@Shikaru Oh! I tagged you in the OP, I'm surprised it didn't notify you. I think human only might be best, I'm shooting for a low-magic/low-fantasy setting.
I'm sorry I've been MIA for a few days! Holidays and whatnot. I'd love it if my character ran the general store. (To buy seeds, groceries, typically the place where people go to get things shipped to the town) I'd also be fine with maybe opening a restaurant.
Freya is a short, lean girl, standing at about 5'4 and 120 pounds. She usually dresses in very flowy, floral clothing. Her mother was somewhat of a hippie, and Freya took after her in that way. She usually has flowers in her hair, unless it's Winter. When she isn't feeling well, she braids her hair to keep it out of her face. She loves to dress up and always has makeup on her face. She has deep blue pools for eyes, with red hair that looks nothing like the rest of her family's.
Personality: Freya has always been too much of a sweet person for her own good. She deeply cares about the emotions of those around her, and she'll do just about anything to keep the people around her happy. She spends too much of her own money on gifts for people; it doesn't have to be a special occasion. She goes out of her way to help those in need, even if it means inconveniencing herself greatly. Too many people have taken advantage of her kindness, though, which has caused her to be wary when it comes to getting close to people. She loves to work in a customer service setting, because she feels that helping people, even if it is in the most miniscule of ways, is her calling. She also absolutely loves playing music. She plays her heart out on the guitar, beautifully so. She has had her beaten up acoustic guitar for as long as she can remember, and can barely remember a time when she didn't practice during her free time. Like every other person on the planet, no matter how sweet of a person she may be, she does has her demons. She drowns them with the wine that she gets shipped to her store with her own money; but only after store hours. Work is too important to her to drink on the job.
Bio (one paragraph, at least): Freya grew up in a nice, almost suburban town. She lived with her mother, father, brother, and sister. She was the black sheep of the family. Her mother, Aada, grew ill when she was a young girl, around age 10. Aada was unable to do her usual housework as a stay-at-home mom after this, so Freya, being the eldest, inherited all the responsibilities that her mother had. Clean the kitchen, do all the laundry, cook dinner, get her younger siblings ready for school... She was forced to grow up very quickly at a very young age. Over the years, even has her younger siblings grew old enough to be able to help with the housework, her father, Arturo, continued to force her to do the work while her siblings did what they pleased. He never showed any love for her. She doesn't talk much about her family life beyond that; She only describes her childhood to people she is close to. When Freya turned 18, her mother passed away. Her father, instead of helping Freya through the situation, kicked her out of their home, not caring what would happen to her. Freya had little money saved aside, and was forced to live in a low quality hotel in the city. She got a job at a general store nearby, and excelled at her job because of her thoughtfulness. Sometimes she would sit on the street outside of her hotel and play her guitar while singing for tips. She eventually saved a decent amount of money, and decided that she hated living in the city, so she bought a small building in a place called Sugar Pine Village, along with a small inventory to open a general store with.
Profession: General Store Owner Inventory: Old Acoustic Guitar, Various General Store Goods, Mother's Necklace Other: Pansexual, loves nature
Please excuse any mistakes or faults in my writing, as I am a bit rusty with Roleplay and fairly new to the website. :)
Haha, I'm sure Freya would happily help, despite possible consequences. And I know! I didn't even notice that until after I made my CS. We could possibly play at festivals and whatnot. I am excited. I remember a lot of really sweet characters in Harvest Moon having insane backstories, so I kind of wanted a character like that.
Hey guys, are we still open? I think a Harvest Moon rp would be very fun to participate in :3 Also, if the woodcutter position is open, I would like to request a hold whole I make a cs~.

Arianna stands at a sturdy 5'9", her long dark chocolate hair either pushed back by a headband or tied up in a messy bun. She needs glasses to read, and she often has them on when she visits the local tavern, reading a newspaper or otherwise. She has a stocky build which she inherited from her father, and is well built from years and years of practicing her trade. She possesses a couple small scars on her body from a couple of run-ins with axe bits and misplaced saw blades.
Personality: Arianna could be described as the complete opposite of girly. She loves to get her hands dirty and handle heavy objects, making herself out to be as powerful as possible. She can be rather reckless, leading with her head when she is introduced in new situations. Of course, when it comes to her passion of the forest, she exhibits an air of peaceful focus as she chops and cuts, treating each and every tree like a gift from the Harvest Goddess herself. In fact, she will often confront anyone who would disrespect the forest. Around strangers, she enjoys to put on shows of her strength whenever she can. She also enjoys keeping up with local affairs. She loves food and alcohol, but hates cooking, as she doesn't have the gentle hand to mix ingredientts together in the right way.
Bio (one paragraph, at least): Arianna has worked under her father, a once legendary woodcutter, since her arms had developed enough to swing an axe. She idolized her father, taking any chance to work with him, from chopping simple wood rounds, to building huge sheds for clients. Everything Arianna knows and puts in to practiced every day she first picked up from her father. He was especially stern about keeping the condition of the forest pure, frequently reciting quotes from famous poets about the clarity of the woods. Arianna herself was always interested in trees. They to her were true mythical giants, breathing life in to the world that so graciously kept them rooted in the ground, feeding them with water and minerals. They were to be respected as a precious resource. Eventually, as she got older, she was greatly saddened by logging businesses that went rampant in clear cutting forests for a profit. This hatred coupled with sexism throughout the woodcutting business would often steer her away from jobs of her own, and after learning all she could from her father, she packed her bags, her father giving her some of his prized equipment as going away presents, and catched the first bus for a certain Sugar Pine Village to start a woodcutting business of her own, which promoted minimalistic products and services without sacrificing quality. Currently, Wiggins Woodcutting is still a very small business that is soley run by Arianna, and will need a lot more advertisement to really start picking off.
Profession: Woodcutter, business owner of Wiggins Woodcutting, situated a fair ways in to Gnarlwood Forest.
For future reference (and perhaps I should put this in the thread title), I'll continue accepting applications until the game feels too cluttered, as of now there is no set limit.
I'll be starting up the IC shortly! Feel free to continue posting in the OOC, getting to know other players and offering me feedback as a GM as we go on!
Edit: StarInaBox, could we start you off with a regular axe and maul? Gold might be a good rp goal to work toward from a relationship with the Harvest Goddess or from the hardware store as the town becomes more prosperous.

OOh, I am both excited, and somewhat disappointed. I was about to go to bed xP
