(11 Mins till) Operation Cleanse
Quarantine wall

The J.S.D.F ( Japanese Self Defense Force ), were occupying the opposite side of the Quarantine wall, keeping the Onyxian threat from escaping, on the other side in the ocean, were several navel boats that occupied a navy that watched Kyushu 24/7. Droves of Hunters occupied the heliport as helicopters roamed the skies watching the wall from above. Before any of the Hunters got a chance to jump into a chopper to jump into the fight, the new Eastern leader stopped them and stood in front of the giant group of Hunters, she stepped in front of them stepping with her heels, when she stepped in front of them the sun came out and shined down on her back making looked as if she glowed with a bright radiant light.

It was Lady Jun, she put her sheathed katana down in front of her and placed both her hands onto the handle of the blade." Hunters !" She called out to all of them, getting everyone's attention, even some of the Military soldiers." The creatures on the other side of that wall aren't human, no matter what they look like they will try to kill you, they have no remorse, no humanity, and no intelligence. There will be some that look like monster from nightmares, but they aren't the ones you have to be careful for, it's the ones that look like us. On the other side of that wall you will encounter monster in human clothing, monsters that look like you and me, they will claim that they are humans or have humanity like us, but their lying through their teeth."

" When we go on the other side of that wall, you will have to have no mercy towards the enemies you face, if you show mercy towards your enemies then consider it slitting your own throat and killing yourself. I won't lie to any one of you, on the other side of that wall is nothing but utter chaos and insanity, and I can't guarantee anything to any of you besides the sun coming up everyday." Lady Jun grabbed her sheathed sword and put it onto her waist strap, she turned around as the transport helicopters began starting up Jun turned to everyone one last time.

" Remember this ! We're the Hunters ! Their the beast ! Let the Hunt begin." The Hunters began to pile into the Helicopters and began getting taken over to the other side of the wall.

Meanwhile

In the Quarantine, things were, like Lady Jun was saying in Chaos really, Invalids, people who were probably family members to some of the survivors were chasing down people and tearing them apart with their claws, the streets were filled with some abandoned cars and stores were smashed into by large cars and people were trying look for safety, many Onyxians were scattered around the city and were doing their own thing, trying to survive, looting, killing people, or trying to escape and failing at it, and or battling each other better than a pokemon battle and a Final fantasy battle all in one really, it almost looked like an anime or something.

When the Hunter's choppers began flying over the walls, the first thing survivors did on the ground were run out of their hiding places to yell for help, and sadly the poor sods that were excited and trying to be quick to get out of this hell, got jumped by several Invalids and torn apart almost limb from limb, before any of the Hunters could choose to help the survivors Lady Jun spoke of the chopper radios." We're not here to help the survivors, we're here to purge the world of these abominations, those people survived long on their own, they can survive just a bit longer." Jun told them all.

When the Helicopters gotten to Fukuoka University, the university was changed over to a base for the Hunters the building was reinforced and had several dozen men and women Hunters that kept the place safe, with lead, steel, and other means, it was suppose to be their home away from home. Along with the Hunters, there were several Military soldiers that were around helping defend and offering help to the Hunters. When the choppers allowed the Hunters to jump out everyone grabbed their gear, weapons and sent goodbye text messages, ( Who ever did is an insensitive ass ) or called up their mothers, fathers, or loved ones to tell them goodbye and gotten some good luck from them before they headed out for their mission.

In Fukuoka city

The smarter Onyxians and some of the smarter Survivors that lived in this hell, knew that something was going down, they knew that a group of helicopters flying into the quarantine wasn't a sign that they weren't all getting free cars and a shit ton of debt behind it, some of them figured that some challengers have appeared, only one of them figured out that something bigger was happening. Residing on one of the rooftops and noticing the helicopters that went to Fukuoka university, a Lone Onyxian sat on the ledge of a building by herself and too her phone out of her cleavage showing shirt and dialed someone up on her phone." Hey boss guy, it looks like those assholes with the guns on the other side of the wall decided to come over with a bunch of their people." She told the person on the other line.

" So what's the plan for these shit heads ?" She asked.

