[OOC] Underlake: An Othertale

[Major Ursa]

Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS.
One day, war broke out between the two races.
After a long battle, the humans were victorious.

They sealed the monsters away in many different locations, different spells…
…Mirth Valley was once such location.
With their various enchanted weapons stuck into the top of pillars constructed to stand out of the crevasses in the ground, the monsters in the caverns were trapped under a thick barrier.
Several centuries would pass, with this particular legend forgotten. A dam would be constructed, the artefacts of another time covered up by rock and dirt of past landslides now further sunken in water.

Lake Mirth 19XX

Several old wooden items washed up. Upon inspection, there are old carvings upon the length of them. And expert has been brought in to collect and examine them; the old legend has resurfaced…

Lake Mirth 21XX

Four staves and three swords have been collected over the years. A dive team has gone missing, and not month later, after the report of a faint light signal seen in the water…another team is sent down.

2. No godmod, no metagaming. Let me know what color Papyrus' fabled blue attack is at the end of your CS, if you are reading this.
3. Character to character violence should be discussed ahead of time, and thus mutual. You guys plan out what lands and what misses. Harsh language will happen.
4. Wait two posts before posting again, and post at least twice a week.
5. One paragraph minimum, ten lengthy paragraphs maximum per most.
6. Feel free to ask questions, make suggestions, and correct me...(I'm only ferret)

Yesh! Here's my Monster! (She's harmless, I swear. )

Your friendly neighborhood Isa

Name: Isa Nicolai

Appearance: She has legs when on dry land, the outer scales of her tail becoming a sort of built-in skirt, although her legs are covered in smaller scales like the rest of her body is too. While her "skin" may look normal, it's all just small scales.


Personality: Perseverant. Isa is mostly kind and likes to help her fellow monsters, and is kinda ditsy when she's alone. Often thinks out loud.

Bio: Isa is the youngest member of (whatever the Royal guard is here) And is eager to show her skills, to prove herself to everyone. Her mother died when she was too young to remember, and her father taught her everything she knows about fighting, and to never show mercy in a real fight. She and her father are sort-of well known, although Isa never seems to stick in anyone's mind very long.

Relations: Her father is also a member of the royal guard. She has no other family.

Skill: Good at reading people's intentions and picking up on hidden motives. She is faster than she looks, and quick-thinking.

Weapon: She can use pretty much any weapon, but prefers using knives or a slingshot.

Armour: Her scales are a type of natural armor, about the same as leather in strength.

Fight: Isa has a Mid-range fighting style, using both blue and orange attacks from time to time. During her "boss battle" She can turn the soul blue, enacting basic gravity on it.

Act:
*Flirt: You flirt with Isa. Isa becomes flustered, her Attack and Defence dropping for the next 2 turns
*Truth: You tell Isa the truth about something. Isa begins to believe you and trust you. Tell her the truth 3 times, not necessarily all in the same fight, and Isa will no longer fight you, unless you do something to lose her trust.
*Lie: You tell Isa a lie. Isa can tell that you're hiding something, and her attacks become faster and harder to dodge. Lie multiple times and this effect worsens.

Mercy:
Tell her the truth 3 times, then spare her.
OR
Try to spare her at least once, then use any item given to you by a monster you are friends with.

The fight will end either way, and Isa will not fight you again unless you do something to lose her trust.

(Papy's Fabled blue attack is: Blue. Who knew? :D )

Good-natured but troublesome.
Bio:
Dorkle Stein's parents are both librarians at the local library. He is currently an assistant librarian though he would much rather be a scientist. In his spare time, he had created a mini-lab in his family's shed. He does a handful of experiments and records his findings in hopes that some top-notch scientist would be impressed and take him under their wing. He is especially fascinated with humans at the moment. If only he could find some that would let him experiment on them... just a little.

Basic white pellets fight in form of darts.
Act:

*Check - Tells the player, “He isn’t used to being hit on.”// After flirting, “Maybe you should give him a better idea”.
*Tease - Makes Dorkle angry and his attacks gets more aggressive
*Flirt - Confuses Dorkle and his attacks get weaker
*Inspire - Gives Dorkle an idea but it depends on what was done already. If it is the first thing done, it does nothing. If it is done after teasing, his attacks goes insanely fast and aggressive. If it is done after flirting, he comes up with a solution that would benefit both parties.

Mercy: Flirt, then Inspire.

Bio: After an accident when Skylar and Frisk were younger, Skylar had to look out for the both of them, and she often took on odd jobs while attending school in order to keep both her and Frisk afloat, and in hopes that she would be able to get a better career later on. She soon managed to pass a class on diving and she is now able to take on higher paying jobs that required the ability to dive and swim. The latest job was being part of the rescue team to go and save the missing team that sent a light signal from the bottom of Lake Mirth.

-Has a younger sibling named Frisk. She is practically their guardian as well as the Cool Big Sister.

Personality: Passionate but without ambition. Frequently uses odd logic to support arguments and has little interest in reality.

Bio: System was raised in [Town] by her older brother Roman. Roman was fairly hard boiled and the such, but loved and sheltered his sister a lot. He worked as a private investigator, setting up his office in the first room of he and Systems home. The work was alright and money came in at a decent rate. Until one day where he went to go look for something and never came back. Everyone in [Town] claimed they never asked the question when System went to go ask them. Now she runs the office, doing some private investigating of her own on the side, the best ships.

Relations:
Roman - Brother, Missing

Skill: Surprisingly good at perceiving, interpreting, and drawing conclusions.

Weapon: 1060 folded carbon steel katana hand forged with a unique hilt that-

Armour: Stitched Bow

Fight:
System fights at close range using magical projections of her sword, and miniature [Or chibi as she calls it] versions of herself that shoot out small slow moving projectiles. These "chibis" can be shot down with the yellow soul, which she will give the player before she introduces these type of attacks.
Act:
[*Check] - 25 ATK 10 DEF. She seems more interested in looking up at the ceiling than fighting you.

[*Insult] - You insult her appearance. Her attack speed increases for a turn. If done after Listening 3 times, you insult her 'husbando', and her ATK and attack speed increase for a turn, then she wants to leave.

[*Listen] - You listen to her ramble about this great romance she read, but interrupts herself to attack you. Selecting her command 3 times in a row allows her to finish.

Mercy:
Listen X 3, Insult, Spare.

Name: Nina Sari
Appearance:

Soul Color: Purple (Perseverance)
Bio: She's a professional diver/field archaeologist. She's one of the divers from the first group, the one that sent out the signal to get the next group to come look for them. She got separated from the other members of her group and has been looking for them, managing to evade capture by the monsters so far.
Relationships: her fellow divers all know that she's willing to listen if they need someone to talk to, she considers all her colleagues a friend. She's an only child, and her parents are on the surface hoping she'll come home safe.
Skill: Good at making snap-decisions and diffusing difficult situations between peers. (aka taking control when needed and stopping arguments easily)
Equipment: Wet suit, other diving equipment, multiple hair ties that she wears around her wrist like bracelets, and a piece of obsidian that functions as a good-luck charm.

Pap's attack is blue.

Sorry the Bio's kinda short, I couldn't think of anything else to add that wasn't just fluff. If having her be with the first group of divers won't work I'll change it, just thought that would be a cool Idea.

One of the humans actually died when they first got down there, one is living with the humans, and the rest are possibly hiding.
