I don't know if you realize this or not, DJ, but these comments makes it feels like you're treating this scene like a competition. At least to me. This isn't the arena, hun. If you're going to treat it like that, I don't see the point in me posting much or at all. Especially since Haze is going basically going to be doing all the killing and Vellios is basically just there for show and nothing more. Out of all the scenes, I've only killed two guys because I'm being respectful by letting the other players shine and not step on toes. Vellios isn't a biotic or tech, he's a soldier who doesn't have much of a specialty save beat the shit out of things and maybe, MAYBE creative thinking.
Haze has killed how many? For an underdog, he's already killed more than Vellios despite my pc's training, experiences and slightly unstable nature in battle. I understand you're excited but this is also a team effort, like a tag team in the arena you need to build or work with what your team provides. Not take advantage of it and steal the glory. Not trying to be a downer here btw and I say this with the utmost respect and reason as well.
Don't ask me how, but I somehow missed this entire conversation.
What Fallen brings up is a very good point that I've touched upon in PMs about having characters do too much per post, and while it's great and all for any one character to be a super badass, it's kind of boring for anyone else involved in a scene if one or two characters end up killing everyone in a post to show off their skills. Likewise, with Tanya, I more or less had her kill one of the technicians, weaken another's shielding, and the drone dismember another one while specifying that there were several other bad guys around and that she was pinned down, which Aeron responded to by having Alex take the heat off.
I'm quoting this post to reiterate it for everyone; sharing is caring, and no one person is going to be coming out of a fight against numerous bad guys on top unscathed if they just rush in there. Heck, that warehouse situation went by a lot faster than I would have expected, and not sure if you guys remember what I said about named NPCs, but I did say that they are controlled by Hellis or myself, so defeating Three Eye and killing all his goons in the span of a few paragraphs is kind of power gaming a bit. It kind of feels like you guys aren't really treating these guys as a credible threat.
Mop up 5 dudes? That's quite the mop up. You could leave one or two for Vellios...
And Kasy will punch anyone who gets in her way... But she will probably speak to the person before killing her.
And I'm going to quote this because 5 guys is way too many for a "mop up". Once again, treating the bad guys like they're push overs isn't really fun for anyone, and if anyone's going to try to take on those odds, they will be facing some injuries, to say the least. Hell, go play paintball and try running into a room full of people and see how that goes. Even if it's a bunch of squeaky 12 year olds, it doesn't take much for one or two of them to turn around and turn you into a colourful bukkake.
Anyways, this is part of the reason why I kind of want to push you guys to start taking on individual posts instead of big collabs because it's moving things along really fast and we're starting to get into pissing contests with each other. Team work, everyone. Remember we're a bunch of ragtag assholes and not a special forces outfit taking out a bunch of goat herders.