"Nice... I like that plan, I know what I'm doing later then."

"What..You know that I'm gonna find the little bitch that was pussy enough to kill my mother."

" Yeah, talk to you later." She hung up on the person that she was talking to and looked down on the people killing eachother in the streets and the invalids that decided to join into the fight.

An hour, or something, some fuck if I know time later

Hunters began to patrol the streets, a full moon filled the sky and the freak were out ready to find and feast on the new hunters if they weren't careful, Onyxians were also out and about but were wary of the Hunters, some of them were cut down and killed while others killed some Hunters. It was almost equal matching, but nobody was keeping track of who killed more of who really, but at this time Hunters were getting their bearings and learning their way around Fukuoka.

An old man was sitting on the corner of two streets crossing, observing all that happened. He looked at what happened to the survivors who ran out. How would his actions look to the hunters? He wasn't yet torn apart by invalids, so that was a plus, but if he was a survivor, would they gun him down? Would the hunters think of him as a threat? Because he, an old man, had survived for so long? Or would they take him in? As an adviser on how to avoid Invalids, that would be funny, if not outright awesome. Of course, he would help them, all he wanted was to take back this city of his, not destroy the people living in it, the survivors would be his first target.

He walked towards the carnage that was going on near where the people who hunted arrived, sneaking past all of the Invalids, he acted as though he didn't want to be caught, by any guards that were stationed near the first landing place. He really just wanted to see what they would do if he told them how to sneak past Invalids. Not that he knew how, he just wasn't noticed by them until now.
So, what would happen, if he would... Now. He stumbled behind a guard patrol, not attracting a lot of attention, just enough to be noticed by one, maybe two people. He put his hands in the air.

He was a survivor, seriously! He did his best not to grin, he knew he had the advantage here, they maybe knew the terrain, they maybe had backup, but if they attracted the attention of Invalids, however short the distraction, he could be gone. Now all that was left to do was to wait for their reactions, maybe they were those who first asked, maybe they were those who didn't help, maybe they were those who shot first, all that mattered, they were human, they were prey.

Mao gave a heavy sigh as he looked away from his half eaten jar of peach preserves onto the grit and blood caked streets below the apartment complex that he'd taken refuge in for the night. How long had it been since he'd been trapped in the quarantine zone? The hell if he knew. However long it had been, it was long enough for him to know when the helicopters started flying by overhead to drop off groups of armed men and women that something big was going down. Perhaps they government was finally taking back the island that they'd lost so long ago, or maybe there was some sort of cure to the virus that ravaged the island's inhabitants somewhere in the city. Whatever the case, Mao was determined to stay out of whatever was going on for as long as he could, unless of course, a chance to escape presented itself.

A snuffling sound at the door sent a cold chill up Mao's spine. The man stood stone still and clasped his hands over his nose and mouth to mask any noises he may have produced while breathing. The smell of vinegar still wafted heavily in the air from when he'd poured it around the front doorway to mask his scent. The creatures, the invalids, he'd learned pretty early on that they couldn't see worth shit, but that didn't mean that that their other senses weren't working just fine. Keeping under their radar was tricky -especially during nights like these, when the beasts were especially riled up- but thus far his methods had been effective in keeping him from ending up as a meal. Only when the snuffling subsided did Mao dare to lower his hands. "This fucking sucks." He whispered bitterly to himself as he took up his meal and scooped out another chunk of peach with grimy fingers.

Mao quickly and quietly finished his meal before wiping his hands off on his pants and taking the opportunity to see what resources he had left. The fullmoon was a pretty piss poor light source, but it did the job. Five pounds of food remained, he would have to go out and scrounge for more soon, his canteen contained about half a liter of water -another issue to be dealt with, however the filtration straw seemed to be in working order, he was still full on bandages, and the flint and knives where a tad chipped but still in working order, as was his dao. Mao brought out his hand gun and examined the weapon for any signs that it might've been rusting or broken, then checked the magazine to ensure that the fourteen rounds he had left where indeed fourteen before quietly sliding the mag back into the weapon. Everything seemed to check out, all he had to do now was wait. Night hunts were risky, but they yielded a higher chance for reward since other survivors usually chose to hide at night. All Mao needed was a bit of patience, and he'd have his chance to move.

