[IC] Pokémon Hoenn: α and Ω

"Well, I am going to go do a bit more training before the gym.' Liam stated.

"Good idea," Shiranui commented.

Liam went off and did some training

With an ace in the hole, Shiranui left the cave and headed back to the Pokémon Centre to heal his party and get ready for the gym.

Once Liam felt he was ready, he returned to the Pokémon Center as well. He saw Shiranui there. "Ready to earn a new badge?" he inquired.

"Ready and raring," Shiranui answered.

"Well, should we wait on the others before go to face the gym?"

[James Davy]

"I say we should," answered Shiranui. He hoped Khuda's Ralts was alright.

Lance left the cave and soon arrived at the pokemon center, He healed his pokemon and regrouped with Liam and Shiranui. "Alright im ready to get this badge" Lance said.

"We just have to wait for Khuda to get here," stated Shiranui.

Opening the double doors slowly, a cloth wavering behind her dramatically in the slight breeze, behind her three shadowy enigmas merged into a single shadow. Her face seemed very bored and hostile, a piece of straw coming out of her mouth. With simple, yet loud steps she walked towards the desk and silently placed two pokeballs on the desk. A geodude and ralts returning to their small containers. Suddenly she turned, the cloth falling to the ground and her cowboy act being replaced with her eccentric eagerness. She smiled wide and made an over dramatic pose towards them.
"I have captured the geodude!"

"Great work, Khuda," praised Shiranui, "Geodude would help for when you face the third gym."

'This things getting me all the way to the top! I'm taking him to the gym to fight with me. Ralts is gonna show you just how strong she is too, just wait and see"

All of the Pokémon were healed and returned to their trainers. The group went to the gym. There was a note on the door reading "Gone Surfing". As Liam approached and read the sign, a man with teal hair and accompanied by a Hariyama approached. "Ah, challengers. I guess we came back just on time. I'm Brawly, Dewford's gym leader. He led the group inside. and asked who would go first. Liam stepped forward. The official gave the usual jargon about how only the challenger can substitute pokémon, and that in this instance each trainer is only permitted two Pokémon. Brawl sent out Machop. Liam called on Pidgey.
"Focus Energy!" Brawly called.
"Gust!" Liam called. The burst of wind pushed the Superpower Pokémon back.
"Smack Down!" Brawly called. The attack hit Pidgey hard. Pidgey hit the ground.
Pidgey got back up and showed off a move that it must have inherited, Brave Bird. This surprised the Machop, and allowed Pidgey the needed chance to get back up.
"Ice Punch!" Brawly called.
Pidgey was hit. Pidgey stood back up and gave one final gust, defeating Machop. Pidgey became cloaked in white light and evolved into Pidgeotto. Liam recalled the bird to rest after Hariyama was called out by the leader, Gallade came out.
"Psycho Cut!" Liam called. The attack was a critical and KO'd Hairyama. Brawly commented that no one had ever taken Hairyama out that fast before and awarded Liam the Knuckle Badge. Liam thanked Brawly and took a seat on the stands so that the next one could face the leader. Meanwhile, he was trying to decide on future contest routines.

Khuda was rather disappointing that the Liam got to go first, show just how sour about it she was as she watched him at first. The fight was bland but Liam's power was rather impressive. She clapped in surprise for just how great he was at fight.

Liam thanked Khuda for the applause, but was also a little surprised as he wasn't expecting it. Gallade wanted to remind her that Liam had at this point a total of twenty-eight badges across all four regions he had visited. Not to mention that every region tournament he had fought in he made first or second place. But another thought had gone through Gallade's mind. He wondered how long Liam would wait to use Mega Evolution on a contest appeal. It could lend itself very well to the appeal if done correctly. In the end, Gallade kept both thoughts to himself.

