Aly's eyes glared up at him, as she clunched her fist up. She tried to hold back her anger but failed to do so as it showed. Her face brightened with anger as her 'mom' was brought out. She stood up slamming her hand on the table. " What do you know about my parents? " she questioned. She glared him as she defended herself. "I can to think for myself!"

"If you insist on acting like children I will treat you like a child Aly. You had a chance to prove yourself and you failed. So today your going into the classroom. You will be given another chance to prove yourselves. The more you prove yourself the more respect and freedom you get. I know you don't trust me Aly. I don't mind. I will prove myself. Once you have eaten you will be taken to the room I designed for learning and growing the powers I have given you." Vlad told her.

I'd finish munching on an apple as I raised my hand. "Sir, what exactly do you mean by training." I blinked, holding back the urge to yawn as I was still quiet tired.

He almost smiled at her reaction, leaning over on one hand to cup his cheek. Eryx gave her his normal bored expression however and waved her off. "Would you like me to say in front of all these people? Be a shame wouldn't it?" He bluffed, using his unreadable mind to his advantage while he read people with his newfound hypersensitivity to details.

Aly glared Eryx before she turned to Vlad. "Th-thats not fair!" She exclaimed. She looked around as she sighed sitting back down in the chair. She glared Eryx, god she really wanted to punch him. She shook her head as she tried to read his mind unaware of the fact she couldn't. The plan back fired. She bit it lip closing her eyes closed as she moaned slightly trying to hide the pain. She put her head back as the voices went on and on, like a thousand things speaking at once. It was unbearable.

"You actually tried, can't even recognize bait." Eryx said, his smirk now dominant. The smallest twitch in the eye, the biting of her lip, after she threw back her head even one of the idiots could see the pain she was in. Another opportunity, he knew his thought process would be too much to understand but her pain gave him another clue as to how it worked as well as more bait for the line of provocation.

"You can't comprehend my mind, you aren't smart enough, though the continued pain." Eryx tilted his head a little to the other side curiously. "You aren't reading minds, you're establishing a link between them, that's why Vlad didn't want to be damaged. Can you concentrate enough to stop it though?" Among his studies he had flipped through dictionaries, gradually learning any language he could find reference too. He layered his thoghts over and over in every language he knew.

"With that aptitude who knows what you might do later with these links, mind control? That'll be cute." He shut his eyes, taking a moment to clear his head of thought, he didn't want to be tazed for the continuous torture after all.

Ryan stood up. He was tired of hearing Eryx talk. His sarcasm pissed Ryan off. "Hey. Leave her alone. She might not be the brightest, but don't fucking terrorize her." Ryan said, an annoyed look on his face. He slowly walked towards Eryx, trying to talk something out rather than jump into fighting. He then looked at Alyssa, almost cringing at the amount of pain she was in. "Stop messing with him. You aren't going to win anytime soon." Ryan said, walking to her now. He was hesitant to try and comfort her, but decided not to. He didn't want to look "soft" in front of everyone. He then glared back at Eryx, a look of both disappointment and anger in his eyes. Ryan didn't like Eryx. Not one bit. And the fact that he had to be teammates with him got under his skin. He'd love to do anything to hurt the boy, or at least knock every smile off his smug face.

"By training I mean that you will learn how to do the things you don't know how to do. But first I need to know what you can do. We are going to start with power development. I want to see what you can do with the power I gave you. After that we will see some of the skills you learned on the streets." Vlad explained. He wanted to know what they could do beyond the official records.

She kept her hands on her head, the conversation they were having was pretty much a blur for her. She didn't say anything to Eryx's comment at the moment. The struggle of the voices,used up all of her concentration to go against the pain. She just wanted to scream but she couldn't scream not then. It took her a bit but she soon managed to get all of the voices out of her head, but the pain in her head lasted. She still had her hands on her head, when she opened her eyes to see Eryx's face. She was not only extremely tired now, she was pissed off. "Shut the hell up!" She snapped warningly.

"Hello, I'm doing being tazed, so what're we doing?" Avary asked as he sped into the mess hall in his pjs and sat next to them.
"Have you tried the waffles here? They are really good." He says nomming on a waffle.

