Physical Description: Katie is rather small, standing about 4 foot 2, with blond hair and blue eyes. She wears silver flower earrings. Her usual outfit is a white top and blue jeans. She has a great tan from being outside a lot.

Personality: Don't be fooled by Katie's small size, she's tougher than iron. A tomboy through and through, she loves hiking, camping, and generally trying to be one of the boys. She gives compliments infrequently and can be a bit haughty at times, but she can reveal the somewhat sweet girl she tries to keep hidden.

Likes: Being outdoors, basketball, riding horses

Dislikes: Tight spaces, reading, being told what to do.

Bio: Katie grew up in rural Minnesota, in a place that could best be described as "the far side of nowhere." With few of the options for entertainment available to a city girl (there aren't many movie theaters in a town of 950), she spent much of her time outside, running through the open fields. Not too long ago, a man she didn't recognize knocked on the door. Visitors were few and far between, so she was surprised, then doubly so when he revealed himself to be an ancient god. He offered to take Katie to the Kingdom of Myth, and she couldn't pass up this offer.

God description: Finnish god of crops and weather

Relationship: Rather lukewarm. Ukko tries to be a good dad, but he hasn't had a mortal kid in nearly a millennium and he's still trying to get back in the swing of parenthood.

Mortal Parent: Meredith Ingeri, farmer.

Relationship: Quite good. Meredith was always there for Katie, a trusted friend and confidant. Katie stops by a couple of times of month, and Meredith has been invited to dine with the gods on occasion, so they still see each other frequently.

Powers:

Weather Girl: Katie's most significant power is the ability to control the weather. She's still learning to use this ability, and she couldn't take it from a summer day straight to a blizzard, but she can do quite a lot with it.

Gardener: Plants naturally grow faster around Katie, and if she concentrates, she can make them grow even more.

Sssnake Ssspeech: As Ukko is associated with serpents, Katie can talk to snakes. Needless to say, this has led to endless Harry Potter jokes, and Katie doesn't like them one bit.

Physical Description: The first thing anyone notices about Maddie is her height. She stands 5'7, towering over virtually every girl and many of the guys as well. She has black hair and brown eyes, and has varying outfits, all of which are black. She also wears waaay too much makeup.

Personality: Madison is a Goth to the core, and goes out of her way to make it obvious. She sees herself as a eerie modern witch, right down to a pet black cat named Lucky. Despite this, she has a reputation for being helpful; if someone needs a magical solution to their problems, they go see her... and usually leave as soon as they've been assisted.

Likes: Magic, reading, cooking

Dislikes: Large crowds, the mortal world, anything too lighthearted

Bio: Madison is a born and bred Bostonian. She fell in with the Goth crowd her freshman year of high school, and started reading a bunch of occult books. She managed to get a few of the simpler rituals to work, though it was hit or miss, and more the latter than the former. Hecate soon came calling, and told Madison that she was her mother.

Godly parent: Hecate

God Description: Greek goddess of magic and witchcraft

Relationship: Quite good. Hecate has taken it upon herself to teach Madison more magic, and the two often bond over their lessons- but Hecate still gives her a cluck of disapproval about her looks every now and then.

Mortal parent: Jason Jones, historian

Relationship: Absolutely dead. Jason never had much time for Madison, and often ignored her presence. That as much as anything was the reason that she fell in with the crowd she did. The fact that Jason knew who Hecate was and didn't tell Madison was merely the killing blow.

Powers

Crystal Ball: Madison can see the future. It's got quite a few limitations: She has to be looking for a person, place, or object, she can't see more than three days in advance, and she may get certain details wrong, but she will get the general gist of what's coming right.

In tune with magic: Even when compared with other demigods, Madison knows a lot about magic. She can cast spells, mix potions, and make charms, though they aren't exactly strong yet. For instance, a "Love Charm" will usually end up being a "Like Charm", despite her best efforts.

Name: Arthur Orolos

Nicknames: Hawk, Judge

Age: 17

Description: Arthur is of average height standing at around 6ft, relatively well built but overall quite thin. He wears his black hair long about his head reaching to just short of shoulder height, but trimmed away in a fringe at the front in order that he might see clearly. He always had a fascination with the classical world even before learning of his mother and thus he wears a silver signet ring on his right index finger. Most of the time he can be found wearing black jeans, a grey t-shirt and a long flowing double breasted trench coat as well as black and grey scarf.