Shiranui was next to challenge Brawly. After hearing the recital familiar to every gym, Brawly sent Machop out. "Kinoko, I choose you!" Shiranui sent his Shroomish out.
"Begin!" called the official.
"Machop, Bulk Up!"
"Kinoko, Leech Seed!" Machop's muscular body piled on more muscle, boosting its physical stats before Kinoko fired a seed. The seed struck home and Machop was ensnared by vines that started sapping its energy away. Kinoko's Toxic Orb activated, leaving the Shroomish badly poisoned, but thanks to her Poison Heal ability, was not fazed by the poison.
"Machop, Karate Chop!"
"Kinoko, Mega Drain!" Machop demonstrated some martial arts movements before delivering a swift karate chop to Kinoko. Kinoko drained more energy away from Machop and healed back half the energy drained away plus more from the poison and the Leech Seed.
"Impressive combination you have there, Shiranui," commented Brawly, "Machop, Seismic Toss!"
"Kinoko, finish it off with Mega Drain!" This time, Kinoko was first to act as she drained more energy away. Machop barely survived the attack, but Shiranui knew it would not take long for Machop to fall. Machop grabbed Kinoko, jumped high into the air and body slammed her to the ground. The Leech Seed drained away the last of Machop's energy and the martial artist was down for the count.

"Machop, return; go Hariyama!"
"Kinoko, return; Gimansha I choose you!" Both battlers switched their Pokémon. In Shiranui's case he sent his Mawile out.
"Hariyama, Sand Attack!"
"Gimansha, Taunt! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated the keystone on his Mega Ring and an orb of energy surrounded Gimansha. The orb shattered to reveal a Mega Mawile that made a come-hither motion, causing Hariyama's attack to fail.
"Hariyama, Arm Thrust!"
"Gimansha, Play Rough!" The Mega Mawile started pouncing about and playing roughly with Hariyama. Hariyama barely survived the experience and managed to deliver a salvo of arm thrusts that were little more than glancing blows.
"Hariyama, Vital Throw!"
"Gimansha, Bite!" Gimansha looked cutely at Hariyama and at the right time, bit down with both her steel jaws, knocking Hariyama out.

"So that was the awesome power of Mega Evolution," stated Brawly, "For your prowess in battle I award you the Knuckle Badge."

Khuda jumped up as soon as the battle was over. After his freind was awarded the badge, she almost pushed him out of the way to get to the battle. Brawly was almost taken back by her bravado, but smiled. He liked her moxy, though he wasn't sure how far it would her. She had already heard the rules she stopped him before her could finish explaining them. Haphazardly, she snatched two balls from her bag and eagerly threw out the first one. It was Ralts, and she was actually awake from once, not only that but energized and ready for battle.
"I guess you weren't as naive as you seemed, I'll hold off on toying with this human as much...for now" She telepathically spoke to the gardevoir she had a previous encounter with in her mind. Her stance was stronger, more prepared for battle, and the shrub-like green part of her head was worn like a rice farmer hat in a samurai movie.
The machop that was already out was almost instantly shocked by her appearance, as her eye flashed and she gave a malicious look to him, giggling as her sharp teeth bared. It was stopped in it's trackes, too afraid to move. This only deepened the ralt's glee. Khuda pointed dramatically.
"You know what to do!" She spouted, and the ralts took a graceful leap at the machop, her arms bared. She moved in and tried to scratch the machop, as she had been taught, but it didn't do much to it. This reassured the pokemon, and he smacked ralts hard with a karate chop, sending her spinning away, only for it to grab her and suplex her hard. Khuda looked worried, but her facial expressions where constantly changing, while ralts had hers stay very unfazed. Her eyes glowed again, and a few rocks from the ground started to float around them, going faster and faster each time, only to hit the machop. She teleported and hit him with it again. The machop, in it's confusion spun around, throwing a karate chop right into it's own face and falling over, dazed and confused. The gym leader sighed, returning the pokemon.
"Well...that was unconventional, but I suppose a win is a win...if, you can beat my second pokemon!" He spoke in his spry tone.
Khuda snicker, rubbing her nose as she gave the ralts a berry, and it gulped it down whole.
"Yeah, don't worry, my pokemon can handle anything!" She almost shouted, only to see Hariyama before her.

