"My daddy wasn't very nice to me." He joked, but clearly twitched in anger when he had a minor flash back of the situation with the baseball bat and his drunk father. "It's just the way I am. You may just have to deal with it for a while. As for the manipulating, I'm not sure what gave you that idea." He put his hands in his pockets and put on an innocent face.

Listening to V explain what it was like in the streets for her, Wes looked down for a moment "Yeah...it does make me careless but when you have people constantly coming after you out of hatred and wanting to see you dead...not only does it piss me off...but...it made me numb to violence and mad at my power, turning me into a freak...so...yeah.." he explained a little.

If it wasn't noisy before, a new individual came over making poetic entrance directed towards him. He looked menacing but Wes didn't feel threatened at the moment. When asking what his name is, Wes hesitated and then looked away sigh "I'm Wesley...but you can call me Wes." he responded. "And who are you?"

Kiiros was quite happy that the new guy didn't seem to outright hate him, he's afraid that might change though in the future, so he at least tries to hang onto this one. He removed his arm from Wesley's shoulder and smiled politely. "My name is Kiiros Xanton. I worked as a contract killer and underground informant in a lonely city called Galevein."

"Kiiros Xanton?...the hell kinda name is that.....whatever....." Wesley listened about what Kiiros have done in his line of work, wondering if he hunted his own kind. He was a little curious what power he had. "That's what's up....you go out killin your own kind?" wondering if he needed to keep his eyes on him.

Kiiros looked confused. "My own kind? I kill humans yea... obviously..." Then he realized. "Oh, you mean mutants? No, never have. I've lived all my life thinking I was the only one until I was brought here."

Just passively watching as Kiiros is openly ok with killing regular humans she mentions "Do you see why I have issues with this guy? He is open about killing regular people and then proceeds to say he killed people without a hint or remorse. Again, don't hate you, Kiiros, just protective from a lunatic."

Raising an eyebrow, he figured this guy would probably kill humans but Kiiros finally answered his question about killing mutants, which left him a little less concerned now. "And what can you do?"

listening to Veronica "As long as he's not coming after me, I could care less."

Kiiros couldn't help but feel a little upset. 'It's not my fault I don't feel bad.' he also saw nothing wrong with being honest. At least he's not keeping his violent tendencies and aggressive behaviour to himself. He'd much rather be more open than that.

He looked to Wesley. "What can I do? Umm... " His thoughts were jumbled at the moment and he couldn't think properly like he usually does. He couldn't name them off the top of his head so he tried to recall what his exam doctor had written down. "I have fire abilities, or pyrokinesis is what the doc said. Very fast reflexes, good agility and uhh...." He couldn't recall the rest, his thoughts were all over the place. "That's all I got."

"Just trying to help make sure he won't turn on us."

"And as for you. Is it something in your mutation that makes you a heartless murderer? If you really can't control it, then fine. You're not much different then Jen. Still going to keep my guard up until I have seen that I can trust you."

Veronica didn't want to just be mean to Kiiros for no reason, just protective instincts from her life on the streets.

Kiiros pulled down his lower eyelid and stuck his tongue out at Veronica.

An arsonist....well it fitted him. "Oh...that's interesting...it's a little badass but dangerous as well. as long as you're not trying to burn everyone here down." he said

"If he does turn against us, I'm sure he can't take all of us down. Unless you need my protection or something." he suggested to Veronica to calm her mind about Kiiros

He was going to say something about burning things but decided not to. He began to fiddle with his cuff chains for the third time and just decided to watch the two.

Pft, need protection...ha...sigh. "I am actually more worried that he will either some how make/get us kill each other for his amusement or he will anger Jen to the point where she consumes him fully, going crazy and killing all of us us. Thanks for the offer though."

He looked at Veronica and said "If he tries killing us. I'll bne the one to kill him first." He then said to the group. ""We need a plan. I want to escape this place." David continued draning more energy from the tracker they put in him. But had to stop. he didnt want them to catch notice.

Kiiros felt quite insulted that these people thought so evilly of him. Then again he's not even sure if he would do such a thing like that himself, the idea kind of intrigued him, but it's not his goal so he forced the thought into the back of his head and tried to refocus on reality. He then noticed he's been scratching something under his cuffs that's been flaking off. He looked only to see the skin underneath was charred black. His face immediately paled. 'That's not a good sign...' He thought with worry. He stopped fiddling with the cuffs and lowered his hands into his pockets, hoping none of them would notice.

He shrugged "Well let's just hope we all don't go that far. but he never killed a mutant so...I'm not gonna worry for now and you're welcome.

"What's wrong with you?"

"I probably can get out of this place....but these punkass guard looks like they're not going to make it easy for me regardless of my ability."

"What do you mean?" He tried to calm his slightly racing heart.

Look, we will eventually break out, but right now? We are under the full supervision of this facility, part of the group probably wouldn't fight and the rest of us are probably not in a good position to fight" Veronica lowered her voice I have come up with a plan we can do later but we are not ready for that yet. For now, we just go along with what they say until we are all prepared." Some Ideas had circled in her mind, she needed to know more about how the team dynamics worked and every ones capabilities first.

"Alright children that is enough." the older scientist yelled over the group. He grabbed Katherin, who had been standing quietly unused to being around so many people, by her wing and pulled her to the wall. She cried out but didn't fight the older man. "Line up along the wall. You will go through the course one at a time. You will be score on how well you complete the course, if you do, and how long it takes you. This is only the first of these type of tests."

Veronica had two thoughts- Either go early and potentially show traps on the course for others, also showing how to do, at least some of, these challenges, or hang back and let others discover things for her to get an advantage.

Veronica eventually walked over and stood next to Katherin, knowing she would either be really early or super late. "Good luck" Veronica whispered to Katherin.
