another option is domestication....which would be really really difficult but if one convinces a plantoid not to eat them and that it is beneficial to them then it is possible to do that as well

I might try that as well. I would think that would take a lot longer than thirty years though. For now the Tari will just raise them until they begin to get aggressive and then kill them. Would that work. From what I read it seemed that they used people to help raise them until they got older and then ate them.
