Hadrian was glad to have Eddy show up, it meant that he had someone who he had been monitoring longer than some of the others. Also the being fascinated him thanks to his inhuman appearance and strange powers. It seemed like the rest of the team was busy finding their rooms and that gave Hadrian some to think about what to do next. One part of him wanted them to get straight into training, while another thought that it would be best to let them get use to their new living situation. He was still contemplating this when the headquarters's alarms went off. The entire base was filled with blaring sounds and flashing lights.

"Titans! Assemble!" Hadrian shouted in the over the com and waited for his teammates in the entrance hall.

Eddy was surprised to be already seeing some action with this team, but that was all part of the job of being a hero. Now all he could do was be strong and hope that his teammates were up to the task.

Mao stood rigidly with his hand clasped around the doorknob to a bedroom and groaned loudly as the alarms began blaring inside of the base. Being that he had little more than a few articles of clothing, his phone, and a charger, Mao had been looking forward to simply getting himself a room and taking himself a long nap, content with worrying about actually putting away his things later. Instead the young metahuman gave a heavy sigh and threw the bag into the middle of the room, not even taking the chance to look inside to see what the bedroom actually looked like before he reluctantly turned around and trotted back towards the entrance.

Once met with Hadrian at the entrance Mao clasped his hands over his ears and cringed at the intensity of the alarms going off, "Christ alive that thing's loud! What's going on?" he yelled, trying to be heard over the noise.

As Niki introduced herself and her companion, Kimberly sensed something. Kimberly had no idea what it was, only that skin tingle. Unbeknownst to her, what Kimberly was sensing was Niki's energy field. It wasn't doing anything harmful to her, but the feeling persisted within Niki's presence. "Conner, it feels weird in here," Kimberly remarked, confused as she turned her head from side to side and held her arms close to her. "Conner?" Kimberly asked, having had no reply from Conner, so she looked up to see Conner staring at Niki with wonder. "Conner!" Kimberly said more firmly as she smacked him gently on the face.

Conner, broken out of his trance, looked at Kimberly and exclaimed, "Ah, what?"

Kimberly gave Conner a rather disapproving look. "Let's get you out of this room," Kimberly said, pushing Conner out the door. "Ok, ok, jeez," Conner said to Kimberly. Conner looked back at Niki and waved while saying, "Um, bye!"

Once the pair were out the door, Conner asked, "What was that for?" Kimberly merely replied with a stink-eye and a "Hmph," as she walked away.

Before the two could converse further, alarms sounded and lights flashed.

"Titans! Assemble!" Hadrian shouted in the over the com and waited for his teammates in the entrance hall.

Needing no further prompt, the two made their way to the entrance hall. Something was going on, and they were there to help.

Light was inspecting her room, having viewed all the powers of the titans that were willing to show them. She didn't know what the others wanted, but she didn't need much for a room besides a good bed and thus took the smallest one she could find. Writing her name using her sharp fingers on the door, an alarm sounded as all the titans were called to the entrance for a mission. "A mission already?" She said, making her way there.

"So, whats the alarm for?" Light said, arriving as the 6th titan to the room. Pulling out a chair, Light sat down, looking at who had arrived while hanging off the back of it. She looked around the room, playing with her hair while waiting for the rest of the team, waving hello at who she saw. She didn't know what to think of the goo boy though, so until she saw him in action she didn't pay him too much attention.

Aria appeared out of the shadows and flew over to the group. She crossed her arms stubbornly. "What is going on? We just got here...." She said with a sigh, pulling her hood back up over her head. She didn't really look around at who was there. Aria just kept to her own thoughts as she waited.

Xercas

After getting Harold in the room to sleep, Xercas left the room as he heard the alarms go off. He sighed roughly as he noted that Harold didn't wake up. " Just after he went to sleep. I'm not sure that I can wake him in time." He said to himself.

He had been through the same situation with the serpent boy before when they were heading northwards, getting drowsy and falling asleep next to him for warmth. It wasn't the boys fault, but Xercas emitted heat that most people would think he's sick. Making a quick bee line towards the meeting room, he lost his way as soon as he stepped out of the room, and somehow ended up in the kitchen.

"A quick snack won't hurt anyone." He told himself as he went in the kitchen. Grabbing a snack bar and something to drink, he ate it quickly before heading to the meeting area before he gotten lost again.

NEKO

Neko who'd been hanging around the Titan's lounge trying to decide if she wanted a room inside the facility or to find some place in the nearby forest heard the noisy alarms and the summons.

With a few graceful bounds she was near the assembling group around the male who had claimed alpha status and sat on her ankles waiting as her tail bent it's self in to S patterns behind her.

NIKI / CG

Niki heard the alarm an call and stepped over to the bag Teddy had been sitting on an shoo'd him off.

Her thought's touched what to anyone who saw it appeared to be a strange cube of green an gold. The cube responded by converting it's self into a liquid that flowed over her feet and up her legs and quickly covered her entire body

She then converted her violin into her stun gun and told Teddy to watch the store as she headed out the door.

She soon was with the others looking nothing like herself and her energy field was powering her various equipment an was ready for action.

"What's up? she asked in a sultry yet mechanical tone

Drake got excited as the alarms went off. "Oh man, this is going to be our first mission. We're going to be awesome, and we'll be working as a team. We'll probably even pulll off some sweet combos." He decided to calm down again at this point, and waited to for the others to find out what was going on. A few had already made their way back into the main room. They mostly looked the same as they left, but Xercas was missing his snake friend. They also gained some power suit chick. It took Drake a moment to stop drooling and realize who it was, but once he felt her energy field he realized it was Niki. He wasn't sure which version of her he was more attracted to now.

