The Imperial fleet has discovered a new land across the ocean, one which is wild, as the Imperial lands once were, and full of creatures good and evil. As dangerous and untamed as it is now, though, only the military is allowed to travel to the New Continent. We all joined the military recently, and went there as part of the advanced forces. We just arrived at the only Imperial settlement on the New Continent, the walled Fort Narselis, named for Emperor Narselis himself, and must set out into an unknown land to prepare it for colonization.

In the lands of the Empire, all intelligent races live together in peace, as citizens of the Empire or its territories. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, even Orcs and other creatures that were once considered evil like Lycans and Vampires live together is relative harmony. All major settlements of evil beings are far from the towns, cities, and roads, where only serious adventurers and the military have seen them.

Rules:
1) No godmoding, etc.
2) Auto-hitting/killing will only be allowed once I think you are used to the creature's relative strengths and weaknesses. This is to guarantee that you aren't mowing through something that's supposed to be tough to kill. Any creature that this can be done to will be added to an "autokillable" list in the RP's OP.
3) IC drama is allowed, but keep it IC. We shouldn't be fighting OOC, especially about IC stuff.
4) Keep sexual stuff to PMs if you are going to do it.
5) You just graduated training and were put on a ship. This means you won't be a bad-ass, though you might have a few months of practice, so you'll be comfortable with your relatively weak abilities.
6) Have fun. Your characters don't have to be super serious, though if you want them to be, that's fine. Just play whatever seems fun to you.

@DuckOk, I was just thinking of adding "languages" to the CS when we go to an ooc because none of the natives would speak Imperial. They'll speak derivations of ancient forms of our languages. Speaking with them would be like an ancient Roman trying to understand modern English.

a few things:

1) race is something like Elf, Human, Orc, etc. At 11 feet tall I'd guess she was a giant, though that can be whatever want. Warrior & Wizard are more like classes.
2) fighting skills are things like swordsmanship, fencing, and martial arts. The spells you listed and enchanting would be magical skills, and the sword would be equipment.
3) Magical skills are where you list your specific spells and things like enchanting and potion making. As you were raised by a trainer, it would make sense if you were a bit more skilled than us, but the number of skills you have is a bit much, plus having an enchanted sword is too much if you have a lot of spells.

If you need an example, look at mine or Duck's CS.

@TheUnknowable Hey I am definitely interested! I would like to play a trapper character with minor illusion abilities (CS being written up now but I wanted to check with you first). Would that be alright? I am uncertain which type of magic category it would fall under based under your system if it is allowed at all. Let me know!

@EurmalEyeThat would be fine. Illusion could be Light elemental, or maybe some sort of telepathy, which would also be elemental (using mental energy instead of a normal element). Those would produce hologram-like illusions and mental illusions respectively. It could also come from a trickster god/demon or something similar through divine/demonic magic. Or it could be Arcane, which is versatile but not very powerful, but a trapper doesn't seem to be the kind that could afford to dedicate years to studying it.

Since I don't think I explained it well earlier, Arcane is basically a magical extension of what you understand about the world, so it can cover any area. If someone who studies arcane magic studies light, they learn to manipulate and produce it with magic. If they study movement/physics, they learn to move things with magic, IE, telekinesis. If they study the mind, they learn to manipulate and read it, ie telepathy. This makes it versatile, but because you have to learn how to do it through intellectual study it is slow to improve more than one area. My character, for example, is too ADD to stick with one subject long enough to become powerful in one type of arcane magic.

Two characters could work, but if they aren't related in some way it gets confusing for me to keep track of who controls each. If Kerl's wife and family came with him, for example, that would be close enough to remember. Controlling two characters is fine, though, as long as you can do two of them at the same time. Since we'll be operating as a group, that's fine, sense they'll be there together regardless of if they are linked.

Also, I just remembered that I forgot to add the link to the OOC, so here it is. I added a "languages" section to the CS there, though.

Okay! Yeah I definitely understand why it could get complicated with two characters; the reason I ask is because the second character I have in mind is someone I usually pair with Kerl, and I like to have two contrasting characters when I rp so that I don't feel stuck with one personality type, if that makes sense :) I can definitely do both of them at the same time, as they are friends and would spend most of their time near each other (I also don't mind splitting my posts in half if they're apart)

I'll write up a second one on the OOC thread and I guess we'll see how that turns out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(Oh, and I'll add the languages)

I'm somewhat interested. But first, I was wondering if it would be at all possible for me to make a character who's a native that somehow ended up involved with the Imperial military as a translator/diplomat? I just think that playing a character who is thrust into entirely foreign situations, whether by force or chance, would be really enjoyable. I would be more than willing to flesh out the details with you if you need me to. :D
