Similar to what he did. Make the armor you have as Bonus, and have Superior Kinetic weapons. I know you're the war dog, but you don't need to be top dog in every roleplay, you know.

P.S. - it's a simple system, agreed upon by 3 GM's. You want special armor? You can have it. We made it so you can. But you can't have everything, just like we can't. It's fair

If he wants to start getting overpowered, then fine. The point of the matter is that he ISN'T, because we specialize in certain things to avoid having superamazing combinations that can stop anything. Well, at least, combinations in the same field.

Therefore he's getting 2 bonus techs and having 2 different weapon types at advanced levels that can kill a fleet twice as large as his in half the time, and take little to no damage.

I don't run this show alone. I did make the rule system, however, and Alfhedil is not following that system. Everyone else is. But if Keyguy and Wilson say he's fine, I have no say, it is majority vote, and we all have equal power. I'm just the lesser guy sorting paperwork anyway

I am saying that if he decides to be stupid and make himself overpowered, then everyone else in the RP will notice and will likely dislike the power of this small state- and thus gain tension and uneasiness. People such as the very full of themselves Dracs will bristle. In making onself powerful and independent, one isolates themselves from the community, because they are setting themselves apart from the others.

I already said that I haven't read the apps. I've got a bunch of stuff going on, including several other posts and my own nation sheets.

If that's true, @Alfhedil, then change it. Right now, if you would. One superior tech for each type, one standard tech for each type, and one substandard, I think. I'll check it tomorrow.

When I finish my nation sheet, I'll go and review everyone else's, okay? And if I find anything wrong, I'll make sure to say so.

Right, after stepping away from the computer for a few hours, I have returned to address the issues I have here. First off, Cale, I have never RP'd with you before, nor had any interaction prior to this NRP. Unless of course, you once operated under a different moniker, in which case that may be a prudent thing to disclose. It is such, that your quick snip of: "you don't need to be top dog in every roleplay, you know." caught me a bit off-guard, namely in the respect of that being something I was not intending, nor have I ever intended for my nation concept. From the beginning, I discussed my nation concept with you as being a vassal-state, and for the most part heavily dependent upon your nation. Hardly the behaviors of one trying to be the top dog. Nor have I been posturing my nation in a way that would suggest that they are the best, or even close. I'll refer you to a point where I openly refused to discuss what would beat what. It's not my style, I don't like PvP in free-form NRPs, unless it's something completely discussed between both parties and agreed upon before hand. I am not some wanton conqueror of other nations, not like many of the examples that could be cited in other NRPs here, and become the cause of death for RPs.

So yes, I reacted negatively to your post, and have every right to be irate with you, as it was a barb at me out of nowhere. At least in my eyes. I'm not attempting to break any rules, and honestly, I'm not going to argue with you about them. What I will say, is that at no point have I ever claimed anything my nation has as being: "that can kill a fleet twice as large as his in half the time, and take little to no damage." That's rather absurd, for anyone in the RP. If that's honestly how you feel the major nations are in this NRP, then I'm afraid that I'm going to say point-blank, that's bullshit. It's honestly kind of funny, that I've already hampered my nation with political unrest, the dependence upon a foreign nation for something as necessary as food, and base them upon just a handful of planets, and there's this claim of "Overpowered" and "Unfair".

That's my piece. Now, if you want to have a go at me over your rules, then be prepared, I'll have a go. I am well prepared to discuss this as an adult and have an intellectual discussion with you on where and why your system fails, and the arbitrary nature of the entire thing.

Or, we can just RP, and not bicker over something as ridiculous as statistics in an RP. I am here to craft a story, not play a game. If I want to play a game, I'll boot up one of many on my computer.

@AlfhedilYou made your weapon tech level Superior, after choosing two weapons. You get to choose one weapon tech, that's the rule. And until @WilsonTurner and @Keyguyperson read your app, which I will make a copy of, I'm saying no to your current bonus tech.

If that Plate is how you want your armor to appear, that's fine, but you require a base type of armor, that's the rule. I explained that to you in the Interest Check.

Everyone has similar tech. Majors have given tech. Minors can defend against Majors, even with the 1 Substandard tech level. There's IC rules that make it so a Major can't slaughter a Minor without upsetting the galaxy and causing the Major to get their face smashed in.

I don't want to fight, here or IC, but asses have to be covered and things checked. I made the system simple so there would be no arguments about a battle as who won or who lost. I've explained the rules, so everyone knows how to fight.

With your current tech, you could fight a Major, take their hits, and dish out two Superior weapon types (excluding bonus tech) which usually people are prepared with techs to defend against one type. You catch the person who can't defend against those weapons, and they have little to no chance to fight back, killing them before help arrives.

On another note, we have roleplayed before, I've went through a few because I didn't reserve or care to reserve the names. We've roleplayed many times, and it's funny you actually let me join your roleplays considering what I said to you, but you got your revenge, no doubt.

But that's beside the point. I do expect you to pull something in this roleplay, but I can't tell you no, or tell you to get lost, or any similar, nor do I care to.

But you will follow the rules like everyone else. You are the only person that has not and wants to fight about.

It doesn't matter if it fails and I don't care for your logic arguments. The system can function, and for it to function, you must follow the rules. You have three options.
- Follow the rules
- Leave
- Wait until Keyguy and Wilson make a decision, then figure out what you'll do

While I will not argue them here, I maintain that there were no rules broken, and that Cale's accusations are quite ludicrous. Such is always the case when someone holds a vendetta against you. Wilson, I'm sure you will understand, what with how you and Duck are.

@AlfhedilIgnorance? This is 1+1=2,to argue that is idiocy. Off from the start, hmm, the only times I pulled attention to myself was to say 'please follow rules.' If 1 + 1 = 2, it still equals 2. If you don't like how we get to 2, that's no one's problem but your own.

Follow the rules, no one gets a special pass for being special.

I presented a theory of mine to @Keyguyperson and @WilsonTurner and they found it correct. My opinion doesn't have to matter in this situation, as I didn't persuade or bribe either of them, they came to the conclusion I was right because you didn't follow the system that everyone else seemed to be able to.

I had no issue with your Nation or you, I was civil in our discussions. Don't blame me, I was doing nothing wrong.

Off-topic - I was quite fond of the idea of politically wrangling with a Nation trying to become independent. A lot of the roleplay time I had ideas to approach it and such

1) There were totally rules broken.

2) @Keyguyperson Dickish? While accurate, I woulda called this particular instance childish more than anything.

3) Why wouldn't I make a full nation now? For the record, still deciding...
