"Friendship, Happiness...Joy...and the occasional downfalls."
Echo Halcyone "Me and Echo have known each other side day one, we've practically sat at the same table for 6 years with our house. She's a great friend, and so much fun to be around. Even if she ends up dragging me to places, I don't like...we still manage to have fun and laugh about it, a few days later when it doesn't always turn out right. She's a great singer and rather smart. I always cheer her on at Quidditch matches, she's one of the best players in our team and year."
"I still remember the day I caused Echo's hair to turn green.....woops"
Emily and Echo have been great friends since they both started at Salem's Institute. Those two have never been seen or known to argue. They have had many crazy, funny and lovely memories over the 6 years and there are more to come. They're always there for each other, no matter what. Emily and Echo help each other study, if one of them doesn't know something, even with Echo's help, Emily still has to improve on her potion skills. Even their pets Piper and Nyx have an adorable friendship, and can be around each other without causing trouble or hurting the other.
Amelia Averyonna "You've met Amelia right? I mean...who hasn't? That little girl is a bundle off adorable joy and friendship. Amelia seriously is one of the most sweetest and adorable first years, most people here at Salem know. I always try and make time for her, even if she's new and we don't know each other much, she is a lovely girl. She could make anyone's day better with just a smile."
Emily may not have known Amelia for a long time, but she feels sorry for the poor little girl who has hard life, but yet still manages to be the adorable sunshine she is. She admires that about Amelia; and they can be seen in the Gardens or the Tituba dorms spending time together. Emily keeps an eye out for her, as she doesn't like it when Bullies try and hurt Amelia, due to her being a mute. It's not fair and Emily sometimes wishes that life wasn't so cruel to the poor girl. In a way, those to have a sister like relationship to one another.
Carlo Dion Valentine "Mhh...where do I start? I am sure he's nice...in fact, there's been a few occasions were we talked and got on like nothings wrong. I don't mind hanging around with him sometimes, but he's not my best friend either. But he is rather arrogant and cocky....not to mention his crude remarks make me roll my eyes at him in annoyance at times. He's one of those people, that knows how to push my buttons for sure. Sometimes we get on well, other times he just makes me want to scream and kick his backside. Oh well...there's always someone that gets on your nerves right?"
"Oh...he's not a dog person either."
Emily and Carlo are on semi-friendly terms when it comes to their relationship. Even if they don't speak as much, or hang out ever day; Emily tries to be nice to Carlo and not judge; but sometimes he just gets under her skin with his comments and attitude. He's overly confident and that is not something she finds attractive in a guy. He may be cute...but not that cute for Emily to over-look his arrogance. Sometimes, it's hard to be around him because of her dog Piper, even her dog can sense the hostile and dislike towards Dogs when around Carlo. Whilst Piper is usually friendly and loving Dog; she doesn't show affection towards Carlo.
Lü Ziya "Who?....Oh you mean the mysterious kid? I am honestly not sure what to tell you about him. In all truth, we never spoke much over the 5 years he's been here. We exchange a few friendly words and nods here and there, but I can't say that I really know him that well. I am not sure, if anyone does."
Emily tries to be friendly, and open but there's just something about Lü that makes her a bit cautious. Maybe it's the covered face...not knowing what lies beneath the mask, that keeps her at bay and from discovering more. She doesn't want to judge...but it's more of a self protection than anything else. A part of her might be scared off him; probably natural for most people at Salem who've seen him around. Their lack of communication also comes down, to lack of understanding him when he speaks. His voice is always muffled...which makes her feel bit uneasy.
Aella Strand "I first met Aella, in our Apparition Class. She seems like the quite type, her past is clearly not easy. It takes a while to get to know her, but I can see she's a loyal and good person deep inside. We sometimes sit together in class and share Magical Creatures club together. She's one of the people, that I know I can rely on if I ever need help, a friend. Her pets are also cute, even if they are rats."
