Since the beginning, there have been 2 major races: the children of the light and the children of the darkness. However, this is not a story of good verses evil. No, no. Neither side is considered "good" or "evil". As a matter of fact, both children or light and dark were once allies.

The children of the light and the dark stayed on their sides of the border and on occasion, would interact with each other. This is because neither side can last very long on the opposing territory, often meeting at the boarder between the two wolds. Both worlds and both races were very different. The children of the light are beings of beauty that rivaled that of the dazzling sun. They are healers and creature of life. Their world is bathed in sunlight, warmth, and life. The children of light are, by nature, kind, warm, gentle people. They specialize in fire, light, lightning, healing, and water magic. They are have slender, thin, lean builds, and are very quick, agile, people. Physically they are weak and tend to rely on their speed more. The children of the light are elves, angels, humans, fearies, and any other being know to dance in the sunlight.

On the other hand, the children of the dark are beings shrouded in darkness and mystery. They are also very beautiful beings, however, their beauty reflects that of the Moon. Like the moon, their beauty is best seen in the dark, where they thrive. Their world is that of eternal darkness, cold, and death. Very little vegetation grows there and their world is always covered in a thin layer of frost. From a young age, the children of darkness are taught to be ruthless, cunning, and cruel. They are trained to be the perfect warriors. They are strong and fast. Their builds tend to be tall, broad shouldered, and muscular. On some occasions there will be a few with more lean slender build. The specialize in dark, ice, Earth, illusion, blood, and black magic. The children of the dark consist of demons, phantoms, werewolves, vampires, and any other creature that has been known to lurk in the shadows.

Everything was fine and dandy between the two races for many, many years. However, like all typical stories of light and dark forces, things didn't go to well and war broke out between the two nations.The cause of this war? Simple. Growing populations. The nation of the dark had a sudden population BOOM, and with a larger population comes the need for more land for citizens to reside and the need for more food to sustain the new lives.

The king of darkness went to the king of light, asking for a small portion of land to sustain this sudden large growth. The king of light, fearing that if he gave the land would cause an uprising or the king of darkness to ask for more land, refused to give up the land. Thus the king of darkness returned to his hungry, crowded kingdom empty handed.

Time went on and the population of the children of darkness continued to grow at a rapid rate. The kingdom had become desperate and finally decided to take the land by force. This is where the war official begins. At first it was just a few raids from against the farmers. It was an annoyance, to say the least, for the farmers to come home to find their crops stolen or destroyed. However, what caused the children of light to retaliate was when a child was hit in the crossfire and ended up succumbing to their injuries.

More time passes and the war is full swing between the two nations. Both sides have created well fortified armies. Raids and loss of innocent life has become fairly common for both races. So much so, that the population has dropped to the point where both races would be able to live comfortably in their old borders. So why is both races still at war? Over the years spent fighting, rumors, bitterness, grudges, hatred, and the need for vengeance have consumed both races. What was once a squirmish over a small bit of territory, has become a war over old grudges, greed, hatred, and pride. It has become a war in which no side can win. The only way to stop this war now and to save both sides from destruction, is through love and forgiveness. But how can such a thing occur after years of blood and senseless slaughter? That's what you are going to have to find out.

Will love manage to somehow bloom on the battlefield and save both races?

Human

Humans are fragile beings that are susceptible to illness and injuries. They can be one of the most weakest races and one of the strongest races. Their life expectancy ranges from 70 years to 90 years of age. Humans are very intelligent creatures and are easy to adapt to their surroundings. They specialize in healing and lightning magics.

Unlike the other beings of light, humans can be bitten by creatures of darkness, such as vampires, werewolves, and demons, and join their ranks. Some to when a human dies, they can become a phantom.

Elves

Elves are very quick and agile beings, yet are physically weak and rely on their agility and speed. They have a thin taller build, pointed ears, and incredible eye sight and accuracy, making them ideal archers and long distance fighters. They also are the second shortest, along with faeries, in life expectancy at 500 years to 1000 years of age. Elves tend to specialize in healing, light, and lightning magic. However, some elves have been able to perform fire or water magic.

Faeries

Faeries are spirits of nature and life. They are not known to be fighters, however, there have been a few cases where faeries have been soldiers. Faeries are one of the only light beings that can fly (along side angels). They have small, thin builds, butterfly/dragonfly wings, and pointed ears. It is said that, when flying, faeries are nearly impossible to spot. This is true to a certain extent. Faeries are quick and cleaver creatures. They specialize in lightning, fire, light, and water magics.