Delilah

Delilah was silent throughout the entire orientations, her smirk saying all that she needed to. She regarded Lady Jun with the ghost of a nod before filing into the massive helicopters like all the rest. A silent beginning gave way for an equally silent arrival to the Hunter’s base. Delilah scanned the area, raising an eye at some of the people she saw, before heading to a small corner.

It was there where she would bide her time, flipping a lone knife in her palm, until the time to initiate the mission began. Soon enough, she was out in the contaminated city, bathed by the pale moon light and walking along with her squad. Her knife sheathed in its place, she continued with her ever calm demeanor even as night fell down upon them all.

That was when she sensed the alien presence that was tagging along. Still, her reaction was nothing more than her smirk getting slowly bigger. She soon picked up the pace until she walked right beside the leader of their squad. Keeping an eye on their little Alice, she continued to walk slowly and act as the Rabbit. Then when Alice went for the Rabbit hole…

“Sir, you should probably know that we have a straggler following us. Your orders?” she asked, lazed smirk persistent on her features even in the dark.

Jing exhales, the taste of cheap menthol coating his tongue in wet sticky beads, the only lights available to him being the moon and the faint orange ember hovering just before his lips. The air is cold atop the street lamp tonight, though he counted his blessings. He was still too far from the university to be concerned with hunters, at least just yet. "Must be getting near the winter months..." he thought, marveling at how quickly it had gotten dark. He had left his temporary camp earlier in the day. The neighbors (a small band of humans who were managing to hole up in a autoshop) where abuzz with news. Evidently they'd been radio'd by a friend, saying there was a huge rescue force amazing in Fukuoka university. At least that is what he could hear from eves dropping near the shops perimeter.

He shadowed the group as they began heading towards the university an hour or so later. There was little emotional concern for their safety on his part. Over the last four weeks he'd neither said, nor been seen by, any one of them. He was certain that they knew of him, at least distantly. Shots in the night at the occasional invalid that wandered to close to his own hiding spot, missing rations, or the occasional Cabal of Invalids who would simply just wander away were hard for them to just write off as coincidence.

Following them was a calculated act of altruism, as was leading away the cabal of Invalids now slapping blindly at the base of the pole confused as to where the origin of the smell that had lead them on a four mile chase was hiding. Regardless of if the sudden increased presence of J.S.D.F was a rescue mission or not, hunters would soon follow. After all, noone was out to save him or other Onyxians. He'd want know what they were doing in when he ran afoul of a hunter, sooner rather than later. "And if it is a rescue..." He thinks, dropping the spent cigarette onto the invalids below, the pack tearing at the offending smell. "The good press from the survivors about how 'safe' the area was should buy me some time before I need to move.".

He begins heading back towards the convince store the survivors made camp in, confident he had dealt with the last of invalid problems they would have for the night, leaping from street lamp to street lamp as casually as stepping stones. He writes a chill of unease running down his spine off as yet another symptom of the oncoming winter, and vows to scavenge a coat as soon as he gets the chance.

Abe

Abe listened to their "leader" without many qualms. As their leader began to speak about being hunters, about the enemy being beasts, Abe couldn't help but grimace. She made it seem like it was a game, like she was holding back beasts to unleash upon a gated hellzone. At least, that's how Abe interpreted it. Still, a personal disapproval wouldn't stop him from sharing his disdain for what was on the other side of that wall with the others. He shook his head in disapproval as he prepared what little equipment he brought with him; the clothes on his back, a broom, and a revolver. He entered one of the last helicopters, along with the others.

The trip was short, but it seemed like such a long moment in time. Abe didn't move while on the helicopter. A mixture of fear and duty compelled him not to move, but inside, a shard of excitement brewed. He wanted to slay the beasts. Not for the thrill of hunting, not by any stretch. He just didn't want anyone else to experience the pain that he had. As such, he needed to remove the cause of pain. The helicopter began to lower as Abe prepared to touch down.

