family arrived on the scene; only to find that which they did not expect.

The witch had recently been attacking civilians, and other mages and druids had had trouble defeating it. When James's parents arrived, everything around the area was pitch black, and the witch was nothing but a mess of gore and bones. In James's hand, a large crossbow of shadow and across the ground lay countless tiny daggers. This caused him to be enrolled into the Academy of Solomon, and his classification as a Witch Hunter.

When one understands the flow of life within all living things, one can command it. Life energy can be taken from a dying creature and transferred to another, strengthening them and healing wounds. The flow can also be hindered in the bodies of whole and living beings, weakening them and causing pain.

*Prayer of Astyr - Second Stanza: Demons and the undead are unnatural. Abominations to Astyr. This Stanza is anathema to these perversions of life, burning them from the inside and binding their movements until they can be slain.

*A simple, unadorned dagger, used as much for rituals as for self-defense.

*While not actually magic, as a Priestess, she is trained in non-magical healing.

Bio: Taken as an infant by the Church of Astyr, Goddess of Life, Kiera was found to be blessed with vitality, overcoming a disease that would have killed a lesser child. Thought to be touched by Astyr, she was raised and trained by the church to be a Priestess of Astyr. When she turned fifteen she was sent to the Academy of Solomon, to ply her power in service to the world and Astyr. She knows all four hundred and sixty two stanzas of the Prayer of Astyr, but at present is able to empower only the first two.

Note: The Prayer of Astyr, able to control life, can be perverted and twisted into Necromancy. As such Necromancers and the Undead are the absolute worst evil imaginable to a servant of Astyr.

He also wears a necklace with the holy cross on the end

The Axe of Truth is a divine weapon that is deadly to evil and can get past magical resistance, another of its capabilities is to glow brightly in darkness when he wills it. It also will always return to him no matter how far he throws it.

Bio: There exists a catholic church of fighting priests whose skill in the arts of armed and unarmed combat are legend. The best among these fighting priests go on to become crusaders of The Keys of Solomon. This is where St Michael's story begins. Many years ago when he was an infant the church of fighting priests found him on their doorstep and they took him in as one of their own. From a very young age Michael displayed great potential in the arts of combat and they trained him in their martial art known as the Seven Paths of God. They believed that his in blood was the power of a heavenly angel and gave him the name St Michael for they believed him to be the Archangel reincarnated in mortal form to battle with the forces of the devil.

As he grew older his skills increased and his speed was faster than any of the other priests of the church and his body healed quicker than any normal human. It was then that they revealed to him the secret of how there was more than just him left on their doorstep, but also an axe with divine properties. Feeling that he was ready to use the weapon, they gave it to him and Michael named it The Axe of Truth. With his training among the priests nearly finished, they decided that he would attend The Academy of Solomon where he would train in the hunt of demons and help in the crusade of destroying evil.

Even though he would have preferred to stay with the church, he understand that his destiny called him to other place and life of a hero awaited him. Michael also wondered what the other students would be like and he was especially curious to meet other crusaders. He was incredibly tenacious and wouldn't give up on his hero's journey to become a great warrior against the forces of darkness.