Angels

Angels are extremely rare amongst their race, with only a few handfuls left in existence. They are immortal beings that are the most pacifistic race by far. They have slender builds and bird like wings on their backs. They are known to be gentle and warm creatures by nature and try to avoid conflict by all means. They specialize in fire, light, and healing magic.

The blood and tears of an angel have special and mysterious healing abilities. Some say that they give immortality. However, only the king of light knows their true nature.

Creatures of Darkness

Phantoms

Phantoms are the spirits of humans that died before they were supposed to or died a gruesome death. They are able to be seen and heard, yet very few are able to actually touch them. Phantoms tend to wander aimlessly, as they cannot touch most people making them essentially harmless, until they are able to move on. They specialize in illusions, ice, and black magic.

Werewolves

Werewolves are beings that appear to be human, however, they are anything but. Werewolves that are born, have the ability to change between wolf and human at will. Werewolves that are bitten, on the other hand, are influenced by the moon and only change under the full moon. Those that are bitten are guided by pure instinct, which also effects when they change. Werewolves have incredible sense of smell, hearing, and sight and are pack animals. However, while they live for a long time, they're not immortal beings. Werewolves are very strong and very fast beings. The males have large, muscular builds and broad shoulders. The females have more lean builds. Werewolves are the only race that cannot perform magic.

Vampires

Vampires are more uncommon and while they can live for thousands of years, they are not immortal. They are very beautiful beings that sustain themselves on a diet of fresh blood. They use their good looks to draw their prey in close, where they can finally strike. Vampires are very fast creatures with a strength of an average man. They have slightly muscular and lean builds, giving them a more delicate look to them. When they are feeding, or about to feed, their eyes glow a bright crimson. Of course, by the time their victims know what's happening, it's already too late. Vampires specialize in dark, illusion, and blood magic.

Demons

Like angels, demons are very rare, immortal beings, and only few are left in existence. They are the exact opposite of angels and are considered the aristocrats of the dark world. However, like angels, they can have bird like wings on their back, except their wings are black. They are beautiful creatures with with a diverse build range. They are fast and strong, perhaps the strongest of all dark creatures. They specialize in all types of dark magics.

Demons blood, like angel's blood, has mysterious and special powers. However, their true nature is unknown to all except the king of darkness.

Reapers

Much like phantoms, reapers are the souls of dead humans that died an early death. However, the cause of death was violent and gruesom, and they can be seen heard, and touched by all. They are mysterious creatures that rarely make themselves known to the living, unless they are about to die. Reapers, like all creatures of the night, are surprisingly beautiful, yet they choose to hide their face underneath a dark cloak. Their type of build varies a bit, yet they all have one thing in common; they are extremely pale. They specialize in ice, black, and illusion magic.

Lillian-Rose is a softspoken young elf (well; young by elf standards). She possesses a large heart. She cares deeply ccor each and every person, particularly children and dedicates herself to making the world a better place and making those around her happier. She can often come across shy and when its not as part of her business or it's not a child or someone she knows well she can be quite so. Sometimes she finds it hard to speak her opinion in fear of it leading people to not like her. She hates being disliked

Lillian-Rose is very dedicated to her work and won't rest until her client has exactly what they want, or even better. Because of her restless hours she is often tired but, over the years, she has come accustomed to ignore it, she just needs to spend a day to relax occasionally but in saying that she is used to living off little sleep.

History:

Lillian-Rose was born to weapon-maker Marcus Gathantis and his loving wife Gwendolyn. Marcus was well known for his weapons and even had the honour of making weapons for some of the king's generals! He was much the family man, however, and spent as much time as possible with his family.

At a young age Lillian-Rose showed interest in archery so her father taught her the basics. She often spent time in the nearby forest practicing her skills. She usually avoided using creatures as her target but occansionally brought an animal home for dinner.

When she was not yet a decade over 100 Lillian-Rose's father decided to offer to teach her his craft so soon enough she worked alongside her father. She quickly became quite skilled at such a trade. Many claimed it was in her blood. She claimed her father was an amazing teacher. She spent hours in her small cottage practicing the art of bow crafting and, once she got many generic designs right, designing and creating her own.

The war pressed closer and closer to her villiage and the demand for weapons became high, from both the village people and those from other villiages and cities. Lillian-Rose barely made use of the forest out of the large workload and due to the fact that, at any point, the war would reach them.