As the helicopter planted its metal feet on the ground, Abe leapt out of the helicopter. His broom in hand, he began to roam the relatively empty area, sweeping for any invalids that may have been around.

Coconuts

Coconuts watched the helicopters as they flew from above from a small window in a cellar. Her initial opinion was distrusting, to say the least. She instantly ducked, hiding her entire body. After a few moments had passed where nothing had happened, she slowly rose up and observed some more. Some Chinooks and Black Hawks; names Coconuts only knew because she remembered the training while she served in the JSDF. She quickly scrambled to grab her notepad from somewhere in the room. She didn't really know where it was. She forgot where she put it. She looked around, quietly tearing the place apart while she searched for her notes. At last, she found them, but it was too late. The helicopters were too far away from her now.

Her afraid demeanor quickly ended. She wanted to see what was happening. What was going on; what would warrant the JSDF coming here again. She grabbed her bag, filled it with a day's worth of food and water, her medical tools and supplies, and her notepad and pen. She opened the small window and slowly climbed through it. Upon reaching the other side, she closed the window and covered it with some scraps that hid it from view.

As Coconuts walked through the streets at the rising light of morning, she spoke to herself extremely quietly. "Not afraid... Not afraid..." She chanted in a hushed tone. She was quite afraid, to be honest. But, her thirst for knowing what was happening got the better of her. She took out her pen and notepad. They made her feel safer.

Luckily, the streets that she walked upon were empty, except for the rubble and violated corpses that lay along the path of the road. Coconuts wrote as she walked. More accurately, drew. It seemed to be a safe road, but the mixture of old and new carcasses made her think that something passed through the streets every once in a while. She stealthily continued to write and walk.

Coconuts continued to walk. More aimlessly, if anything.

The old man approached the unit, and as he did that, he put his hands higher up. "I swear, I was not tailing you, I was trying to find you, but I was not tailing you." He bowed to the leader of the squad. "I am a survivor, and I wanted to ask you one thing, can I stay with you, for at least a little while? I have skills that you could use, and I know this city." He said it all without dropping a single hint about his identity, and he didn't want to share it at all.

He looked up at the leader, and then at the woman standing next to the leader. Her lazy smirk was somewhat unsettling to him, probably because usually he was the one wearing such a smirk. But here, here he was the one who had the disadvantage, he didn't like it, but he would live with it. "May I know what your squad is doing here? I thought that this place was safe already."

Mao woke with a start as he felt a familiar pressure begin to build up in his bladder. He didn't realize he'd fallen asleep, but given the fact that he was still fairly lucid he had a feeling that he hadn't been out for very long. He gave a soft grunt as he got up from his spot on the floor and felt the dull throbbing of his aching muscles spark to life with the sudden change in activity. Mao stretched a bit, doing his best to relieve the pain with a mental note to scrounge for some pain killers if he could find the time, then he tiptoed towards the balcony, doing his damnedest to avoid stepping on or kicking over anything that might create noise. The bathroom was a no go- some poor bastard had decided to go out the old fashioned way and taken a dip with their toaster. The sight and scent of the decayed body covered in all manner of molds and mildew wasn't exactly something he felt comfortable relieving himself next to if he had other options available, and so instead he went out into the darkness and promptly did his business over the railing.

He could still hear the helicopters in the distance, which more than likely meant that the invalids could too. "Time to move." He mused as he went back in and gathered his supplies. He paused, just once, to see he could hear anything from beyond the front door. It was silent, but that didn't mean that the horrors weren't simply lying in wait. Mao trekked through the apartment to gather anything he could tie into a rope; blankets, towels, even the moldy shower curtain from the bathroom, although Mao had to fight to keep from spilling his dinner when he grabbed it. He tied them all together as best he could and slipped back out onto the balcony. The room he was in was on the third floor, the makeshift rope would get him about twenty two feet down, leaving an eight foot drop. Assuming he didn't land the wrong way then that wasn't too bad. After tying the rope to the railing and giving it a few tugs, Mao began to make is way down, pausing twice when he nearly slipped on a bit of mold, and when he thought he heard something scuffling about nearby. At the end of his rope Mao dropped down with a grunt, covered in mold and mildew stains, but none the worse for wear. He looked up at the pale moon to see how far it had traveled across the sky while he'd slept, then began to jog into the darkness to begin his scavenging hunt.

