Actually, quick question. Could a FRAME dual wield autocannons? One in each hand?

Yup; if the weapon entry states it can be used in a single hand. In the case of the AFC-40/L, it can be:

Mount: carried, one or two hands

Larger autocannons and heavier calibers may require two hands for stability. Of course, wielding two also requires you to have enough spare power/weight.
You can mix and match different types of weapons as well, if both are one-handed.

The way it looks, from most characters written up so far, you guys are newer additions to the P. Panthers. But if anyone wants to have been tagging along for a longer period of time, that's fine. The unit was started three years ago, so I'd expect a few veterans, in fact. For the newer guys, the first mission will be an evaluation, of sorts.

I figure my character could be a veteran, not like a founding member or anything but Isabella probably came around in the earlier days. Kept my timeline ambiguous.

Ok, I will probably be making some minor changes to the CS, I'll let you know (to make sure I didn't screw it up.)

Oh and i would like to point out a couple things

1- I plan on being "the Heavy" big guns, big mech, heavy armor. (when the various upgrades are available)

2- I... dont see power anywhere but on the mech description. i do understand this my be because i am an idiot and or blind.

It's only in the FRAME descriptions. Everything that has weight is subtracted from the FRAME's power value. It's kind of abstract and just serves as a way to theoretically determine how much weight in equipment a FRAME's generator can power.

@Aristo

So.. let me double check, cos im not sure i understand.

an MP21-AC Handau
Power: 140
Weight: 85
if using the armament of
2x AFC-40/L Autocannon
MGR-2A Anti-tank Missile
(which is 36 weight)

with all that we are talking 131 power consumed yes?

So the FRAME has 140 power; it also has 85 weight. The weight of everything attached to a FRAME (including the FRAME's own weight) is subtracted from the power value.

140-85 = 55.

The weight of the equipment totals 36 (8+8+20)

55-36 = 19. The FRAME has 19 unused weight points and consumes 121.

No problem, glad that helped!
Naturally, as FRAMEs increase in size, they'll be able to support more taxing equipment and have larger power outputs at the cost of speed and mobility.

Exactly my plan. I always played a Longbow or Catapult in Mechwarrior as soon as i could get my hands on one. i think ill be doing the same. heavy artillery, thats me.

I'm wrapping up the sheet for team lead Cecilia Lang and we should be good to go once @Terminal and @Silverwind Blade have theirs done. I haven't heard from a few others in the IntCheck, but we can manage to take on more pilots after the start.
@Zackary are you still interested?

@EmptyArmorBernard looks good! In the FRAME sheet, could you specify how many of each weapon you've got and the weight, like in Commodore's? & The Weight section just below power is only for the base weight of the machine, before equipment is added.
Otherwise, he's all set and can be added with the other chars!

Done and done! Ready and waiting, I think I'll make BFF a vet in the Panthers too. It makes sense for a grampa like that.

I'll get mine up by Friday at the latest. I've got a concept for a recon/scout using a light FRAME at the moment. Probably a slightly older female, as I like to play older characters with more experience. Late 30's, maybe even early 40's; starting to move out of the peak of her performance and with a lot of stories under her belt, but still not found that one thing she feels like she 'should have' done with her career. Maybe with a divorce behind her, and a tragdy around that too.
Not really thinking of the sniper archetype, more along the lines of sensors, commo, etc. Maybe a forward observer type role; a snub-nosed autocannon and a pod of rockets to cause some chaos while disengaging 'with prejudice', and adding my firepower to the main assault once everyhing's scope out.
Are there any extra sensors, comms, ECM/ECCM or such I can get for my machine to add to that role?

Also, re: the Strangereal-esque world; would it also be like Ace Combat in the way that various recognizable brands/companies are still in existence, and should we take the same pop-culture as existing too, and a broad similarity in history? (i.e., there have been world wars in the past, for example). Just getting a feel for some of the aspects of the world we're playing in.

There'll be an assortment of options available after the 'trial' mission so you can specialize your FRAMEs further. Also, some FRAMEs will automatically come with additional equipment (the Zaruga has ECM off the bat). It's sort of like the Panthers is using the first mission as an evaluation of its new pilots, and after their acceptance, they're free to specialize and go nuts. Veterans will have to play along, just to keep it balanced.

The corporations and brands in this world aren't necessarily based on any real names, though some may be similar. Most similarities will be coincidence. However, there are parallels in history, pop-culture and so on: (the Emarran Council's conflict with the UKE and ISS is very, very loosely grounded in WWII; NSU and SSU are vaguely like North and South America, but only in geography and name, etc.).

Say hello to the Big Tray Samigina, the Panthers' Bhargest-class landcruiser. It's comparable in size to the US Navy's Independence-class littoral combat ship and has a similar base crew complement of around 40 personnel, plus FRAME technicians and support staff. Its main armament consists of a trio of three-barreled 57 mm multipurpose guns. It also has several .50 cal turrets, a CIWS and features two dozen missile pads. It can house up to twelve FRAMEs in its hangar (which will likely be our player limit for pilots).