The pokemon was hit with a glare, but, unfazed, only responded by pounding it's stomach rhythmically. Ralts took that as it wanting to eat her and fearfully looked to khuda who seemed to have become a stern stone statue. The Ralts nodded, feeling her energy and knowing just what to do. The other pokemon finished it's music and charged at her with a wond up punch, ready to be unleashed, but snagged it's foot on something and fell straight on it's face. The punch hit the ground and made a crater, causing ralts and Khuda to shiver in fear. It was so strong. looking to one another, they didn't take long to start trying to use confusion, but the Hariyama did not seem to be fazed at all. The rocks hit him and bounced off and he disregarded them floating around him. Instead he wound up his fist and threw a punch, which ralts teleported to the side of, only to be struck by a fake out. She was on her knees, trying to use psychic as much as she could, but it still didn't do too much. Finally, the Hariyama neared her and kicked her to her trainer's hands, thus knocking her out. The nexy up that she chose was her Mankey, who was already out. Having watched the fight, he knew just how this pokemon fought. It'd be tough, but he'd get the hariyama, he just knew it. The two pokemon glared at each other and when the match started, instantly locked arms in a wrestling match. Mankey was being pushed back with ease, but right as the hariyama was about to strike his with a focus punch, mankey used counter, sending the attack right back at the Hariyama. he didn't stop there, rushing in with a bullet punch to the sumo's stomach, creating ripples, and even sweeping it. It layed there for a while, but slowly got up and seemed unscathed by the attack for the most part. Mankey growled, but didn't have time to react as the earth beneath them started to shake. The Hariyama was stomping the ground and using earthquake on him! Mankey was hurt at first, but khuda snapped him out of it by yelling "do it!" and watching the mankey jump into the air and on top of the bigger pokemon. On it's back, it scratched and clawed at his face and neck while the big pokemon struggled to get it off. Once he was grabbed, the bigger pokemon threw him to the ground and stomped the mankey, which caused it to puff up and hold it's stomach. The pigmonkey glared once more and charged at the rival only to tackle it, countering again with a series of bulelt punches from each hand, growing faster and faster, until he slowly started to run out of energy and eventually stopped and fell to the ground, heaving. Brawly laughed impenitently.
"Well, those pokemon sure had your moxy, but it looks like big ol'-" He began, but stopped to watch his pokemon fall over, completely unconscious. Mankey was standing, barely, but let out a mighty roar to invigorate himself as Khuda rushed in to hug him.
"We did it! Yes, I couldn't have done it without you two!" She shouted, feeling the badge on her shirt from where brawly layed it.
"you three trainers and a special bunch, I hope I see you guys some day soon!"
"You two mister brawly, I know you where holding back on me!'
And with that, she left to find the others.

Liam was impressed. He thought to himself that Mankey would be a dangerous opponent that he may have to face at some point. That being said, he thought that maybe Mankey would benefit from meeting some of Liam's fighting types.

"Guess its my turn" Lance said walking out on the field, as brawly went over the rules Lance was thinking about what he should do and who to start out with. As he finished the official starting the match.

"Begin!"
Lance started out with taillow, "Go taillow" lance said as the bird pokemon came out of its pokeball.
"Machop Lets go" Brawly said, Machop emerged.
"Taillow use double team" Lance ordered and taillow began multiplying, "Then use peck" Lance said. The taillow's beak glowed white and they all speed towards machop
"Dont get confused machop" Brawly said
Taillow hit Machop sending him flying back. "Nice job taillow, follow up with quick attack". Taillow in the blink of the eye was in front of machop.
"Machop Karate chop." Machop hit Taillow with a karate chop making a big crater in the ground. Taillow struggled to get up. "Taillow get back into the air then use peck." Taillow flew back then came at Machop again going for his stomach and knocking him out.