As many hunters called their loved ones Rina began to check her gear to be able to get ready for what was outside of the University. She had no mother, or father to call; siblings was something she never had from the start. It was quite ridiculous to know that some of the hunters had something to look forward to like a new life for those loved ones, but all Rina wanted to do was kill what had killed many times over. Her skills were not top notch, but they were better than average so that would have to do now that they were all going to enter an unusual war zone. Not only was Rina checking her weapons, but she was also checking her prosthetics since they'd have to be their best in the battlefield. No prosthetic was perfect, but she would have to make sure it was at its best as well as have the tools to check them when they weren't. Because she had prothetics her strength as well as her agility would be stronger than before, but that also meant that she'd have a clear weakness to the enemy no matter how dumb or smart the enemy was. Not only that, but at times the prosthetics would be more of a liability than an asset which would make her the weakest link in a team. It were these reasons alone that had made her choose to be a sniper, and even then her skills would be limited. It was almost laughable at how she was able to become a hunter despite all the flaws she had-

As they made their way out onto the battlefield the first thing Rina would have to do would be to find a decent spot to shoot. she looked around the decimated areas to try, and find a spot that was easy to reach, but not too easy; a spot that she could escape from with minimal chance of being discovered, and not be easily visible through the outside. Some place where she could hunker down, yet not be too comfortable. Because she was with a group she figured it'd be fine to be able to gain some distance from them since she wasn't part of the vanguard. Besides, she'd be able to have their back as long a she stayed somewhat close, and chose her spots well to be able to still be agile while moving with the group. One thing she was wondering was how a guy with a broom was going to fight off Onyxians, but of course she'd simply have to see how that would play out. I should keep an eye on him in case his broom breaks...

Continuing to look around Rina had found a possible spot that she could turn into base as well as a place to rest for the night. If the others would cooperate she'd take first watch. As she looked back to her teammates Rina cleared her throat to be able to speak loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Uhm," she hesitated, but continued. "I think that place is good," she pointed to the 2nd floor of an apartment building "We need to make a general plan as well as rest while we have the time to."

She wasn't nervous to speak her mind, but she was hesitant since the others looked to be pretty hype about them finally going onto the battlefield. Even if they didn't feel like hunkering down for the night Rina would still go to be able to make that place into her shooting range, but she didn't want to have to waste all of her energy trying to enter the room she planned to go in. After all, there's no telling how many Onyxians are in that apartment building alone.

Smiley spent most of his time during the orientation spinning his black revolver around in his hand. Everything was quite entertaining for him so far. After the helicopter flight was over he stuck pretty close to the group. Not saying anything and keeping watch while also gathering as much information on his group as well. The arrival of the old man had thrown him off his thought process however. He's pretty suspicious. How could an old man have lasted this long? And why is he so calm to come up to us? The woman with the knife by the captain wearing the smirk seemed to be suspicious of him as well.

The most alarming thing is if the man starts a situation there will probably be invalids crawling all over the place from the noise. Smiley kept himself ready to pull his rifle from his back. After all, it was silenced. If he took the shot and got him first there probably wouldn't be a problem.

The girl with the prostheses distracted him for a moment with her suggestion. He looked over to the building she pointed out and compared it with others in the area. It seemed to be the best one to him as well. But nobody can be certain of the dangers within. "Yeah, that sounds good to me." He responded in agreement.

Mao slipped through the back alleys and debris that littered the streets of the city with little more sound than the occasional clinking of the cans in his backpack whenever he picked up his pace. He was on high alert at the moment, his exposure making him behave more like that of a deer caught out in the open than a man. Mao's movements were measured and extremely cautious, though he tried to keep a good speed going as he swiveled his head this way and that, trying his damnedest to see in every direction possible to ensure he wasn't being crept up on by someone or something. Invalids where the main threat to be on the look out for, but that didn't mean that the people or wild dog packs that roamed the streets were to simply be ignored. Threats came in all shapes and sizes in Fukuoka.

