Nathalie and Rowan have been dating for a few months now, a sidetrack Nathalie didn’t really expect during her traveling following her graduation from Ashford. She traveled to speak with an old friend of her grandfather’s, a fellow writer who had co-written a few novels with him. She ended up also meeting Rowan and finding a sort of chemistry there and ended up staying in Dublin for awhile.
Rowan hasn’t told Nat a whole lot about his childhood or his family, being brief when he has mentioned them; a fact Nat didn’t pry for since she believed when he was comfortable he would tell her. As for Nat, Rowan is aware that her grandfather was a novelist and generally raised her, but she doesn’t talk about her mother and father at all. They spend most days talking about literature, art, and other things of the nature and Nat likes to think they have a pretty good connection.

Richard Davis and Olivia Carrington have been in an open relationship for about a year, which Richard has thinking hard about since Olivia’s pregnancy became apparent. He’s always been unsure about conventional marriage but feels like he should consider on proposing an engagement not because it is right but because it is necessary; and he’d rather avoid a PR disaster by the press.
His selfish motives set aside, he does care for Olivia in his own way. She’s beautiful, interesting, and a person he can relate to given they both come from high strung wealthy parents with huge expectations. If she can tolerate him at his worst, then who else could be better as a romantic partner? Lesser women have left him in shorter timeframes for menial reasons.

Nathalie Knox’s personality reflects in her appearance, for sure. With fiery red hair and vibrant blue eyes, she stands barely reminiscent of her parents outside of her skin tone— a fact that might be clear due to the fact that she has probably dyed her hair, though that would be a bit speculative. Nathalie isn’t too tall, bearing around the 5’2” - 5’3” range with a mildly athletic build but nothing too defined. As far as blemishes and their ilk, Nathalie doesn’t have many outside of some childhood gashes and cuts that didn’t heal too great— such as healed gash on her knee from an incident on her bicycle when she was ten. As for terms of preferences for clothes, Nathalie seems to be diverse in her sense of fashion with selections ranging from jackets, sweaters, business casual, formalwear, skirts, dresses, khakis; she’s not particularly picky though she loves to mix and match if she thinks it goes well with something else.

Affected emotionally by her father’s abandonment of herself and her mother when she was seven years old, Nathalie has had some rough adjustments to make up for. Partially due to her abandonment she found herself using a sense of humor as a sort of defense mechanism to shield her from the trauma of being thrown away— of which has become her defining trait of her personality. This humorous (and sometimes self-depreciative) sense of humor has been a great part of her charm and not just simply something she’s come to develop to defend herself from social and mental anxieties. However, such humor isn’t simply peppy sarcasm but can lead to annoyed side comments which due to her blunt nature can annoy others far more than her optimistic outlook.
Nathalie is blunt, as aforementioned, which is due to her dislike of deceptive lies and false promises. She feels like being honest is better than covering up thoughts even if it might be a better call to tell half-truths— a double-edged sword as it is. Despite her “absolute honesty” many find her company nice enough given her positive-thinking outlook, though on a few occasions it has led her to clash with realists and cynics alike who claim that her hopefulness is ridiculous to the point of absurdity. The daughter of Joseph Knox & Katherine Townes, Nathalie was born in southeastern Michigan to fairly mundane circumstances. Her father was a Police Detective and her mother was an artist and educator— both of them disappearing in her life when she was seven years old. As the story goes, Nathalie recalls little about the incident that would result in her mother’s death as it had occurred away from her eyes and ears; herself being watched by a babysitter in her childhood neighborhood by the name of Lauren Hart. Her mother had been killed in a scuffle leaving her car as she was about to return to her home, with the culprit taking off into the night. This led to her father to dive into his work and realizing his inability to watch his daughter sent her off to the only capable relative to be raised until the situation changed— Katherine Townes’ father, D.E. Townes.
David Edward Townes (D.E. Townes) had his own reputation, but after the funeral of his daughter he had no issues taking his daughter in as his son-in-law attempted to find the culprit and bring him to justice. Nathalie moved upstate to a small town her grandfather had lived for several years, tempering his loneliness with the atmosphere the town gave him. D.E. was an acclaimed author, screenwriter, and a former (at that point, retired) Professor of English at the University of Michigan. It was under Nathalie’s grandfather that she would learn the power of a good story and a hopeful mind. She would become so inspired by his life and his stories that she would follow his stead and aspire to become a writer herself— a talent she manifested in middle school in the small town. She would end up going to Ashford University before gathering a bit of wanderlust; of which she began traveling with some money her grandfather had left for her.
Her wanderlust ended up taking her to Dublin, Ireland— a place where she would meet her current boyfriend, Rowan Carrington, though she had originally traveled to Dublin to talk to a semi-retired novelist named Malcolm Kavanagh, a friend of her grandfather. Richard Davis strikes many as a striking young man, a fact that presumes he is appealing to many— if his “resume” of former girlfriends and flings have anything to say it is that this is generally true. Richard sets in at about 5’8” and due to a fast metabolism has little issue with his physique, a fact that is only accented by his own fitness regiments that have developed his muscles. Richard is well groomed, though even when he isn’t it seems to not do anything against his favor. In recent years he has kept a small beard over past clean-shaven appearances and his hair itself is generally cut short. As for clothing, Rich prefers to wear higher end material but isn’t too prissy about clothes— as long as he has a buttoned shirt, casual wear, and occasionally a suit & tie to accent his expensive watch he doesn’t care too much.

