Several Clone medics rush out, tending to Dual's wounds, along side his demon's. However, Dual manages to pull out a single piece of paper, that he gently tosses to Asura, before he is carried away. When Asura would no doubt look at the paper, his blood may run cold....

"First order...Assassinate the Clone Goddess, Klonos. After, distract the Kishin Asura long enough for Death City to be destroyed. Burn this paper after reading it.- The Boss"

Whoever the Boss was, they were planning on destroying Death city, or what was left of it...most likely, with Maka in it.
"....You'd better go get her kid, you're running out of time." Tiny says, reading the note over Asura's shoulder. He then turns to Mithias. "You, you'd also better go with him...." Tiny says, as if dropping a hint to what will happen next......Tiny then vanishes, heading off to somewhere else.

"......SON OF A BITCH!!!" Asura roars before spiralling to death city. Ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum.

And he didn't have any bubblegum

((Due to wraithblade not replying in a while.))
When he tries to, he finds himself teleported about a good 30 miles from death city, and odd field around it preventing direct teleportation. From the position he ends up at, he can see it. A huge rocket heading right for Death City, a glare though the sky...and Maka was there, none the wiser. What was needed...what she needed...was a hero.....

As he rises to meet the rocket, he notices something..it really is a rocket, not a missile, transporting something, it's soul faintly being readable though the rocket's shielding. The soul is faintly familiar, just like with Dual's demon. Whoever this Boss is, they're creating soldiers that have something to do with someone Asura knows....

Mithias frowns at the note, centuries of experience opening his eyes to the dark possibilities. "I just want you both to know, this is a setup, and I called it before it went off. Anyway, let's go." He then joined the teleport to 30m outside of Death city with Asura.

The rocket is visible, although his vision isn't quite as keen as it was when he was undead. Quickly, he glanced around. "Tiny's not coming?" But Ausra had already flown off, trying to stop the rocket.

Mithias considered his options, and flew off alongside Ausra as well, using his telekinesis.

"Ausra, grab it with your scarves. Together we can redirect the rocket's... What are you doing?" Mithias exclaims as he sees Asura attempt to climb onto the flying rocket and pry into it." That guy needed to talk more.

Nonetheless, while Asura is oddly humping the rocket for some reason, Mithais uses his power to bend the rocket's trajectory off course. The thing would at least miss Death city and land someplace barren.

"Trajectory altered. Course, disturpted. Activating....Protocal....EXTERMINATE.EXE" A robotic, booming voice says, filled with a strange, almost....alive, tone of anger. Robotic, yet....with a hint of something more. Slowly, from the seams the rocket, light escapes, as it quickly expands, as if it was being pumped full of air at a rapid rate. It explodes, sending a hail of steel shrapnel raining down onto death City, and the desert surrounding it. Floating there, stop a strange, glowing platform, made from some sort of energy, a tall, humanoid robotic, nearly 6 feet tall, stands there.
"..Targets...Mithias....Vampire, turned human.......Best course of attack......cold.
Asura, Kishin, heroic yet human, dispite him being not at all human. Best course of attack....attacks on the mind, and on the he-" He begins, before he points an arm towards death city, a hail of rockets firing from several compartments that open up on his arm. It's obvious this robotic assassin has information on the group...it'd be best to not hold back against someone who knows what you can do.

"It had to be a robot." Asura mutters. His wavelength would be useless against it, but that didn't stop asura from using his trump card.

Regurgitating vajra and shooting his foe until it died...it was a start.

Mithias gasped mid-air as the rocket exploded and the robot appeared. All those pieces of fast schrapnel... He didn't have the mental acuity and dexterity to telekinetically catch and shift each one. A lot of the bits rained down onto the city below, causing damage, injury, and possibly death.

Seeing Asura had engaged the robot, Mithias thought to help the clueless denizens and swooped down. "Get back in your homes! Seek cover!" He yelled at the inhabitants, hoping they would be able to escape whatever havoc was going to rain down next. This somehow reminded him of a time long ago when he had tried to protect humans from vampires. Ohh the powers the predatory undead had. Mere people were just as helpless then. Families fell like rabbits in the fields, and it wasn't even fair. Here he was, once again, repeating the same history. He glared up at the eternal and simultaneously non-existent god above in recognition of the irony of his understanding.