He ducked into yet another alley way as he caught a glimpse of a shadow shuffling about in the corner of his eye. Was it a person? A dog? An Invalid? Mao didn't know, and he most certainly didn't give a shit. Mao turned to run down the alley only to realize that his efforts would be met with a brick wall this time. Muttering a small string of curses he turned back around and prepared for what might come next. He drew his dao from his sheath, trying to muffle the sound of the metal sliding against wood by cupping the opening of the sheath with a gloved hand and lightly pinching the blade between his index finger and thumb as he drew it slowly. When fully exposed, the blade gave off a dull reflective glow in the moon light, marred by flecks of rust that came from a mixture of dried blood, water spotting, or simply the ravages of time. Mao crouched to try and reduce his chances of being seen, intent on engaging whatever was coming his way only if he was given no other options.

As the group of Hunters traveled together through the city, and were soon followed by an onyxian, the second he was confronted he told them that he was survivor, when the others stared at him and spoke to him, soon Lady Jun appeared behind the old man with her blade lightly resting on the man's shoulder." A Survivor." Jun said aloud, she soon walked into his line of sight along everyone else's she stood in between the Hunters and the old man, he apparently questioned them about what their squad was doing and Lady Jun wasn't really going to answer it clearly or even do so." Well survivor, I would ask you the same thing, what are you doing sneaking up on one of my squads ? Shouldn't you be busy trying to scrounge together a meal and avoid the onyxians ?" She asked him. Jun had her sword pointed directly at him and looked him in the eye, Jun was scanning him for anything that could make him an enemy and believe he was highly since he was following one of her Squads.

But soon the little confrontation would've had to wait, a large group of Invalids began crawling out of the sewers drains and some began coming out of the building ruins around them, Jun noticed that they were surrounded, she was looking around the best she could without moving too much, she could guess 12 at the least were around them, the survivor could wait for the moment the safety of the squad was the thing that mattered the most in this situation." Everyone I believe we are surrounded by hostiles, I would also believe they may come from almost every angle, so I suggest everyone get ready for a fight." Jun said to everyone silently. But right after she spoke the Invalids rushed them, and like Jun thought they were coming from all sides, Lady Jun kicked the guy to the ground and sliced an Invalid in half with her blade.

As Mao trapped himself in a dead in several invalids were sniffing him out, they were knocking over trash cans and rummaging around and near a dumpster nearby, when they began turning down into the dead end in that Mao stupidly trapped himself in, Ash appeared at the other end seeing the Invalids, she rushed into the dead end, and took on the Invalids in the alley, she slammed them into the walls with easy and knocked each one of them down and stomped on their heads, the last one tried to swipe at Ash with their claws, but she leaped back the charged forwards and grabbed it in a bear hug, she began falling backwards and suplexed the invalid, she quickly got up and dropped her elbow on it's head killing it.

When Ash turned to see the bald guy she just looked at him while covered in Invalid blood and just casually said." Sup, you running away like bitch bald guy ?" She asked before running a black bloodied hand through her blonde hair like she just swept some hair gel into her hair." Or are you one of those new guys trying to kill everything that moves ? Or still just a bald bitch ? Or do you want to fight ?" Ash asked the guy so nonchalantly.

Mao slowly stood up with a tight lipped expression as he eyed the woman whom had taken out the invalids in his path. His jaw muscles bulged a bit as he grit his teeth together to avoid telling the newcomer to fuck off for continually pointing out his lack of hair. Insulting a person that just murdered a group of invalids with their bare hands was a stupid move, and Mao hadn't gotten this far by making stupid moves. He kept his weapon clenched in his hand, but lowered it slightly to give the impression that he wasn't looking to fight. "The answer to all your questions is no." He said warily before casting a quick glance at the butchered remains of the invalids that littered the ground. Mao instinctively pressed himself against one of the alley walls in an attempt to get a bit more distance between himself and the woman.

