Exon: Group Dead
Azlion: Flirted with Aelia, got in a fight. Lost. Rya got roped into helping. They all accidentally got married. Aelia is a wimp, Rya is insane and Azlion secretly loves it. We just met Zil's asshole father and that is pretty much it.

@Framing A Moose In regards to #2, yes, make her as though she's just been brought into Shadow Worth. (That's the fortress where the choosing is taking place (can't remember if the OP says it or no)) She'll be brought in on the second night, so there'll be fewer brides, and fewer lords choosing.

In regards to the summaries, I'll have detailed summaries of absolutely everything that went down by the end-ish of this week (as in, I'll have them done by Christmas Eve) but what you really need to know has been summed up by @Ellion.

Actually, I do have a few questions. First of all, now that I know the OP is a bit out of date, I need to know the process in which Gem brides are chosen. And it was previously said that my character and @Belle's new character were both probably going to be part of @NarcissisticPotato's character's harem. Is this accurate? And if so, what's that group up to?

@Framing A Moose right so: Choosing is as follows.

Brides are paraded into a fabulous ornate chamber dressed in the finest clothing they owned.
They're lined up.
A horde of Drakken are waiting in the room. first-come, first-served basis- but you can challenge someone for the bride they claimed. It's typically quite violent and brutal, as claiming the "prettiest" bride in the room is seen as a status thing. After this brides are typically dragged off to a dinner and then to the lord's bedchambers.

Your character and Belle's are likely going to wind up with Rynek, yes. Right now Rynek is up to absolutely nothing - he had originally claimed Lienna Orhhneaht, but then Obscene Symphony (who was her player) dropped the roleplay, and I tried to take control of her but I already had five other characters to manage, so we just agreed to drop that storyline. I'd imagine Rynek is going to be brought back with a blank slate for the second night (as though the first night never happened) so, nothing new there.

And how are Gemmanite women chosen to be brides? By which I mean, how are women chosen to go to the Shadow Worth in the first place.

@Framing A Moose usually, drakken go to the gems cities/hometowns/villages and the gems are told they are pretty and torn from their families the rest of their lives. Some might have slight variations on it.

Wouldn't it be more likely that it's the Gems who do that themselves? I imagine Drakken barging into town to take people personally would not be good for public order, it would be smoother and more 'legitimate' for the Gemminite Nobles to appoint people to do it.

I'm actually still up in this RP. It's just that I'm not quite sure about the plot anymore. As regards my absence, I just got done with my thesis paper, and I'm just waiting for my grades to come up. Still keeping thumbs crossed that I get my diploma.

In any case, I'm still in this RP. If things change, I can just erase the last post and say that we are back in Shadow Worth since my brides and Cuwarr are already en route to their fortress. Also, I'd just like to ask if you guys have any events that Cuwarr can join in? I can work a post which will veer in that direction.

All brides have meet a certain standard to be accepted. I just feel like drakken should get some say in who they take, otherwise we would have more that come from poorer backgrounds than we do.

The way I always presumed before and now was there was a group of Drakken with cooler heads and lower standing whose job was bridal candidate selection; once however often, they fan out to the villages and select the Gems from the available maidens, incentivized to make good choices by a cut of the dowry and possibly the occasional commission for a particular type. The Gems have some haggling power and a few agreements (like not taking the heir apparent if she's an only child), but it's largely on the Fetchers.

That's my suggestion, take it or leave it.