- Kisaki Mao -

- Tartarus, Spider's Den -

The warrior sat in one of the many hive chambers, silently meditating with crossed legs. He would soon return to the city to sleep, as he had completed the task given to him. Although the child he had sought to rescue was dead, he had avenged his death manyfold on the spider population, and had retrieved evidence of the child's passing. At the very least he hoped to provide some measure of consolation to the parents. He would love to refuse the meager monetary reward he had been offered, but even a great warrior needed to eat, and he doubted these creatures were in any way edible. Although, then again, maybe if cooked right....

This catastrophic train of thought was interrupted by the sound of a stone, moved slightly. A normal person might have missed the slight sound, but Kisaki had spent his entire life honing his senses. Someone was moving through the tunnels, and from the sound (or rather, lack thereof), they were doing so with some measure of skill. There was no reason for one of the locals to approach this place. It held no riches, and was the home of the spider-like creatures that preyed on the inhabitants of this world. Based on this person's stealthy approach, they were skilled. This meant one of two things. This stranger had arrived either to help him, or to kill him. And Kisaki had no intention of waiting to find out which of the two it was.

With all the grace and litheness of a snake, he uncoiled himself, before softly pushing off against the ground. He softly floated up to the ceiling, absorbing and redirecting the force of gravity to assist him in his semi-flight. This was Air Dance, a technique he had developed to increase his mobility in combat. And it served him well as he waited on the ceiling, much like a spider himself. He placed himself directly over the entrance to the chamber, even as he heard the occasional sound of movement to herald the approach of this mysterious stranger. He waited there for almost 2 minutes, patient and silent.

A slight shifting in the earth was the only herald of the incoming attack. The ground under his hands rippled as the earth itself pulled him in, hard stone clamping around his hands as he was unexpectedly held in place. Hunter became the hunted as a his opponent revealed himself, a cloaked humanoid figure whom's face was obscured by the hood of their robe. Two glowing dots showed where the eyes would have been, some kind of vision-enhancing spell that had allowed this mage to spot him through the stone that had separated them. He had barely made this realization when the mage gestured upwards, a gout of flame erupting from their outstretched hand.

Forced into a corner, Kisaki unleashed a powerful burst of kinetic energy from his hands. The stone holding him in place shattered with a loud crack even as the force launched him backwards and away from the magical flamethrower. He moved through the air like a glider, Air Dance carrying him over the sudden wafts of hot air as he moved to the other side of the dark area. The flames died out and once more the darkness pressed down on the combatants. All he could see of his opponent was two glowing dots, and yet he already knew that his every move was clear as day to this mage. He shot forward, Dragon Form augmenting his speed as he dashed blindly. His body and mind had been trained for combat in all environments, and his feet automatically placed themselves on the uneven rock even as his stance automatically adjusted. But even with that he was at a disadvantage in the darkness.

A second burst of flame came to meet his advances, the sudden brightness blinding his eyes. But he had many other senses to rely on, and he knew that if he were to dodge to the side, the flames would simply follow him. If he were to move back, he would be kept at a distance continuously, unable to get into melee. Normally that was an excellent tactic, as mages would often run out of steam long before his more energy-efficient power ran out of energy. After all, he recharged just by existing, constantly siphoning energy from the force of gravity. But this was a rather cramped space, and the only exit was behind his attacker. The more ground he gave, the less room he would have to manoeuvre, and the less he would be able to dodge. His only shot was a direct attack.

As he met with the wall of flames his right arm shot out, punching the air in front of him. He focused the energy of his entire body, putting the power of his entire body behind it. He then projected that force, placing it beyond his fist and into the air, pushing at it and manipulating it with the power of his body. An invisible vortex shot forth from the tip of his fist, a vacuum forged from the parting of the air directly. The flames were torn in half, a pathway becoming visible for just a moment as the mage took a step backwards. The Hollow Fist, the ability to project a vacuum to counter flames both magical and mundane. It granted him a moment, which was all he needed. After all, even the most powerful mage would be surprised for a moment after their spell failed.

Kisaki filled his body with kinetic energy, launching it forward at superhuman speeds as he closed the remaining distance in less than a second. The mage was already raising another hand, preparing a spell of some kind, as Kisaki's fist moved in. He struck the mage in the forehead, a calculated blow as he regulated the energy of the impact. He absorbed part of the force back into himself, and applied the rest to the Mage's forehead. They rocked back under the force, their brain being slammed into the back of their skull. It was a force that would knock out a normal person, and yet this mage was merely stunned for a moment, as they found their footing again. Their body had been reinforced by magic, increasing their damage tolerance. Kisaki performed a quick second punch, applying a bit more force. This time the mage went down, sprawling on the floor as the light from their eyes faded away. The two consecutive punches had happened in the blink of an eye.

