Damien retracted his hand as soon as Jen stood up. He mumbled, forgetting that Jen was really sensitive to and with her powers. "Uh, shit, I'm uhhh... sorry." Damien blurted, the words barrelling out of his mouth. He cursed himself in his head. Nice one, dickhead...

Jen glared at the scientist and made her way back to the wall, slumping against it.

Kiiros went and tapped Jens shoe with his. "Hey, how you feeling?" He only sounded a little concerned. His face showed no emotion otherwise, then again it might be hard to tell with a black eye.

"Go away," Jen snapped, scowling at him.

He shrugged, "Okay then." returning back to where he was.

Jen sighed and sat down, her back against the wall. She felt miserable and humiliated.

Jen looked terrible. Veronica wanted to give her another emotion but she was drained.
"Hey Jen, how are you feeling?" Veronica said as she came over and sat by Jen, partly to not be standing over her and partly because she was tiered.

"I just embarassed myself in front of everyone, My whole body is sore, and for the god-knows-how many time today, I've fed on someone against my will," She said, sniffing a little.

The added Worry probably did her no favors. This would have to be handled tactfully.

"You weren't that bad, you were actually better than me with what you did! You are faster and stronger! I only made it because I have dealt with similar things before and my power gave me more at the time than yours could have. And those villainous scientists are the ones to blame for your harm." Veronica then hugged Jen, being careful to not touch her skin at all. "On the upside, you just might get to see Kiiros fall in."

"I heard that." He called from the other side of the room.

"Hey. At least I said that someone other than you was the real villain!" She shouted back.

Jen smiled and leaned into the hug a bit.
"Thank you," She said.

Quietly observing the first two volunteers while leaning against the wall with his back, Wes managed to take note as to how to go through the course. Seeing the struggles of both of the ladies, checking if Jen was ok when she fell in the water, Wes started to have second thoughts of intentionally falling in the water. Seeing Damien save Jen and watching her finish and the who commotion between V, the scientist, and Kiiros, Wes sighed, not feeling the need to get involved and stepped forward

"I guess I'll go..."

"Save your strength on the salmon ladder. Its better to do it slower rather than quickly," Jen said to Wes, giving him a quick nod.

David sat watching Veronica go through the course. She didgood. He decided he would go in awhile but not yet

Walking up, he could hear the encouragement. Turning to look at Jen and V, he nodded "Alright, I appreciate it." she said to the girls. It was new for him to have someone cheering and encouraging him. It felt weird but...it felt a little good. He walked up to the starting point of the course. "Alright...just try and handle the course on my own. Don't adapt body....don't adapt." he thought as at that moment, he went for a sprint, going across the first part of the course, left, right, left, swiftly getting through the panels. This was no different from him having to run from goons with guns and having to get through the hood.

Getting through and to the next stage of the course, Wes thought to himself "That had to be about 6 to 7 seconds." passing through with relative ease.

Kiiros was beginning to really want to go through the course. Seeing all the others was making him eager to show off his own skills. 'I know I can be so much better than these guys....' He was highly confident in his physical speed and capability because it was part of his mutation, it's what would always give him the advantage in a fight. He tapped at the bruise under his eye, 'I guess it's not useful all the time though.' Being distracted is the one thing that prevents him from reacting fast enough. If he wasn't so busy laughing, he might have been able to block that punch. 'Can't believe the bastard actually hit me though.' he couldn't suppress a giggle at the fact that he made Damien lose his nerve.

Now came the salmon latter, The moment Wes grabbed on and attempted to go up on the first bar and then the second, his body could feel the struggle until adapting by increasing his physical attributes enough where he had no trouble making it to the last bar and getting to the foothold of the next part of the course.

Now he needed to run across the hanging balls as his attributes were still enhanced, using his enhanced speed to make it through with no real trouble. Now it was time for the swing and the net.

Using his momentum and finally going for the leap that looked like a superman flight gesture, he caught onto the net, climbing up to make it to the next part. He still had his enhancements as he hung on to the wheel, heading down until getting to the wall and waited a few moment.

"Power...I know it's you...and of course...you're not leaving until I'm done with this course but will the scientist know if it was me or the power?"

Must be his adaptation mutation, and a bit of showing off...If the scientist doesn't say something about his mutation helping him through... Veronica thought half joking and partly bitter about the scientist's comments.
