On the topic of the Light MAS chassis- they can fly, right? Without having the Tesla Drive or boosters, I mean.

Yes, Light MAS's do not require Teslas or Boosters to fly. Teslas and Boosters just make them considerably more maneuverable/faster

Also, all MAS's can technically "fly" in space, by using their built in thrusters to move in different directions.

Well at the current moment and after looking over everybody's character sheets and what I can gather from their histories... I don't think Terin would trust any of you with a small child let alone thousands of dollars worth of military hardware. XD So until somebody proves themselves we are going with an NPC commander for now.

And oh no that would end horribly, Terin wouldn't be able to handle a MAS, as course corrections and the semantics involving the command of giant floating cinder blocks have too far been ingrained in his head. The movement capability alone of such crafts would only serve to blow his mind.

What I do find funny though is that most of the PCs are from the UEE working for a man that used to quite literally spend his days blowing up UEE Trading Ships, destroying countless UEE military vessels and bombarding their colonies until they were ashen ruins. Sure he may be a Coalition War Hero and a fairly nice man but he did some very not nice things to the UEE with a rather astonishing efficiency, so much so they sent out task forces to try and kill him. So I wonder how they would feel about that or him in general.

Given Alice's history with UEE High Command, I don't think she'd have many second-thoughts about that.

@Hexaflexagon Well, Jamy would probably condemn his acts, but then again, Jamy did pilot an experimental MAS and wreck a bunch of Coalition people before they sent in the MAD, with 4 Hardballers, so he would probably feel bad about what he did to his people as well. Even though he was an up-and-coming war hero, he still felt sympathetic towards those he destroyed. Didn't stop him from wrecking them, though.