Regular human beings didn't move like she just did, which left Mao with the belief that she had more in common with the creatures she'd just killed than with the average human, in other words, she was more than likely an onyxian. Mao didn't particularly like onyxians. It was not so much that he disliked them per se, rather he didn't know a damned thing about them. He'd heard all sorts of rumors about their kind from the occasional trader or survivors group: Onyxians were experimental weapons, onyxians were a new viral strain, onyxians could control invalids, had to eat human flesh to keep from turning into invalids. It was pretty hard to figure out what was fact and what was fiction, which is why Mao chose to adhere to a strict policy of avoiding anyone that went sprouting tentacles or new appendages from their bodies.

Mao raised his sword briefly to gesture at the open street behind Ash, "Thanks for the assist...you mind letting me out of this alley way?".

Delilah

Delilah listened to the old man’s words, her expression not really revealing her thoughts. She continued to smile idly, glancing at their leader for any indication of an order. Honestly she really didn’t care all too much as long as the boss knew what she was doing. And if they had to eventually silence the old man for interfering with their mission, then that was fine too.

Her interests in that conversation was taken away when the one called Rina made her announcement. Delilah glanced at the abandoned building indicated before raising a thumbs up to the other girl. If they were to be hunting the beasts and monsters in the open field, it was best to set up a temporary base of operations for the mean time.

But alas, there would be little time to even consider a break as a near-horde of Invalids suddenly popped up. Sighing, Delilah admitted to herself that she was really looking forward to that rest…but duty called and these thins regrettably wouldn’t slaughter themselves.

With the rest of the hunters leaping for action, Delilah revealed her large knife and began slicing away at the creatures. Unlike Lady Jun’s approach, she waited for the Invalids to leap at her first before disabling them by going for the limbs or the eyes. Then she would finish them off with expert strikes, grin ever present on her face.

Neme smiled at the question of the leader of the squad, he'd have to explain that a bit later, because now she saw some of the invalids from the area coming towards them. She seemed a good tactician, able to make a tactic even in the thick of things, he would need to watch her in case she wished to assault any person who might know who he was, in their last breath they might tell some valuable information, for him or for her, and that could be disastrous.

He was thrown on the ground and he groaned, and looked up to see the woman kick an invalid. Alright, be careful, don’t get attacked by any invalids, at least not visibly, and don’t fight them off to hard, that all could lead to him being discovered. He scrambled away from the fight, and when it was done, he sat up, breathing heavily. “Thanks. I think this also answers your question, commander, I follow you because it will grant me safety and most likely some food that I can scavenge from somewhere.”

He looked away from the group and smiled, this was going according to plan, maybe he could even find something decent to eat. He’d have to watch it though, people didn’t like it when it was revealed that the frail old man had been taking advantage from them. He wiped the smile of his face, and in a relieved tone he said. “My name is Jorian, nice to meet you.”

Smiley sighed as the Invalids started to attack the group. He pulled his rifle from his back and started to pick any he could off one by one at range. Despite using a bolt action rifle he was rather quick to reload. In order to not attract any extra Invalid attention he used his knife to dispatch any stragglers that got too close to him.

He eventually had to reload. But as Smiley began to load his rifle with extra bullets from his pouch another Invalid started to come up to him from behind. However it wasn't that stealthy in it's approach. He turned and jammed his knife into it's neck, then twisting the blade and ripping it out to finish off his attacker. He finished reloading, closed the bolt, shouldered his weapon and continued firing.

As the invalids began to swarm the team Rina sighed at how her plan had gone to shambles, and began to grab for the 2nd best weapon on her. Unlucky for her she wouldn't be able to use her trusty sniper due to the fact that these monsters were too close for any type of long-ranged shot. Not only that, but wasting a Barret shot this early in the battle between hunter vs monster would be the dumbest decision even the least experienced soldier would know not to make. Even as she pulled out her Scar-H Rina was really looking forward to being able to scout out her camping spot since it'd take more than a few seconds to prepare for the usual shoot, and if needed, escape. Seconds were essential in any battle, and being able to set up a spot would mean less time to be able to increase her kill streak. In all honesty it wasn't the kill streak she was looking forward to as she wasn't one who cared for showing off, but it was the fact that the kills alone were what she was looking forward to.

