STAR WARS
DARK SECRETS OF THE EMPIRE

It is a period of relative peace in the Galaxy. Fifteen years after the fall of the GALACTIC EMPIRE, the NEW REPUBLIC has fought to ensure freedom throughout the galaxy. Jedi Grandmaster LUKE SKYWALKER's New Jedi Order has flourished anew, granting the galaxy a new generation of defenders of peace.

And yet, not all is well. The IMPERIAL REMNANT still lurks in the dark corners of the galaxy, but after fifteen years of attempted coups, their willingness for war fades. However, a radical faction among the Remnant, the CHILDREN OF THE EMPEROR, has bolstered its power with a mysterious new leader. There are many concerns about how they may pose a true threat to galactic security.

Amidst these concerns, the New Republic Senate has learned of a large scale gathering of crime lords on NAR SHADDAA. Concerned about the implications, the New Republic has dispatched a small vessel and a scout squadron bolstered by contacts in the system. Luke Skywalker, sensing there may be something deeper, dispatched several Jedi to assist the New Republic in their cause...

So, Star Wars RP! This one's going to be taking place, as mentioned in the opening crawl, fifteen years after the Battle of Endor. This gathering of crime lords, of course, has also drawn the attention of various scoundrels all across the galaxy on top of the New Republic.

This is based on the EU, though there's some edits. There are currently three Jedi Temples, fairly small, in this continuity.

Jedi are playable, but I'll be limiting their numbers.

Antagonists, from criminals to agents of the Children of the Emperor, are also playable, as well as members of the less radical Imperial Remnant factions. This includes a small number of mysterious acolytes working with the Children's shadowy leader.

Speaking of the Children of the Empire, they're a heavily radicalized faction of the Imperial Remnant. To the point where even the other factions of the Remnant feel like they may be going too far.

Personality: Much towards himself, never knowing who he can trust. However, he has some kind of conscience, as he only takes on missions he considers good. He only does something really unethical if he finds the money worth it.

Profession: Bounty hunter.

Skills: Excellent pilot, efficient marksman.

Abilities: His PCD makes him able to become temporarily invissible for the naked eye, and his jetpack makes him able to fly short distances, although even if he used them at the same time, the jetpack's propulsion would give away his position, and not only visually.

Equipment: A PCD, a jetpack (black) and a E-17d sniper rifle, along with black Mandalorian armor, geared up with a whipcord launcher and a range finder on his helmet. He also owns a modified X-wing (except not being made of Lego xD) and a black and red R2 series astromech droid, called R2-D9, nicknamed 'Denying'.

Brief Backstory: Born in a Mandalorian family, he left his tribe when young because he didn't want to follow the Resol'nare completely, specificly the part about following his leader, the Mand'alor. By leaving, he not only became a dar'manda, but also stopped following another part of Resol'nare, the one about contributing to his clan's welfare. He had no family anymore by that time, so he didn't break that one. He became a bounty hunter, and seemed to survive this way. He kept telling himself that he was still a real Mandalorian as long as he kept following at least half of the tenets of the Resol'nare. However, with already two down, he knew he was nearing the edge.

Sweet :) hopefully I won't have to worry about spoilers after next week anyways.

I was thinking of making a villainous character, like a rogue/Sith, but decided to try it out with a Jedi. Let me know what you think or if you'd rather me go that route, to even the odds. I'm just craving lightsabers :D

Name: Elyka Fé

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Appearance: Elyka stands 5'9, with white hair and piercing blue eyes. Her build is slim and athletic, usually donning a traditional beige Jedi outfit. Her posture and body language aren't the best, always leaning on something, crossing her arms or resting them on her hips rather than the neutral stoicism of a stereotypical Jedi. Not one to stand still, were it not for her clothes or her lightsaber, her demeanor might make her seem like just some random naive young girl.

Personality: Strong-headed, stubborn, and reckless. She has a curiosity and skepticism that causes her to speak frankly, ask rudely, or venture where she shouldn't. She's also a bit of a thrill-seeker, never passing up the chance to engage in something interesting, even if it doesn't seem very safe. She's the kind of person who takes the path less taken, even if it looks less taken for a reason.

Profession: Jedi Knight

Skills & Abilities: Her strength is in her combat skills, dominant in Form IV (Ataru) and adept with V (Djem So), Elyka mostly relies on her lightsaber in combat and also happens to be ambidextrous. She is nimble and flexible, using her speed and acrobatics to outmaneuver or evade her opponents, even without her lightsaber. Combined with her use of the force, she can easily traverse most obstacles and terrain.

While her use of the force might not be as impressive as her dueling abilities, she is capable of using it to enhance her kinetic force. Usually that means jumping higher, moving faster, or striking harder. She isn't great at using it on other people, a force push may knock over a single foe (disarm them, more likely), but if she combines it with the bare-handed strike then she can more easily send them flying across the room.

