People with deep and dark issues can be mysterious and alluring, it can be tempting to jump in there and be their light, it can be tempting to say to yourself, 'all they need is a decent human being in their life,' but it just never is that simple. Don't go in there, especially not if you're hoping that your presence will drag out of whatever pit they're in.
What you should do is find a friend - someone in whom you see something that you would like to see in yourself, and who sees something in you that they'd like to see in themselves. Someone who gives and contributes to your personality and life as much as you do to theirs.a