Personality: Arthur seems a bit stern at first, a young man dedicated to his calling. When he's not reading, teaching or practising with various weapons he can be found participating in fierce debates. If you can earn his trust and his respect you will find few friends as dedicated as Arthur, he's willing to put his life on the line in instant for those he cares about.

Likes: History (especially the classical world: Greece, Rome, Egypt, Macedon), debates, loyalty.

Dislikes: Cowardice, traitors, not understanding things.

Bio: Arthur grew up in modern day Greece, his father was an archaeologist by trade and conducted a great many studies often taking his son along. As his son grew older he taught him all the things a classical gentlemen ought to know: how to fight, the art of rhetoric, philosophy, languages and of course history. Arthur was very close to his father, he had few friends and ended spending most of his time either in quiet study or with his father.

One day however his father didn't come home, Arthur spent days searching the local area for his father. He tried talking to the police but they found nothing. Eventually he gave up and withdrew into his studies, he started tutoring local kids to earn enough to get by.

It was after a few weeks spent like that, that he awoke one morning to find a woman standing over him. She placed a hand on his shoulder whilst wiping away a tear, she offered him sanctuary and he felt compelled to accept.

Godly Parent: Nemesis

God description: The Hellenic and Roman goddess of vengeance and righteous retribution.

Relationship with godly parent: After spending some time with Nemesis Arthur has begun to warm to her. She told him what happened to his father, how he was killed in a mugging incident, how she'd subsequently dealt with the men in question. At first Arthur thought of protesting, but he came to understand why his mother had done what she did.

Mortal Parent: Simon Orolos, half Greek half British, archaeologist, deceased.

Relationship: Arthur was very close to his father before he died, Arthur still hasn't gotten to used to life without him really. Simon taught Arthur almost everything he knows and Arthur feels that he has to live up to his fathers expectations and ideals.

Powers:

Always armed: As a descendant of Nemesis Arthur is able to manifest almost any weapon he may require. The weapons are limited to man usable weapons however, he won't be able to manifest a tank, but a spear or sword is easily within his capabilities. These weapons are utterly devastating, lethal to mortals and divine beings alike, but can only be used by Arthur himself.

Confession: Combining the powers of his mother with the rhetoric learnt from his father Arthur is a master speaker. It is almost impossible to withhold information from him and he is a master manipulator.

Son of Hawks: Some Hellenic myths suggest that Nemesis took the form of a hawk on occasion. Whether this is true she hasn't deigned to comment on, however Arthur seems to have a certain affinity with the birds. He can call a trusted Hawk, that he has named Cleon to his side when he needs him. He can also see through Cleon's eyes allowing him to never lose his target. This is a new ability for Arthur however, and it is rather taxing for him.

Appearance
Vanessa has straight, layered faded orange hair reaches only a small length past her shoulders, some locks starting to grow back into it's natural dark brown which she will dye over eventually. Her round-almond shaped eyes are a ligh hazel. She is quite short for a girl of her age standing at 156cm (about 5'1") and doesn't have any chance of growing taller. Over time she has come to accept her short height but that doesn't mean she always embraces it with open arms. She is also quite lean weighing at 48kg (about 105lbs) and has a small amount of muscle on her. She is not one to smile widely therefore hiding her crooked white front teeth.

Clothing Style:
Her clothing style is quite simple. She's not a fan of anything flashy or eye-popping nor does she like dresses or skirts. Darker colours (particularly blacks) are ever-present in her clothing choices but all the same she generally doesn't wear all black, commonly pairing her leather jacket or another dark item of clothing with more neutral or toned down colours

Likes:

• Music, particularly the more edger and hardcore styles such as hard rock, punk/pop-punk, Alternative etc.
• The stories of the dead recounting their lives
• History, although she doesn't overly enjoy being involved in wars she loves the retelling of them

• Horror movies, they don't seem as bad after you listen to some of the stories of certain dead people

• She often finds herself chewing on her lip when she's nervous. Very rarely she has drawn blood from chewing so hard into it but it has happened a couple of times

Vanessa isn't one to smile often deceivingly making her seem gloomy and downright pessimistic. She considers herself a level-head realist and isn't actually as gloomy as many perceive her to be before they get to know her. She is very caring toward most people but she attempts to push others away at her darkest of moments. As helpful and kind as she is she strongly believes that one should take consequences for their own actions and can take her time in forgiving those who harm her or someone she's close to either physically or mentally. She's the kind of person who is silently listening to the whole conversation and mentally criticising it yet she would be quick to stand up for herself or those she cares for. She's the kind of person how will rebel within the rules, pushing the boundaries but not crossing the line enough to be labelled a troublemaker. She doesn't make friends easily, she has her father's reputation to thank for it, she finds herself alone often, sometimes she enjoys the lack of company, sometimes not.