This is something she has learned and practice, making her deadly even if her saber is "misplaced" by chance. Aside from the manipulation of lighter objects, her force powers pretty much end there (can't lift an X-wing to save her life). Her athletic reflexes allow her to use the armored vambrace on her left arm as a deflector against blaster fire, a lightsaber would slice through it like butter, but it's good backup when she's otherwise unarmed.

Her coordination also helps her when it comes to flying. She might not be the best pilot, but she can certainly strike fear into enemies in the sky, with her piloting style as reckless and daring as her approach to dueling. More than that though, she has a simplistic need for speed, whenever she can get her hands on something to pilot, that is.

Equipment:

Lightsaber: A blue lightsaber with the traditional straight hilt, mostly in silver and black accents with ribbed grips interspersed for her hands.

Bracer: A vambrace made of leather and a rare metal which composes the outwards facing armor plate. This is mostly used to deflect blaster fire, but could also make for a powerful backhand :)

Gadgets: She also keeps a small collection of useful items on her belt, besides her lightsaber.

• The one used the most is her commlink, which is just a small earpiece with a wiry mic that barely has to extend for use.
• Multi-functional compact binoculars that have a built-in rangefinder, vision modes (NV, IR, EMF).
• A couple emergency beacons to use for marking a target, calling an extraction, or as a distress signal.
• Food and energy capsules. Great for rejuvenating herself or grumpy allies and invaluable on long missions.
• A breather that fits over her mouth for extended underwater excursions or surviving hazardous gases.
• A fiber-cord grappling device, sometimes used just for restraining people or carrying others, rather than helping herself.
• Might add a spaceship here, but probably not. Not sure about Jedi's resources at this point in time.

Brief Backstory: Elyka was born to a noble family of Alderaan, House of Fé Agius, and was actually born on the planet only months before it's destruction. Her father was a Rebel guerrilla commander, and was lucky enough to finally convince her mother to come with their newborn to a Rebel base to a more remote system, despite her family preferring her to raise Elyka on their home world in comfort at their mountain estate. Almost all of their family was wiped out with the planet.

He died only a few years later, her mother never being told where and exactly when due to the secrecy surrounding his missions. She was too young to even remember the news. Her mother spiraled into depression, while Elyka spent time reading stories about the heroes of the rebellion, enamored by tales of epic dog fights and the power of the Jedi. She was never allowed to even leave the small town, let alone the planet that was their home for most of her life.

Her force sensitivity was discovered quite early on, though her mother attempted to suppress her desire of pursuing exactly the kind of life Elyka wanted. After years of a depression and increasing senility, her mother passed away peacefully in her sleep when Elyka was only 12. She then caught the eye of a Jedi who took her under his wing, originally coming to pay his respects to her father's family. He taught her how to use the force, how to wield a Jedi's weapon, and even how to fly.

That is two Jedi, for reference. I'm considering, at the most, four for those accompanying the New Republic team.

lol I was thinking about how funny it will be that most characters will prolly assume Saku's the younger, inexperienced one based on appearance when it's vice versa, especially considering the difference in their personality.

@PyroDash888: That possibility was brought up to me before. At the moment, I'd be open to it, as long as it's executed well.

@Zara: That's pretty much exactly what I was hoping for with Saku, given how young she looks. Especially for those unfamiliar with her race, and since they're going to be with a bunch of New Republic soldiers and pilots, and probably some smugglers, who have never met them before.

A moderately tall man at about 6'1 he probably weighs about 210, mostly muscle, though due to his coruscanti origins, his muscle is compact so he looks about average size for a humanoid. His handsome face is framed by short brown hair. He wears a leather jerkin with two holsters on his hips for his blasters and a brown overcoat
Personality: He is a comedic person most times, he is usually making jokes and having a good time. A smile rarely leaves his face, except when he is on business or angered. And when he is, it is not a good idea to mess with him. (sorry for the shorter personality, but i tend to demonstrate through the interactions)
Profession: Smuggler
Skills: Great shot, very charismatic
Abilities: can pilot quite well
Equipment: Twin revolver style blasters, small vibroblade
Brief Backstory: Orphaned on Coruscant, he grew up with some of the shadier people. Learning some of the underground, he found a less dangerous of the criminal pastimes, smuggling. It wasn't always drugs or guns, but when it was, Aundair didn't shirk from the pay. Anything to keep his smaller ship running just beyond the reach of anyone trying for payback. Usually the law, but he has pissed off a couple gangsters. Recently, his crew dispersed after a particularly close brush with authorities, but Aundair wasn't tagged, and is still trying to keep afloat.
