Anya stretched and yawned sitting up in her bed. She always was a late sleeper, even before she was turned she'd often miss school. She slowly ebbed out of bed, stretching again once she'd touched the ground.
She quickly got dressed, swapping her white tank top for her favorite top, putting her skirt on, and slipping into her boots. She holstered her knives and strapped her butterfly wrist band to her arm. Today was gunna be as fun as always.
Anya lived in a small studio apartment near The Kingdom bar, a bar ran by her family. It was only two buildings over and she visited often, one of the many perks of belonging to the family she could go and come as she pleased.
She was feeling kinda hungry..she'd have to get food on the way over. Smiling she practically skipped out the door, locking it behind her and walking into the elevator.
She stepped out on the ground floor, waving to the doorman "Hey Jensen!" She called. "Good morning Ms. Caper." The old man replied. He'd worked at her building almost as long as she'd lived there, he was a good friend, shame he was human and probably wouldn't live much longer.
She walked out onto the sidewalk, New York was as busy as ever, and she was almost trampled walking out of her building. "HEY! WATCH IT! JUST CAUSE I'M SHORT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN WALK OVER ME!" She shouted at said man who had nearly trampled her.
He replied with a hasty "Sorry." and walked off. Food had been found, and she followed it. Eventually they reached and alleyway, the area seemed particularly clear, and she didn't think many people would really notice or care anyway.
She quickly grabbed him by the arm, tugging him down the alley "C'mon let me show you something!" She shouted, giggling. "I-what-wait!" The man shouted, helplessly being dragged along by a little girl that had the strength of three world champion wrestlers.
She quickly tossed him over her shoulder into a few trash cans and hovered over him. "Now then..I'm hungry, and you owe me more than a 'sorry' for nearly injuring me." She spoke calmly and precise. The man tried to get up and speak, but she simply stuck her boot to his chest pinning him down and leaning in closer, bearing her fangs.
"Now, if you play nice, you get to live? Sound fun?" She said cheerily, much like a little kid would speak about playing a game. The man slowly shook his head, and she dug in, biting his neck.
After a few minutes she retracted from him and fished out a small Hello Kitty band-aid from her pocket placing it on his neck before wiping her mouth off. "Mm. Thank you mister! That's much better!" She shouted, hugging him and helping him up.
Now, what she didn't notice was he had a small pocket knife in his hand, which he stabbed directly into her stomach. "Owwww!" She cried, holding her wound, which slowly began to heal. "Meanie!" She cried, with her free hand in one swift motion she removed the knife from the holster under her shirt and returned the stabbing in the gut to him.
He slowly fell to the ground, clutching his wound. She ripped the knife out of her, the wound beginning to close more. "THIS WAS MY FAVORITE OUTFIT, YOU JERK!" She yelled before lodging his knife in his eye socket and retrieving her own, licking the blood off and returning it to it's holster.
Well, no reason to let good blood go to waste, and besides she needed it to heal anyway. And so, she finished draining him and walked out of the alleyway. Lucky for her to the common eye blood blended pretty well with her outfit, so she didn't have to worry about being questioned.
She walked the rest of the way to The Kingdom and practically broke the door down getting in. "Hellooo everyone!" She shouted excitedly. "Sorry I'm late today Jon, food was a bit...resistant today. He even ruined my favorite top! I'll have to buy a new one now.." She spoke as she walked over, gesturing towards the small tear and healing gash.
She hopped onto the counter and sat on it, swinging her legs like a kid in a swing. "Sooo, whats up guys?" She said smiling, talking generally to everyone in the room. "Your fashion sense is as impeccable as always Jeanette! No, really! Where'd you get your skirt and do you think they have one in my size?" She spoke sincerely, smiling the entire time. "Take me shopping with you next time, okay? I need a new top after today..kinda."
She almost completely ignored Theta until she had adressed everyone else. "Oh, didn't notice you halfie. I suppose your top is nice. Mines still better though, hole included." She spoke, this time not smiling.
Of course, she quickly swapped attention, laying backwards on the counter to face Jon. "C'mon Jon, pour me a drink! You know I can't get my day started on blood alone!" She told him, giggling, still swinging her feet in the air.
She wondered if any of the families had figured out her posistion in the Capers, the Blackwoods and Theta specifically. Not that she really cared, she was the Capers hitman for a reason after all.