As the war continued Lillian-Rose's parents decided to go into places affected by battle to bring back wounded and those fleeing from war but Marcus was murdered in a crossfire. Gwendolyn, in a state of shock and despair, returned home for Lillian-Rose to move back into her parents home. With the war in full swing Lillian-Rose was left to run her father's business but the ever-growing war she knows that it probably won't be long she will have to fight in the war

He has an arsenal at home, however, he doesn't carry everything. He ain't strong enough. What he always carries is the sword and shield and occasionally, the bow and arrow as well.

Personality: Uriel is quite a loyal person. He will follow orders without question and is not able to feel mercy towards others as long as they are the enemy. Although his definition of an 'enemy' is not quite the same as others as his enemies are the state enemies, when you are not deemed an enemy anymore, he will stop acting hostile towards you. When you are a friend turned enemy, however, he will not hesitate to cut you down.

He isn't a very complicated character. He is quite simple. He's just a loyal warrior to his kingdom and will do everything to win for it. Although he isn't one dimensional. In truth, despite being raised to be cruel and ruthless, he is very peaceful and loves nature. He openly shows this side of him but no one dares to comment about it lest they want to meet the sharp end of a sword, a blunt edge of a mace or his armored first itself. He does truly care about other people but he does not openly show it. He only shows it when most needed and when it is directed to his beloved younger sister.

He has been shown to have an attachment to his suit and has never been seen taking it off. No one is sure if he even takes it off at night. Unknown to everyone, he has a soft and emotional side, thus his attachment to his armor. He never shows this side of him as he is afraid of being judged because of it. He doesn't feel ashamed that he has no wings like most of his brethren but he is ashamed of the fact that he is scared to fly or fall.

History: Uriel would've liked to say that his life has been normal... but it wasn't. Yes, he went through the usual training. Yes, he's just like any other Child of Darkness out there. But he was born without wings. At first, he found himself insecure about it and being bullied because of it. Although it wasn't too soon until they started to respect him after he beat them up, all at one with only a wooden sword against those flying idiots. He proved to have a greater power on ground than above it. His movements became more fluid.

One day, however, while he and his mother was patrolling the border, they were caught in a battle between five Children of Light. They were gravely outnumbered and so Uriel's mother took him, spread her wings and flew upwards and away. Unfortunately, an Angel can fly as well and his mother can't fight with her hands occupied with Uriel. Instead of doing anything else, she took the hit and they went plummeting down. His mother took most of the blow and he survived, but only barely since his armor wasn't all that great before. His mother had some last words though, a request to put on a suit of armor that she had once made. It belonged to his father once, who disappeared, and she made modifications to it and now it was his. And so starts his connection with the inanimate object which is the embodiment of his mother.

He trained for many years before entering the army. He quickly rose through the ranks and ended up as a general. He has shown great loyalty and has killed many Children of Light through uncanny tactics or his own blade. Although recently, he had become increasingly useful alone as he is useful in a group.

Extra: He has a younger sister but too young to fight so he does his best to protect her.

A scout of sorts, Velia is skilled in sending long-distance messages and in other tasks requiring her to use her speed. From time to time, she will even work as a spy for whoever pays her the most.

Her weapon of choice is her throwing knives; hand-crafted, wickedly sharp, and as light as a feather- when thrown by someone as skilled as her they could kill someone in an instant.

Personality:
Velia is not evil as much as she is mad. Her true character is unknown even to her as her life is a mixture of façades and lies. One moment she can be ditsy and child-like, the next she can be cruel and manipulative. Most that meet her often find her to be ageless; someone that has lost their way in the art of growing up and staying perched on the barrier separating childish influences and adulthood maturity. To those she views as on the same side as her, she is comfortable and almost friendly; but still has that broken essence to her that most can't place their finger on. Her abnormal creativeness and madness reaches to the point of insanity sometimes and often intimidates people. She has long lost the value of her own and anyone else's lives and can be counted on when it comes to reckless, life-threatening tasks.

She is often charming and flirtatious to anyone she finds attractive, yet is still to experience the feeling of actual love. Deep down, she craves for someone to care and love her in ways she so often sees on the light side, and this aspect of her, once discovered, can be surprisingly easily taken advantage of. However, if she feels as if someone is growing closer to her, her automatic reaction is to shut them out, adding to her self-destructive nature.

Although she is very dangerous, she can come to be surprisingly likeable and easy to get along with. Her charm and beauty she often uses to get what she wants. She isn't someone to trust, for sure, but she is a good person to be around.
