He frowned when Veronica got involved and shrugged. "What can I say? It's in my nature." He gave a real smile as if he did nothing wrong and started fiddling with the long chain of his cuffs again. Having been kept from sunlight for such a long time, which often calms his aggressive behaviour, has been making him restless and feeling trapped. It didn't help that the room they were in had no windows. He didn't even know what time it was.

James gave Kiiros a blank look. "I don't think any of us like your nature. Now will you please shut up before I lose my temper and flay you with your own spine? Your voice irritates me."

'Such hatred.' He's use to people threatening him and hating him, hell it's part of his job, but he was hoping he'd eventually get along with the other mutants. 'Miiiight have already lost my chance...' He's not good at making friends at all, he wasn't raised that way, his father always said they're a waste of time but Kiiros didn't want to believe that. Nonetheless he decided he would listen and shut up for a while.

Jen let out a sigh, turning back to study the assault course.

We can disagree and not like each other, but we need to..." lowering her voice so the guards couldn't hear, "...remember who our enemy is, we all want to escape this place and we can't do that if we are whipping people with vertebrae." These people are more violent then I thought.

"I don't want to escape," Jen said calmly.

"W...wai...what? seriously? Well...ummm...Okay. Good to know."

First off: Not wanting to escape these people? And second off: She may have basically just told the guards we/I said something about escape... Sigh.

James reached over and patted Jen on the shoulder, leaning closer to whisper. "If we escape, you have a better chance of learning to control your ability so you don't hurt anyone...in here they're just gonna send you off to places where your ability will be useful, and probably find some way to make it more out of control..."

Jen moved away from James's touch.
"Please don't touch me," She said, a small shiver going through her body, "But... I'll consider it."

As James pulled his hand back, if one were to look closely they'd see a thin layer of bone retracting from where he'd used it as a defense against her power, since bones themselves don't really have much energy to take.

Jen chewed her lip.
"I'm just not sure," She said quietly, "How would I feed? They've said that they'll provide a different person for me to feed on each day here."

Damien rubbed his wrists as the cuffs were taken off. Damien increasingly got angry at this Kiiros dude. But... he let the others sort out the problem. Everyone here offered something unique, which should be good for the coming days. It was unlikely they wouldn't have to do a couple missions before having a chance to escape. "All right guys! Let's cut it out and calm down, unless we all want to be starting something we all really don't want to, okay?" He offered. Damien was going to be incredibly cautious of Kiiros, and was going to have a word with him outside of earshot out of everyone else.

Wes was with the group waiting for the course to start. He was next to the wall keeping to himself. Knowing the cuffs would come off, he wondered if they knew what they were getting into with him not having his restraints. He could hear others talking to each other but didn't bother getting involved. He was more focused on getting his freedom again.

"Hey you on the wall! Want to come join the group? Be more social with the Anti-Kiiros + Kiiros squad?"

Kiiros stuck his tongue out at Veronica. "Bite me."

"You would probably taste like a mixture between bitter and salty, not my taste." She retorted back at Kiiros.

Wes looked over at the girl who call him. it first, he hesitated, not really in the mood to mingle "Why?" he asked. He's been alone most of his life, why would someone take interest in him now?