"The only thing you can do doesn't work, you can't threaten me." Eryx says, turning his gaze slightly away. "I comprehend what you can do and what you're potentially capable of doing, it's just a matter of knowing how it works. So far I've found in the simplest terms that it's part of our brains, it all loops back there. Sadly I'm not sure most of you have one to begin with so I can't confirm that."

He looked to them each, slowly and carefully. "It has to do with ones personality. Ryan is a hothead, Aly is a depressed little girl, Lancelot speaks for himself, and Avery is probably confused about his sexuality." He ponders, tapping the table. "I think Vlad is one of us too, he pushed Aly out and sits there fearless despite knowing any one of us could kill him before the guards stopped us. Overconfident, uncaring, fibers slightly resembled modifications I can't understand yet. You could kill us all if you wanted too." He looks to Vlad, his eyes glistening with his own sick amusement.

Roxy wasn't sure that anyone was listening to Vlad. She sighed. This was bad. Very bad. She wished she could escape into the shadows but she couldn't. She signaled the guards but they ignored her. She moved as far from the others as the guards would allow her. She knew that things were going to be difficult and crazy. The others were only making it harder for themselves and each other.

She turned to Avery as she sighed. "No one cares about your waffles." She pointed out. Aly rolled her eyes at eryx's comment.'How does he know all of this?' She thought to herself, though no answers came to mind. She sighed getting the thought out of her head. She didn't like the commemt about being a little depressed girl, but she didn't comment on it, not knowing what to without getting herself into more trouble. "And what do you call yourself? Because all I see is a asswhole who thinks they know it all." She said at the end of his sentence, glaring up at him slightly to see what he was going to say.

"With the propper resources I could." Eryx admits, tapping his finger on the table a few times. "Last night I learned twenty-two languages in less than a minute, memorized every motor function of the human body as well as dogs with a number of details, 50 means of torture from different countries, and have established our abilities are a genetic manipulation and likely it was our parents that gave them to us from sleeping strains injected into them. It must have awful effects if used on subjects and we have to be born with it. Explains the age grouping and the fact we're being used instead of military volunteers. Also only ones that nobody would miss, there are many more out there I'm sure, wwaiting for the strains to be activated as ours have."

Ryan looked back at Eryx. "Wait wait wait. You mean to tell me my parents were injected with this shit?" Ryan said, looking at Vlad with a new found hatred in his eyes. He slammed a fist on a table, upset that he didn't have to live like this. Upset that his parents could still be alive right now, free of worry. Even if Vlad's program wasn't a part of this, Ryan was blaming him regardless. Ryan started to heat up, leaving a burn mark on the chair he sat on. Heat waves came off of him, making the room a bit warmer.

I sat silently at the table, having finished my breakfast. I occasionally glanced passively at the conversations and bickering going on before looking back to my table, trying to mind my own business. In my boredom I'd roll the core of an apple back and fourth.

Eryx set his eyes on Vlad's, he was showing Vlad what he wanted to see. Offensively Eryx knew his ability didn't carry as much, though he was processing everything, manipulating the anger in these criminals. He couldn't be sure of any of his accusations, even if they were the way he could make sense of this. One might notice if they're perceptive the way he'd been tapping the table ever so lightly, as if pulling strings of a puppet, comprehensive and controlling.

Aly glared eryx, as she flipped him off under the table. Chances were that he wouldn't be able to see it, and also neither would the guards. She shook her head, as she leaned back. "Either way your an asswhole" She stated. She looked away as he had brought up the topic of her parents once again. She raised an eyebrow as she said strains activated. She looked up at him."So your saying we had these powers in us before we came here? Then what did they inject us with on the first day?" She thought his idea was stupid. How would they know that all of them would become criminals.

"Activation agent, which is why they took us from criminal pools. People who had the strain and survived, and wouldn't be missed or questioned after if they were taken away." Eryx sat up again, tapping his neck where they were injected. "Teenage criminals aren't needed in the face of soldiers that would gladly volunteer and be much more effective. We were born with a strain, the strain was chemically activated because we survived being born with it. Anything else I have to dumb down for you sweetheart?"

Alyssa glared him. It all made sense in a way no matter what way she thought of it, she just didn't want to believe it. She sighed as she nodded slightly showing that she understood. "Don't call me sweetheart. I told you my name, and it's my only name you can fucking call me." She stated bitterly.
