This RP is a reboot of a former RP. I think things will work better this time, with a smaller team of writers where each is able to control multiple characters. Since this is a reboot, it only feels fair to give a heads up to everyone that was writing on the original RP, False Paradise. I hope one or two of you are still interested! Thanks!

This seems really cool, and I'd love to make up a character.
Just one question; what do you mean by main character & side character? Sorry if that's a silly question :0c

Awesome! There are no bad questions. Your main character will be the person that you build all the way from the moment they find themself in this world. Through that character, you will go on diverse adventures and obtain new powers.

Side characters are more like static support characters. They are there to help drive the plot and give the main characters more people to interact with. But you will not be character building these guys and gals.

That make sense?

@Balthazar007 Hows this? :>

Name: Cammila thebe Ocaris
Age: 14
Exp Points: 0
From Year: 450 B.C; Golden Age of Athens
Home Land: Thebes, Greece; In the Roman Empire

Appearance:
A small but quaint child. Brown curls fall around her face and green eyes glint in the mischievous way of children. Her attire consists mostly of loose patterned dresses of cotton or silk.

Personality:

Being a child she is prone to want things to go her way and asks a lot of questions. Really she isn't so frightened of the new world as she is curious. Having free range is another feeling she isn't used to and unsure about, she went from staying at home all the time to not even having a home. She is usually in a state of amazement as everything is completely new and revolutionary technology for her.

Most of the time she is so overwhelmed about how great this new place is that she doesn't question things; the lack of night is scary, so is the lack of stars but the amount of light is new and strange and nighttime isn't a priority anyway. She enjoys all the new experiences including food. Occasionally she will become distressed, usually in startling or difficult situations and become upset because she has no parents any more and that is the worst thing that could happen in her perspective.

Biography: (3 to 5 paragraph description)
Being born in 450 B.C would never seem like a pleasant thing, especially retrospectively, even worse for girls. Cammila was just that though, a girl born in a world for men. Cammila never really got a chance to experience the world much, so our story shant be as devastating as some of the time.

Her mother was married to a richer man and had several children before Cammila, and by the time the child disappeared there would be a few more. The first was a strong boy, Edelmar , a perfect heir to the Ocaris name and a fine son. He grew and learned and went to school, never caring much for his siblings. The second was a pair of girls, Gavrilla and Gaynora, Gavrilla died at a young age from sickness and Gaynora grew on to help her mother and the slaves keep the house. She learned to sew and helped with the next two children before being married to a handsome youth. Garrette came next, another boy to replace a lost child. He was meek though and not as mighty as his eldest brother, he enjoyed helping look after the girls and protecting the house while the older men were away.

Then came little Cammila, blessed with beauty and kindness and loved by her elder brother and sisters. She grew up much like Gaynora, though not quiet as sad. She learned to sew and clean and keep a home. She played with Garrette, enjoying the boyish games he brought home to share with her. They were best friends but as he went off to school they grew distant.

At ten years of age Cammila knew who her husband would be, though the would wait until she was fourteen to actually marry her. In this time she gained another two siblings, Tavetti and Saburo, a girl and a boy who she had the pleasure of helping look after. Really she loved her siblings.

About a month before her wedding day she turned fourteen. A few days later she found herself at the river gathering water, and then she wasn't. It was a whole new world, a dream really. Everything was made of silver even the floating beasts. At first she was frightened, but the strange city turned out to not be so bad, perhaps she thought, this was Athens; the city of wonder.

I like your character a lot. A little girl from the past, lost in a strange new world, perfect. First erase my little parenthesed (3 to 5 paragraph description). Then go ahead and copy that into the character section.

I'm going to go ahead and start on my first IC post. I'll have my character wander around the city confused and such. Perhaps find a clothing store and get some new clothes, being that we all start off with an ugly gray track suit. You can wait for me to post if you want to build off mine. Or you can just work on it independently and our characters can meet later. The choice is yours.

Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out a personality and biography for him. I got to there and now I can't decide how I want to play him.

I have done a few minor updates to the opening OOC post, most notably to the Characters section. Please take a look at these changes, as they may clear up some questions. Other minor changes were made in order to cut back on redundant coding.

I'm interested, very interested, but since I don't know how often you want this thread to update I can't dedicate just yet.

So, what sort of In-Character activity amount are you looking for? I'll be upfront and say that the best number for me is "1-2 times per week." Anything more frequent than that would make me a risk factor. I neither wish to slow down your roleplay if you want folks to post once a day or the like, nor do I wish to say "I'll try to keep up" and be unable to (since that kills roleplays).

Should your players avoid playing historical figures, or was that something you were hoping your players would try?

Do you want submitted characters to avoid having certain skillsets? For instance, do you want them to NOT be super well trained Spartan warriors? NOT be a member of the CIA? Etc.

Again: I'm very interested, but I don't want to say "I'm in" until I know if I'll be a good fit for your RP.

Thank you for your consideration and thought. I do want people that play to post at least 4 or 5 times per week. So that may be a bit of a stretch for you, but if 2 or 3 of those are just a well thought out paragraph or 2 that's just fine.

As far as historical figures or super well trained warriors, that's a no. Your character can be athletic or even trained in fighting, but no masters of anything. They need to be considered about average at whatever it is they do.

Let me know what you think! :)

4 or 5 times a week would be too much for me, so I'll step out. It's very possible that I can post that often, but it's also just as possible that college will rear its ugly head and bite my time in half, leaving you with... well, a deadweight player. I don't want to be a deadweight player.

I'll bow out. Thanks for responding in a timely fashion, and good luck with this roleplay! Again, this looks really fun.

That was a beautiful introductory post for your character! You have a few grammatical issues that you could edit, but I'm not really concerned about that. I'm more concerned about how well you painted the scene. Bravo lady! Bravo!