Hadrian watched as the others quickly came into the entrance hall and he waited until all of them were gathered before showing them the situation. He took a device out from his pocket and pressed a button on it. A holographic screen appeared above their heads and it showed images of a devastated New York city block with fire and smoke everywhere. The screen also showed a tall man garbed in battle armor with a score of demonic looking soldiers.

"It's Steppenwolf, one of Darkseid's elite and general of his armies. The league was afraid of Apokolips invading eventually now that Superman, batman and Wonder Woman are gone. We have to get their quickly, we must use the Titans Jet. Follow me!" he said aloud and quickly hurried to the garage area of the base. The room was large and more than enough fit several vehicles including a jet plane that was built for team transport. Hadrian quickly opened the entrance ramp and hurried into the vehicle.

"Don't touch any of the control, I'll be flying this plane" he ordered as he sat down in the pilot seat.

Eddy was a little excited to be seeing some action and the sight of the jet was a very impressive experience. Now they had a way of traveling in style and he quickly entered the plane.

"I hope you know how to fly thing" he said jokingly as he hardened his body to be able to sit in one of the passenger seats.

Mao paled a bit at the scenes of devastation that had been shown to him and the other titans. It stole his breath away, and of all the words that he could have possibly been used to describe it, horrific was the only one that came even sort of close. The teen felt fear well up inside him, and yet in spite of it he still found himself following after Hadrian. As he took one of the seats the image he'd been shown replayed several times in his head. The site unsettled Mao to be sure, but following this loop was thought of how many people had lived in that area, of how many of them had been injured or killed for seemingly no reason, and with this thought, that uneasy feeling partially gave way to a white hot streak of anger.

Mao sat stone faced in his chair, his patient nature tempering him enough to not visibly give away his true feelings. He took a series of deep breaths both to try and calm himself as well as prep him for battle. A strange sound filled the air, not unlike the sound of cracking glass. Mao raised his arms ever so slightly from his seated position as a series of dull grey spots cropped up on his arms and hands. The spots appeared to be semiliquid in nature as they expanded to coat his arms in their entirety. Mao sped up the process a bit by rubbing the substance on like one would do with sunblock or lotion, curling his fingers and arms inwards every so often to keep them from being coated. When he was content with how it looked, Mao balled his hands into fists and swung them into one another, the substance on his fingers and knuckles hardening just moments before the impact. A single sharp 'clang' echoed through the interior of the plane before the rest of the substance hardened in response to the impact. When he was done, Mao held out his arms to examine his work, looking for all the world as though he'd just donned the vambraces and gauntlets of a medieval knight. "It's Hadrian, right? You seem to know a little about this guy we're about to fight, so what exactly should we expect to walk into?" Mao inquired with in a slightly sharper tone than what he'd used prior to now.

Being escourted to the jet, Light laughed at the notion of her touching any controls. "Don't worry boss." Light said, playfully poking him with the middle of her finger. "Technology and me don't get along well." Looking at the cyborg and the cyber lady, she said. "So no intimate stuff between me and you two. I can't be held responsible for what happens to ya if you insist. Light said with a massive grin, sitting in her seat.

She noticed that one of the other members was starting to materialize armor, which made her think about their enemy. "Who is this guy anyway? Is he as fun as the clown man?" Light said.

NEKO

Neko watched the others and caught the scent of fear coming from some of them and if this monster man had caused all the destruction she saw in the image she could understand why. She herself wasn't afraid because she didn't fear the loss of her life because she didn't have any reason to worry about such an inevitable thing.

As a result she simply closed her eyes an allowed her consciousness to slip into neutral as most felines could. To those around her she might seem to be sleeping but she was just at the edge of awareness; ready to act at the first sign of trouble.

NIKI / CG

CG walked aboard the jet allowing her mind to connect with the complex machine and interrogate it's systems.
She had to do this so that Hadrian wouldn't interpret her as trying to take control.

"Hadrian might I offer my services as co pilot? she asked standing a few feet behind him.

She hoped that he'd confirm her request because she knew her own special abilities could give them an advantage that without her they'd lose.

Drake had calmed down as he saw the images. He wasn't downtrodden, but he could read the room and settled himself down. Evidently Hadrian knew what they were fighting and that was good enough for him. They all went down to a garage with a plane inside. As Drake found his seat a couple others began to ask about the threat they would be facing. He was interested as well and listened intently for Hadrian's answer.

Hadrian waited for the rest of them to enter the jet before getting into an explanation about their foe and he got the jet into motion as it quickly took off out of the launchpad that had emerged out of the base and woods. Once the Titan Jet was in the air, he began to explain to his teams about who Steppenwolf was.

"Steppenwolf is a New God, for those of you that don't know the New Gods are a race of extremely powerful immortals that live outside normal time and space in a place known as the Fourth World. They live on two planets, the lush and beautiful New Genesis and the fiery and hellish world of Apokolips. The New Gods of New Genesis are good and the ones of Apokolips are bad. Darkseid is their ruler and Steppenwolf is his uncle and general of his army. He is very strong and in this situation he will have troops of parademons who are flying soldiers that will try to kill you. Do not engage him alone, he'll most likely kill you, we must work together as a team" he said to them with a firm voice. Hadrian then turned to look at Nicki when she asked about being co-pilot.

"As long as you don't mess around with the controls, Only one person needs to fly this plane, but you can at least help look out for any trouble on the radar sensors" he replied to her as the plane climbed high into the air.