Kisaki took a moment to calm down, gathering his wits about him as he listened for any secondary attackers. There were none. This stranger had attempted to assassinate him on their own. That had been a bad call on their part. Kisaki reached down, picking up the mage and flinging them over his shoulder. It would be a while before they woke up, and Kisaki needed answers. If there was somebody out for his life, he would need to know their name and location. It seemed he wouldn't be staying in Tartarus after all.

The many energy blasts slammed into the metallic body of the robot, sending it tumbling back, before it manages to deflect a blast with a sudden backhand in the style of DBZ.
"Asura, energy blasts....dangerous. Current options for attack...." The robot begins, before it blurs, and appears before Asura, grabbing his head in its hands, trying to force his jaw shut.
"Use jump drive. Shut his mouth.....Crush, his skull." it growls, as it indeed, tries to collapse Asura's head in its cold mechanical hands....

Mithias would find..no one there. It was as if the city was a ruin, one a girl with blond pigtails having been down there, and who had easily dodged the shrapnel rain. She quickly vanishes into the ruins upon Mithias's arrival.

This was really strange. A city devoid of a populace? Why then would some devil somewhere far off want to destroy it? Mithias stopped as he realized nobody was around. If he had still been a vampire, he would have easily sensed the lack of heartbeats and bloodscent, but that thirst no longer accompanied him. Oh well. It wasn't like he ever went out drinking with friends anyway.

Out of the corner of his eye, he caught the image of a blonde girl running off between the buildings. It was probably that Maka girl that Asura liked so much. Maybe she thought Mithias was one of the enemies and decided to flee. True, Mithias was potentially intimidating, but wasn't he human now too? Did he still seem so monstrous with his soft hands and warm skin? He sighed inwardly. Even being alive again won him no affection.

A clang of metal sounded above. It looked like Asura was keeping the robot busy for now. Mithais decided to chase after the girl. As he ran after her, the sense of reliving the past still haunted him. It was irksome, as if something were trying to get his attention. Why was life so unreal? Had he died in that battle on Tor 6, or had he been in a coma since his first walk through a portal in Hawaii? Devils and hydras and the slaughter scene of Adam's office, becoming human again? What about that green-suited guy on the clone ship? Yeah, he was probably insane.

For some reason, this time, it didn't seem pointless. He'd chase Maka and accept his role with innocence and calm, perhaps even with curiosity. He wanted to meet her and ask her some questions. Supposedly, she could fight, so maybe she'd be useful against that ridiculous robot.

"Maka!" Mithias called and slowed down when she turned back to look at him. "Kind of odd to be living in an abandoned city. Don't you think?"

The robot's clasp remains tight, but Asura's kick does dent in its mechanical frame.
"I will not let go, not until you're head it crushed..." It beeps out, enraged. It was not going to let go, unless it was destroyed, or its arms were torn off.
------

Surprisingly, Maka gets the drop on Mithias, knowing the ruins far better than he. She leaps down, a blade, a large knife at the ready, landing on his shoulders, blade pressed to his throat. Her clothing is in tatters, and she looks..rough, to say the least.
"Who are you, what's that weird robot attacking Asura? Are you allied with it?" She asks, knife to Mithias's throat. She sounds scared, and angry. Like, in a way, an animal, driven to a fearful move.

Mithias staggered as his quick reflexes were jolted into action by the sudden weight of a schoolchild landing on his back. He had no idea how she had managed to get above him, of course it had to have been magic of some kind, nonetheless, his hand instinctively intercepted the blade that was driven at his neck. The edge cut him as he grasped it, causing a good amount of bleeding down his arm. Fortunately, he was a fair bit stronger than the Maka and kept himself from insta-dying. He gasped at the pain of it. He would have been intrigued at the sensation, but he didn't have the time to dwell on it in that moment.