Unlike Some, Emily doesn't turn away from Aella due to her awkwardness and shyness. Emily gave her a chance and the two girls get along; They may not spend a great deal amount of time together, like Emily does with her other friends...but they are on friendly terms, and do spend some time together. Emily wouldn't shut her out and is happy to converse with her anytime.
Aurelia Faulkner "Ever heard of the expression, 'Don't Judge a book by it's cover?'. Well, The same would go for Aurelia. Some people...or most people may see her as a bully of sorts. Her manors may be cold...blunt, and sometimes annoying but she's not a bad person, once you get to know her. It took me a while to break past that shell...and to learn more about her, and know how lonely she is. Our experience hasn't been clean and smooth ride either, but it has gotten better over the 6 years. She's capable of being friendly when she wants to be"
Emily and Aurelia aren't really friends...but they do have their moments of kindness and where they get along. Their road has been more than bumpy, with arguments and personality clash. But at the same time; Emily can see something in Aurelia; she can see that Aurelia is hiding behind a mask, not wanting to reveal the true kindness to everyone. She feels sorry for her, despite their up's and down's.
Hestia Wintergerald "I guess, the best way to describe Hestia would be a 'Mother Hen' of sorts. Hestia has motherly instincts, it can annoy some but I don't really mind. She's always there, if you need someone to for advice. She's helped me pout a couple of times and I know, I can go to her again if I need to. She may be a little intense at times...but she's not a bad person. Not many people understand her I suppose."
Emily and Hestia have pretty much always been on good terms with each other; They both may be a little bit stubborn. But Emily would not admit that...at least not out-loud anyways. She had witnessed Hestia's social awkwardness from time to time, but she can't really blame her; it's not her fault and like some people; she doesn't shy away from her and judge. They may be friends, but they always had a few arguments, when their stubborn personalities clashed. But all is well...
Edgar Whitby "I think he's great. You just have to give it some time to get to know him. He's one of the smartest guys I know...and has a great sense of humor. He always makes me laugh with his jokes, any time we hang out. Edgar, is also a good Tutor, he helped me out a few times when it comes to studying. He's one of the Guys, that I would consider a good friend."
Edgar is someone that Emily would gladly hang around with; they have been friends for a few years and Emily values his friendship and help if she needs it. She finds his personality appealing; she likes that he's different and that to her in a guy is attractive. Emily doesn't really know, if she likes him more than a friend and she wouldn't admit that to him...at least not right now. She wouldn't want to lose a valuable friendship.
Troy Franklin "I think, he's a sweet and smart little guy. I don't think, I've met a first year with such talents and knowledge before. He's very strong and doesn't let anything hold him back...I don't know him well, but he's the talk of the Institute for sure."
Troy is another first year, that Emily happily spends time with and looks out for. She admires his strength, and abilities despite his deformity. Whilst she feels sorry for his rough start in life, she admires him as he doesn't let it hold him back and that truly is something incredible to see. He's just like everyone else, for an 11 year old he's got quite the talent at Quidditch as well as few other things.
Ariande Tune "Ari, is another quite and shy person. It took us a while to actually get chatting, as we we only share a few classes and Astronomy Club. She's an interesting person; she has some-what of a bite, but she's sweet. She's also a rather good artist, her paintings are vibrant and full of like; it almost looks like a photo."
Emily and Ariande are classroom/study/club buddies. Although they do sometimes spend time outside of classes together. Even with the similar personalities, and Emily's distaste of sarcasm...the girls haven't clashed yet. They're on the road to becoming better friends.
Cassandre LeFlamme "One of my closest friends, and choir buddy along with Echo. She looks like a model, and certainly could have a name like one. She's a great friend and talented witch/person. I love listening to her and band...there's just something unique and soothing about her voice. She tried teaching me how to play a guitar once...didn't go so well, but it was rather fun experience."
Emily and Cassandre have known each other for 6 years, ever since Emily first came to the Academy. They became good friends, quickly on and have stayed close....Emily, Cassandre and Echo are known as the Choir Trio. They have never argued and Emily values Cassandre's friendship and on occasional, tips and help to improve her singing. Cassandre is a great vocal coach...at least according to Em.