Richard has grown up his entire life in the shadow of his wealthy parents, a fact that has defined his personality. Growing up the son of a wealthy real estate mogul and a successful corporate lawyer, there were “standards” to keep within the Davis legacy— something that Richard would grow to tolerate despite his discontentment with. Though he tolerated these expectations later on, he did not start as such— having vibrant arguments with his parents over his lack of freedom and choice. But if it was just independence that Richard exhibited he would be far less toxic in reality; his upbringing fundamentally creating a myriad of personality flaws that are unpleasant in nature. This includes a fiery temper that comes out frighteningly violent— created from his father’s insistence on harsh discipline during Richard’s childhood. The son becomes the father, as it is said.
Both of Richard’s parents tried to instill conservative and religious values in him at a young age; a concept that just didn’t take. Richard has found himself in opposite company of that intent calling himself an agnostic atheist and not really caring about politics in general. A fact that would frustrate his deeply religious father and card carrying Republican Party mother— thus drawing more lines in the sand between parent and child. Despite these differences his parents still realized that Richard was quite intelligent; doing exceptionally well in the classroom despite not even trying— a fact that would only amaze them as he grew more and more independent with age. But his “natural” intelligence was not an excuse for Richard’s behaviors out of the classroom; a fact that Alexander Davis was not willing to allow going on in his household.

As the only son, Alexander had many expectations for Richard as an “heir” and as a son; a fact that was evident by his parenting decisions throughout Richard’s life. The lessons didn’t turn out to be favorable results as Alexander Davis would learn; his and his wife’s grooming of their son resulting in much often the opposite result of what they wanted. The news getting to him of his father’s death in a car accident whilst abroad. Whilst some children would abhor this memory, Richard relishes in it and laughs at how it makes out. He is thankful that the inheritance of his father’s fortune and company fell on him— something the Master’s Degree was good for.

Richard Davis and Olivia Carrington have been in an open relationship for about a year, which Richard has thinking hard about since Olivia’s pregnancy became apparent. He’s always been unsure about conventional marriage but feels like he should consider on proposing an engagement not because it is right but because it is necessary; and he’d rather avoid a PR disaster by the press.
His selfish motives set aside, he does care for Olivia in his own way. She’s beautiful, interesting, and a person he can relate to given they both come from high strung wealthy parents with huge expectations. If she can tolerate him at his worst, then who else could be better as a romantic partner? Lesser women have left him in shorter timeframes for menial reasons.

@Undine Thanks will do and will work on the relations...do the Plus 1 need to the relations too? I mean...Amelia would not know much about Charlie's parents much...she hasn't met them yet...just heard things..
And yes. EVERYONE is required to fill out a relationship sheet for Reginald and Cassiopeia Carrington, even the plus ones. The only reason I haven't got on everyone's cases yet is because both are still under construction. Once they're posted and finished though, everyone must fill one out. This is to just make things easier for us, as GMs to see how the parents should interact with everyone. And hopefully, encourage people to fill it out in it's entirety as well.
Some of the plus ones should have somewhat of an idea of who the Carringtons are, if not from a Carrington, then from a magazine or the media. Mainly Reginald and Cassiopeia, but some like Marisol would be featured heavily in various articles, I assume.