As the invalids made their ugly asses closer The Machina set her finger on the trigger of the gun, and looked into the specialized scope she had gotten for it days before they were to depart on their mission. A clear shot to an artery was what she was looking for, and expected no less so as to not grant these murderers the death they don't deserve. As an invalid ran closer to the group, and Rina was able to predict its movement she pressed down on the trigger that would fire multiple shots in a second. As she let go she'd look for invalids that were farther away since her team was capable of handling the ones practically on them. One by one she would shoot at an invalid yet would shoot not to kill them, but to simply increase their misery until she was given the order to fully kill them. From time to time they'd continue to crawl, or drag their way towards the group, but Rina would shoot at them once again to prevent them from continuing on. At one point there were to many to be able to not kill them, so she'd just roll her eyes and begin head shots. They were faster of course, but that would mean that she would be simply granting them something they had no kind of luxury to.

"Done?" she asked aloud to the others who, in a way, had her back while keeping her eye on the scope in case she needed to shoot at any more of these ridiculous things.

Ash Murray

Ash could see that the guy was trying to get by her as she wiped some of the Invalid blood from face and chest flicking the goo off herself while looking at the guy." Oh really ?" She said to him." Well too bad, well for you. There's a toll in this alley, you want to get by, then you gotta hand over your food." Ash told him, she didn't take up too much of the alley way but she tried her best to be intimidating at the moment even though the black blood on her should do enough to aid her in doing so. To add to it she cracked her knuckles and gave Mao a tough girl look, if she needed to she'd use her powers but since this guy was a normal person or at least she thought was a normal person she wasn't gonna break her powers out, not yet.

Lady Jun

After killing a couple of the invalids that were trying to attack them, Jun watched as the squad began killing the others she trusted that Delilah, would be able to lead them if she wasn't leading, she watched as the last one was shot by Rina and taken down, Jun watched Delilah and the others before noticing the man from before scrambled away from the fight to return to them, Lady Jun stared at the man believing he was odd." Either you one of those monsters that attacked us in disguise, or your some survivor desperate to get to safety, I won't have my Hunters being killed by an infiltrator, I believe it would be better if we didn't just pick up some random stray from off the street."

Mao sighed quietly at the response he received for his request. Of course he was going to be badgered for his supplies. In this city good will was an alien concept to quite a few people, himself included. That being said, Mao had no intention of parting with all of his food, nor was he particularly interested in getting into a physical altercation over them, least of all with a monster. Mao hopped back ever so slightly to get a bit more room, his free hand slipped into the back of his pants and produced his gun, which he quickly leveled at the woman's head "Sorry lady, i'm real grateful that you kept me from being freak food and all, but i've barely got enough for myself as is. Kind of why i'm out here in the first place." he rasped, his fear partially ebbing away now that he had a weapon gripped firmly in each hand. Mao stood stone faced as he met Ash's gaze, though in the back of his mind cogs were hard at work spinning.

Although he wouldn't admit it Mao didn't actually want to shoot Ash. It wasn't that he took issue with killing to keep his stuff -he'd done that more than enough times to become troublingly numb to the action- it was more so due to the fact that shooting her meant that he could say goodbye to scavenging in the area for at least the next few hours, if not the entire night, not to mention the fact that ammunition wasn't exactly easy to come by. Whatever situation might occur after the fact, Mao not wanting to shoot Ash did not mean that he wasn't more than willing to actually do it if need be. He pulled back the hammer on the gun and gestured to the open street yet again, "I'm going to ask you one more time to let me out of this alley way. Grateful or not, interested in fighting or not, I will shoot you if you take another step forward.".

Neme smiled once more. "Well, miss commander, you do already have the attitude that is good for those who wish to survive this hell." He looked around and saw that none of the squad had died. Inside, his smile was gone, on the outside, nothing happened. "I do wish to give you some advice, but I hope that I can get something for it, maybe some food?"

Neme looked at what the squad had done to the Invalids that had followed them. "Damn shame, I had hoped I could survive with you all a bit longer. Anyways, about that advice, I would first like to know your name."
