@Antarctic Termite, i don't want to tell you that trying to improve is bad, but constantly going over what you've already written to "Improve" it is just a mug's game. You're never going to get it absolutely right.

@The book of bad juju This is relevant for when I'm tinkering with character sheets, but I'm thinking more about making the next post funkier and fresher than fiddling about with the stuff I've already tapped up unless there's actually a continuity issue. Read what one writes, leave it hanging in the air, bring it over to the next thing.

I'm gonna wait until another few magical girls show up to intro and then see if I can get a rough locations map up based on everyone's descriptions.

For now, Julia and Minerva are in the alleyway, while Kei and Ludmilla are in the crowds. Julia's transformed and heading straight for Minerva, while both Kei and Ludmilla are mingling with the crowds in the parade, untransformed and likely to not even notice the other. Mary Beth is selling sweets in the crowd, untransformed, and Fredrica is elsewhere, in what i think is an abandoned warehouse.

I'll update this post once we get more people trickling in.

... Well. As far as I know, I'm stuck in the barrier/labyrinth of the Witch. That's where I intended to start. Does anyone know the description of the Witch's labyrinth? I might need it. Unless I can't be there, of course, then I have a very different problem. Haha. I'll just wait for now~

Ok so I decided not to assign specific locations to any characters because that might feel restrictive and make it harder for us to meet each other spontaneously but I still drew a close-ish-to-real-life map of Danzig's historical city center and WOW GUYS EXPLORING EUROPE IN GOOGLE EARTH IS FUN?? GDANSK IS REALLY PRETTY?

Anyway here's the scrap map. And here.

Put yourselves wherever you want, depart from the actual geography of the city as much as you want, it doesn't actually matter.

The main things to note about what Danzig's city centre is like is that the space between the railway and the river is full of touristy old buildings and roads exclusively for walking, and there are in fact a bunch of side-streets, many of which lead to small parks. To the east is a maze of canals, if anyone ever sends their character there. Northwards lies a major river and then the Baltic.

The cathedral is St. Mary's Church and it's absolutely huge, so if you want dramatic rooftop views, they're just two roads away; There's also what I think is a university on the other end of the same road that's not as tall but I think has a wider, flatter roof for duelling on. don't look at me i'm not an architect

There's a long street bounded on both sides by elaborate gates that's wide and full of tourist attractions, nicknamed the Royal Road, that I'm assuming is our parade route. It looks cramped in but the scale is fairly big, so there's plenty of space to sneak around north and south of it. On its east side there's a bridge over the big canal, on the west there are highways and railways.

@Antarctic Termite I feel like it ought to be mentioned again, even though it's probably obvious: This is doubtlessly not an identical Danzig to what you might encounter travelling to Poland right now. After all, this is an unspecified future. I feel like this fact has been a little overlooked so far, in the conduct of the players and less so in the content of their characters.

I think this is why dank memes are discouraged. Because that's very much a construct of modern culture, and sort of clashes with the vaguely timeless Madokaverse.

I'm well aware, but I had a load of fun. I still want to do some cool shit around the cathedral now that the idea is there. The inspiration, again, is take it or leave it- Either way it helps us start kicking around ideas for what scenery we can all write into the background rather then leave the city not only appropriately unspecified, but also entirely vague.

The memes have been in my sheet since the very start, though, so you could've dropped that note earlier.

Hello, all. So... I'll attempt an introduction, please bear with me. (Ignore my title and picture, they're always set for a different rp I've been in for years.)
I got a response to a pm I sent expressing interest as the interest check said to do, saying there are enough spaces for me to try to join. I'm not good with talking to people until I've known them a while, so I'd like to apologize for awkwardness (especially OOC) preemptively.

I'm waiting on Experience and ToF rolls before I post a character sheet. I've thought up three possibilities of which I'll choose from based on the dice results and any feedback after that, so any issues with whatever I go with would be helpful to know once possible.