Here's the start of Marisol's relations....let me know what you guys think :)
"Welcome to my complicated life...and family."
"He's a scary man....but maybe has more emotions than mother."
Marisol has always been a bit scared off her father and his presence that demands respect. Whilst, she struggles to respect him at times, she always did her best. But past memories of him punishing her for a little accidents-left her with a deep dislike towards her father. Mari wishes, she would have been bit closer to at least one parent-but both of them have caused her damage that's stayed with her. She's not even sure how to approach him with a smile on her face-it's easy for her to be intimated by her own father.
"She's not a mother, she never acts like one...but a heartless machine. She makes me feel tired of trying to be perfect...no one is ever good enough for her."
Marisol does not have fond memories of Cassiopeia what-so-ever. The woman that's supposed to be her mother; had never acted motherly towards her or any of the other siblings. Marisol sees and remembers as cold, emotionless and barely there to raise her and her siblings. There were times, where she has been disciplined by her mother and father alike-but in a very strict manner. Marisol is rather tired, of trying to act perfect and trying to perfect herself beyond abilities and measures to satisfy her mother. Marisol address, Cass in a cold manor when calling her 'Mother'. The woman doesn't deserve to be called anything, after all...she hasn't been there.
Over all-Marisol just feels like a failure in her parent's eyes. Deep down, their family and she wants to see if this trip will restore any frail bonds. But it's highly doubtful, it won't get any better than what is.

Growing up, Marisol was taken under Tatiana's wing. The two girls grew close and are still closer than with other siblings. Mari felt protected by Tatiana when it came to their parents wrath, but she didn't escape every punishment due to Tatia's protection. Tatia, or Tati as Marisol likes to call her-has been more of a role-model and mother figure to Marisol than Cassiopeia. Tatiana even taught Marisol Russian-their secret code language of sorts. Marisol adores her older sister-and Tatia is one of the reasons why she moved and stayed in New York. The two girls can cause trouble at times.

Being around Gabe-Mari felt affection, love, safety and warmth that she didn't feel from their parents. She looks up to and loves her big brother. Whilst she felt they were close as kids-that closeness has been lost due to being in different places-not seeing each other that often like before. But she still tries to keep in touch with her big brother. She remembers her taught her knowledge that school did not-one of the perks of having a smart brother who's like a walking encyclopedia. Mari hopes, to re-kindle the closeness they once had.

Whilst Marisol and Rowan always had a rather steady and good relationship, with him being another protective person in her life. There have been a few incidents between them-especially when it came to him trying to please his father. It irritated her at times-she didn't understand, why he couldn't be happy just being himself. She felt like he was trying to hard to be like their father...in trying to achieve perfection. She loves her brother, but sometimes she wishes he would try and please himself...and be happy with how he turned out. He has a good thing going for himself...so why try and impress those, that made them run off and not look back?
'My baby brother....we've always been close, after everyone else have left home. If there's something I regret, is leaving Charlie behind with our parents.'
Being the two youngest of the family-Marisol and Charlie were maybe the closest of the siblings that had been left behind once everyone left. Often playing together and getting each other into trouble. Marisol tried to protect and look after her younger brother-like Tatia did after her. She didn't want to see Charlie get hurt...but there came a time when she too left, leaving him alone. She regretted leaving like that...but there was only so much she could take. Nonetheless, she's proud of her baby-brother and what he has achieved. She still keeps in touch with Charlie, if he ever needs someone to talk to...she's there.
'He's the love of my life. He just makes me feel alive and like I can be myself. There's no need for perfection and pretentious behavior lie at home.'
During High-school the two love-birds met during his arrival. Marisol had been asked to show him around the school and they shared a few lessons together. Marisol helped him settle in-they studied together and got to know each other during the first few months of their relationship. It wasn't long before Marisol learned about his recent loss and the anger and sadness that was within him-Marisol felt his heart-ache and she did her best to console him. As the two grew closer and fell in love. Whilst Pete sometimes struggled behind-Marisol was always there to keep him on track and help him out.
She was there to comfort him, when his nightmares came alive and she still tries to console him when the nightmares kick in. She knows both sides of who he is and she loves him for who he is, and how far he's come along in the past 6 years. She wouldn't change anything for the world-she's proud of him and where he's trying to get to. She supports his writing career, just like he supports her and the decisions she makes. They are two peas in a pod. With this trip-Marisol is worried and tense about how everyone will react to Peter due to his background and lesser status than theirs. She isn't bothered by his lower class-but she knows her parents would be.