Background:
Vanessa was born the 3rd child in a family of 4 children in Illinois, America with no knowledge of the Godly realm. Not long before Vanessa's mother fell pregnant with her she was widowed with the father of Vanessa's older siblings, her two brothers. A couple of years after her birth her mother remarried and had yet another child, a girl. Vanessa's brothers were very protective of their sisters, particularly Vanessa herself as she didn't know who her father was, but they also taught her that not everything will always go her way. Vanessa was that girl in school people would actively avoid for no good reason so she often spent her lunch breaks on her own. At 13 her mother died from cancer after a 3 year battle. Her step-father only wanted to keep his daughter, sending his step-children to an orphanage as their mother dropped all contact with family years before her first child. When she was 15 she first summoned a spirit from the underworld. It was an accident, obviously, but of course, how are you meant to explain that to the other teenage girls who you shared a room with? So entitling her a freak they avoided any contact with her if possible but Vanessa didn't care, this opened a new possibility for her, the possibility to see her mother. As much as she tried, however, it never worked but she met her father not long after the first incident, it was a very awkward experience in the middle of a cemetery but from then on he checked up on her on the odd occasion until now. Only weeks earlier her father invited her to live with him in the godly realm.

Her relationship with her father is very much a love/hate one. On one meeting they would get along well for a father and daughter that barely see each other and be happy in each other's company, or as much as you could belonging to the underworld, though quite often on the next meeting they can lost get in bickering and fighting. As much as Vanessa admires her father she fears him slightly.

Godly Abilities:
Summoning the dead: Particularly near the place of the death or where they are buried she is able to summon the spirit of a single dead soul at a time, however, sometimes this doesn't work out for her. She is not able to control their actions, obviously, nor is it too long before they are dragged back into the underworld but she enjoys the company and the stories of the dead.

Physical description: With the skin of a Egyptian and the red hair of her Irish mother. Alysse has a heart shaped face, showing off soft features. Her stubbornness found in the green-grey eyes. Standing at five foot three inches, she's noticeably lean. Sturdy sandals, black jeans and a loose green t-shirt with sewn in lacey black sleeves falls off one shoulder. She wears her mother's family's two wedding bands on her left hand, and several talismans as necklaces. The talismans are written with runes for protection, safety, and good luck, and bout with black cords. With fingerless gloves, her nails bitten to the quick.

Personality: For all her quiet ways Alysse is quite bubbly and cheerful. But her loyalty to select few she will call 'close' is not something to question. Quick to jump to the defense or attack on that behalf, she becomes a storm of raging anger. This sudden change can be contributed to her father's own violent tendencies. If she can't be found learning some new craft the next best bet is some secluded spot practicing her weaponry and powers. She's very shy about being watched while she practices and finds comfort in doing it alone in her father's desert.

Likes: Learning different languages, listening to music, cats, reading, and dancing.

Dislikes: The sea, those who attack the weak and helpless, and traitors.

Bio: Her mother never told her about her father, but never looked at another man after Alysse was born. They lived a happy, if mediocre, life in the small Irish fishing village by the sea. Her mother was as cheerful as Alysse. But when Moira went out onto the ocean to help the fishers that one fateful time. The ship sank in a storm leaving Alysse alone in the world at ten. Her mother's close friend took her in for time, the school and community keeping a 'don't ask, don't tell' on the whole arrangement. When Child Services did come to collect Alysse she was twelve and unwilling to leave. Running off she evaded the coppers thanks to storm. It was then Set interfered, albeit giving the poor child a fright.

God description: Egyptian god of storms, desert, violence, and foreigners.

Opinion of godly parent: Alysse is close to the Egyptain god, and the feeling is returned. She is closely protected by the god. Fearing her father's powers, she over came it with time. Though she still is wary of his wrathful ways towards others. He taught her weaponry and fighting, and how to use her powers.

Mortal parent name: Moira O'Neil

Opinion of mortal parent: Her mother was the goodness in Alysse life before she died. Still Alysse adores her and misses her terribly. Moira was a Wiccan, teaching her daughter the ways of her craft. Before she died, she sold herbal medicines and teas to their neighbors.

Powers: She is a fierce fighter. Learning the Khopesh, spear and bow. She can control the sand of the desert, and storms, to a degree. However it takes a lot out of her to control the storms. She can pick up languages quickly.
