Liam had Sherlock teleport the heroes to Mauvile. "Alright, now we have to go east."

"We should stock up on supplies first as we have another long trek ahead," replied Shiranui.

"Sounds like a good idea." Liam stated.

[James Davy]

Shiranui stocked up on supplies for the trek to Fortree City.

Liam acquired the supplies that he would need.

"Next stop: Fortree City," said Shiranui, heading east.

Liam called out Lapras to carry the heroes across the water.

Shiranui got on Lapras' back.

Lance boarded Lapras.

The Transport Pokémon made the trip across the water. Once the heroes were on the other side and all off of Lapras, Liam recalled it. Liam saw Gabby and Ty up ahead. They waved to the heroes and walked up. They said that the battle/interview with Liam got very high ratings, and this time they wanted to challenge Champion Tsukiko.

"I will not disappoint our adoring fans!" Shiranui accepted.

Once the cameras were rolling, the duo sent out a Loudred and a Magneton. "Magneton, the Magnet Pokémon and the evolved form of Magnemite. Magneton emits a powerful magnetic force that is fatal to electronics and precision instruments. Because of this, it is said that some towns warn people to keep this Pokémon inside a Poké Ball."
"Loudred, the Big Voice Pokémon and the evolved form of Whismur. Loudred's bellowing can completely decimate a wood-frame house. It uses its voice to punish its foes. This Pokémon's round ears serve as loudspeakers." Shiranui sent Kinoko and Niwatori out and the battle was on. Magneton tried to protect Loudred from Kinoko's attacks, but one Flamethrower from Niwatori soon took it out. Kinoko had badly poisoned Loudred and Loudred was stamping the ground in preparation for an attack. Loudred let out a Roar at Niwatori and the Combusken could not have gone back into his ball fast enough. Both Shiranui and a badly poisoned Kinoko were reeling from Loudred's vocal onslaught as Gimansha was dragged out. Kinoko started glowing and after a while, the glow subsided to reveal a Breloom. "Breloom, the Mushroom Pokémon and the evolved form of Shroomish. Breloom closes in on its foe with light and sprightly footwork, then throws punches with its stretchy arms. This Pokémon's fighting technique puts boxers to shame." Gimansha charged in with a Play Rough attack at the ready and Kinoko charged in with a Superpower at the ready and Loudred was soon getting pummelled by a two-pronged attack. After Kinoko and Gimansha let up on their assault, Loudred was knocked out.

"That was a battle befitting of the newest inductee of Kalos' Hall of Fame," said Gabby.
"Thank you very much," replied Shiranui, agreeing to be interviewed.
"In one or two words, how would you describe your feelings about our battle?" asked Gabby.
"Deafening," answered Shiranui.
"Thank you for your time, Mr. Tsukiko," said Gabby before calling a wrap.

A little further down the route, the heroes encountered a man with hair that was a light steel color, and eyes to match. He recognized Shiranui and Liam from their league matches. Liam recognized the man as Hoenn's champion, Steven Stone. "Greetings Champion Tsukiko, 'Dragon Master' Coleman." Steven greeted. He than asked the heroes if they would accompany him on an errand.

"Sure, we'd love to," answered Shiranui.

Setven tossed a Pokéball into the air and a discolored Metagross emerged. He commanded it to pick the heroes up with psychic and go "there" Metagross did as instructed and carried the heroes to a far off island. When they arrived, Steven said that he wanted some extra eyes while he looked for something on the island. Liam heard footsteps and turned around to see three members of Team Aqua, one of which was Admin Matt. Matt didn't bat an eye at seeing three reputable trainers on the island, while his grunts were unnerved. Matt ordered them to get out of the way, and that they needed what the island held to further their plan.

"I don't think so, beefcake!" Shiranui rebutted, not intimidated by Matt's physique.
"I'll just have to force my way past!" replied Matt, "Sharpedo, you're up!"
Shiranui scanned Sharpedo with his Pokédex. "Sharpedo, the Brutal Pokémon. Nicknamed 'the bully of the sea', Sharpedo is widely feared. Its cruel fangs grow back immediately if they snap off. Just one of these Pokémon can thoroughly tear apart a supertanker."
"Gimansha, I choose you!" Shiranui sent his Mawile out and the battle was on.
"Sharpedo, Swagger!"
"Gimansha, Play Rough! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated the keystone on his Mega Ring and Gimansha was enveloped in an orb of energy. The orb shattered to reveal a Mega Mawile. Sharpedo swaggered about and that caused Gimansha to be so angry, her Attack stat sharply increased. This of course rendered the Mega Mawile confused. Gimansha was able to have enough mental focus to charge at Sharpedo and deliver the roughest roughhousing anyone had ever seen thanks to her Huge Power ability. Not even Sharpedo's Rough Skin ability was enough to deter Gimansha as the Mega Mawile let up on her assault and left Sharpedo knocked out in one hit.

The Grunts sent out a Poochyena and a Grimer. Steven's Metagross used Psychic and slammed Grimer into Poochyena and followed it up with Hyper Beam. They were both KO'd. Matt began to reach for another Pokéball when a sound emanated from elsewhere on the island. Latios emerged. He lifted them with Telekinesis and than used Dragon Pulse and sent the Aqua members flying.
"Latios, the Eon Pokémon. Latios will only open its heart to a Trainer with a compassionate spirit. This Pokémon can fly faster than a jet plane by folding its forelegs to minimize air resistance. Latios has the ability to make others see an image of what it has seen or imagines in its head. This Pokémon is intelligent and understands human speech."

"Thank you so much, Latios," said Shiranui.

The Eon Pokémon nodded at Shiranui and turned to Liam. Latios telepathically talked to the heroes saying that it has heard about the good deeds that they have done, and wants to come along with them. Latios then used Psychic and open Liam's pack. A Luxury Ball floated out and came over to the Lati. Late voluntarily entered the ball and it immediately snapped shut as it dropped to the ground.

"I wonder where the other one is," pondered Shiranui out loud.