"Please, no. I no longer wish to die." He said strangely. Seeing as Maka was making demands, instead of killing him, he didn't feel it necessary to throw her off immediately, so he stayed in place with her on his back. She was ragged, scared, and angry. He could easily sense her surface thoughts and emotions and felt sympathy. Things were not right in whatever universe this was, but his principles and motives were still the same. He would help. He would play the role written into his heart in whatever game this was. It was time to leave behind frantic rebellion and accept circumstance with grace and maturity. "I am Mithias, ever-dreaming. I am unable to awaken and unable to die. I don't know what that robot is, or why it's here. I am also most certainly insane, so of course I would be friends with Asura." He added with mild amusement. "Actually..." He looked at his bleeding hand as he slowly let go of the blade. "...I might be able to die after all." The wound hurt, and it wasn't healing all that rapidly, at least, not compared to when he had been undead, if that had even been real.

Curiously, he licked a bit of blood from his palm while Maka decided what she was going to do next.

He frowned. ... That was weird.

As Kisaki began to lift the unconscious mage, he found his enemy had been carrying something rather large over his shoulder. Wrapped in layers of black cloth, it was a sword, a shining, elegant, yet sharp and durable longsword. It had a silver colored circle at the center of its guard, with radiant rays extending into the cross which were also supported by two golden wings. It felt incredibly light, as if it were made with some type of precious and rare metal. Surely it was expensive. Its grip was soft and comforting, bound with some kind of white leather. If he examined it anywhere near a light, he might see a single strand of white hair caught around its friendlier end.

A funny thing for a child-napping, fire-wielding, black mage to be carrying. Doubtful that it was meant to be a murder weapon. Questions only deepened when Kisaki grasped it properly and it healed his wounds.

Kisaki might not be a mage, but he didn't need to be to recognize that this was a magical weapon of some sort. As he held it he could feel his demon arm shrink away from it, and he chose to hold it in his left arm instead. It was a divine weapon of some sort, and just holding it made him feel refreshed. The scrapes and bruises he had picked up during his battles healed up, and he could feel even older scars slowly disappearing. It was an odd sensation, and he realized this weapon was an artifact to be treasured. Of course, he'd have to find a mage of some sort to properly identify it. While it seemed benign enough, he had no intention of carrying a cursed weapon with him. Wrapping it in cloth he stuffed it into his bag, before setting out once more towards the city.

Back in Yubelheim, Kisaki swiftly dealt with the parents of the lost child. It was unpleasant business, and Kisaki felt no happier leaving them to their tears. But at least they now had some solace, instead of gnawing uncertainty. That at least he was able to deliver them. The next order of business was to have this weapon checked out. While he didn't have much money, he was able to hunt even in this place. He could spend some of his food money on an inspection, and make it up with some hunting. It could also double as training, considering the fact that even the most peaceful creatures in this realm were adapted to the horrific predators that stalked the darkness. Soon he found himself in front of a cozy little shop that read 'Puropal Pendleton, Hedge Wizard'. While this promised nothing good, he had heard that this fellow knew his stuff on the subject of magic, even if he was a little odd.

Walking in, he found a tiny, hunchbacked man behind the counter. The entire shop was filled with books strewn across the floor, as well as a rather odd assortment of trinkets. While most of it looked like junk to Kisaki, he made sure not to touch anything. It was best not to take any risks when in the house of a wizard, even a hedge wizard. It took a moment before Puropal noticed him, although when he did he revealed a mouthful of golden teeth in a bright smile. "So, what can I do for you?" The wizard's voice was high-pitched and nasally. A perfect fit for his diminutive frame and hunched back.

"I'd like to have an artifact examined. I want to know what it does." Reaching into his backpack, Kisaki would produce the sword, still wrapped in burlap. The wizard gingerly accepted the package, removing bits of cloth to take a closer look. The wizard held out a hand towards Kisaki expectantly, and Kisaki dropped a few Siphr in the outstretched palm. Puropal glanced at his payment and shrugged, before shooing Kisaki off with his other hand, carefully putting away the golden coins. "Scram. I work best without an audience."

"I'd rather stay. Please tell me when you're done." Kisaki had gotten scammed before. Some mages would exchange the artifact with a magically created but useless replica, selling the original. While his few sources had told him Puropal was trustworthy, he chose to believe his own eyes rather than the opinions of others. So he moved a few books onto the floor and took place on one of the many rickety wooden chairs. Taking control of his breathing he resumed his meditation, clearing his mind to focus on the question of where to go next.

Puropal, for his part, merely shrugged and continued. Removing the burlap, he retrieved a number of crystal lenses from under his desk. He'd proceed to examine the artifact with a number of simple, probing spells, attempting to figure out how this particular artifact worked. Even with his level of skill he recognized the blade to be an artifact beyond what was usually found here, and the strange magical energies surrounding it had piqued his interest.
